He arrived after his normal operating hours and immediately got to work. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and efficient, but he went far beyond what was originally discussed. He quickly diagnosed the issue, helped complete the repair, and patiently waited while my husband went to purchase the correct parts, which took an additional 20-40 minutes. Once the parts arrived, Art finished the installation, reassembled everything that had been removed, and even cleared the error codes the vehicle had thrown during the repair process. Throughout the entire experience, he was professional, straightforward, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Art came prepared with an impressive array of tools and the expertise to handle whatever the job required. BEWARE - DO NOT GO HERE Vincent (owner) is a CROOK. I…read morebrought my car in because the electric power steering failed. It took him over two weeks to "diagnose" and attempt repairs. During that time, he replaced multiple parts that didn't fix the issue, then removed them, returned them to the manufacturer, and reinstalled the old ones (which has now caused the blind spot monitor sensor to fail). After more than two weeks without my vehicle, he finally told me the power steering was repaired. When I picked up my car, I was charged over $1,200. Before I left, he gave the usual speech about wanting customers to be satisfied and told me to bring the car back if anything was wrong. As soon as I turned the car on, warning lights started appearing. He told me they would reset themselves. Shortly after, I realized I could no longer control the windows from the driver's side, the blind spot monitoring sensor wasn't working, and several other issues had appeared, none of which existed before I brought the car in. I called him and returned the vehicle. He refused to take responsibility for the new problems that occurred while my car was in his possession. He claimed the car already had these errors, which is completely FALSE. He even said he has video footage to prove my windows didn't work (which his report from 2/14 clearly states otherwise)--unbelievable. Although he fixed one issue, several others were created in the process. Instead of addressing the damage, he accused me of "looking for someone to blame" and "trying to come up on him." He even told me I could sue him if I wanted to. All I want is for him to fix the other issues HE created. I requested a refund so I could take my vehicle to a qualified professional to have it properly repaired. He refused and insisted he had nothing to do with the additional problems. His own report reflects that my windows and blind spot monitor were working when the car was dropped off on 2/14. At that point, I knew he was a crook and was not going to fix any of the issues he created. Vincent, there is no need to respond by claiming I am lying or that my car arrived with all of these issues--it did NOT, and your own report reflects that. Based on other reviews here (which I truly wish I had seen before bringing my car in), this seems to be a pattern. Now my car is full of errors that will cost me a fortune to fix. I feel like a complete fool for taking my car here and dealing with this dishonest crook.

AutoInstincts diagnosed the issue quickly and said I needed a new trans pan gasket and it be $678 [4hrs of labor]. I approved it but when they started the work the tech found that the front 4 trans pan bolts were loose. They tightened the bolts, topped off the fluid and test drove it. No leaks. For this they only billed me $233. Either the tech or the shop mgr could have simply done the original job and made more $ but they both were honest, which is rare nowadays. I will be bringing all my Japanese cars to Auto-instincts going forward. I won't have to worry if they're overcharging or trying to upsell me.

After a quick phone conversation with Cina, he was able to take my car in the following day to complete motor mounts, transmission, differential, and brake fluid service. Additionally, he was able to point me in the right direction for my check engine light since my car has a special warranty on emissions parts, which is currently being serviced by BMW. This speaks volumes to his integrity as a business owner and doing the right thing for his customers because other shops would have charged me for the repair anyway without mentioning my warranty. It was a little pricey for him to go to the dealership and conduct the review but he found a ton of problems and ultimately recommended that I do not purchase the car. Francisco and company came to do a "repair" on one of my work vans. The van was having an issue…read moreturning over, and after charging me $55 for an inspection (I was notified of the fee AFTER the inspection), Francisco and his worker determined that I needed a new starter. The problem is after paying $500 for a new starter, my van still wouldn't start. After hours of trial and error, the mechanic decided to clean my battery terminals. Once finished, the mechanic determined it was a dirty terminal/battery issue, and not the starter. I could have cleaned the battery terminals for free. I could have bought a new kit for the terminals for $20 on Amazon. Instead, I'm out $500 for a starter I didn't need. I tried looking for a solution with Francisco. I tried to be understanding as I am a business owner as well, and I know mistakes happen. However, Francisco only offered me my $55 inspection fee back. At first, I was insulted. I could have a asked for a complete refund. But then I thought to myself, I'll just take the $55 and be done with this problem. We are going on 4 days, I have been left on read multiple times, and am still waiting on the $55. I tried to be nice but instead feel taken advantage of. I know how costly these reviews are to businesses, I hope it was all worth your $55.

When i asked for a quote it went from $1,400 then he bumped it up to $2,650 then again bumped it up to $3,252 and wasn't done yet he either missed something on the estimate or had not done a job like this before because after all that he wanted another $440 because he didn't realize that when removing lifters, cam and timing chain you have to out the engine back on time, thats some mechanic but even then i agreed to pay but only to catch his worker trying to add water into my coolant reservoir like if he didnt know that water doesn't mix with all coolants. The day after he " finished" I realized 3 bolts on the cylinder head were broken when i brought this up the answer was " we dont fix that so thats why the mechanic didnt even bring it up".. after that i realized that my oil pressure had dropped significantly and his answer to that is that my oil pump had suddenly gone bad. Thats same day my car got a check engine for a lean condition and as days passed i got another code for a cylinder misfire then another code for random cylinders misfiring. The only thing my vehicle had was a tick but after these guys worked on it came with way more and worst problems. After notifying francisco of all this he just stopped replying. That is no way to make business. Id stay away from giving them any business, they might be okay for small maintenance jobs but thats about it.
