Today, 2/9/19 the man Librarian at the information desk was so useless. He barely wanted to help and told me he couldn't extend my time on computer when it has been done before if nothing is reserved afterwards. I didn't even waste my breath on him. I hate staff that work with the public and have attitudes and a bad demeanor He doesn't know how to operate a computer or uploading. He isn't good at just saying I don't know!

This summer is the summer of library visits. because of the LA Public Library Stamps, I have been…read moreon a mission to collect as many library stamps as I can. This is a cute library with a small parking lot attached. Staff is friendly. There's usually a cart of free books to take at the entrance. My usual local library (North Hollywood) was recently closed for maintenance so I had a few holds sent to this library for pick up. Definitely going to come back to check out their events in the future

I have been to most of the libraries in the LA COUNTY system. I like them all, but something about…read morethe Studio City Library always does it for me. I go their pretty frequently, but not that often. It is close to home and when I need to get some work done of any kind, I need peace and quiet; since you can't do much at home. Too much distraction from neighbors and every day life. I need to address some highlights to certain things that gets my attention. First and foremost, I would like to describe the beauty of the architecture of this building. It is very well curated in a very unique way with white, beautiful flowers all around the building and parking lot. Inside is very CLEAN, bright, lit, with high ceilings. It has plenty of room to move around, lots and lots of tables/chairs, a separate room for children's section, an information desk, lots of computers with free WI-FI, shelves are very nicely organized with all types of books. Fiction, non fiction and other types of books. They have a full rack of MAGAZINES in the back, but YOU CAN ONLY USE THEM INSIDE THE LIBRARY! Can't check them out. An easy check out system by their employees, and they are pretty fast and quick. Employees are very nice, helpful and friendly. I have to mention them by their names. Not in any particular order: Brian, Devin, Dominique, Vince, Lupe, Kim, Kristine, and there was a lady by the name of Maureen that no longer works there. ALL SUPER HELPFUL whenever you need anything! I not only like to go and work there, do some paperwork, write bills, organize miscellaneous things etc...I also like to rent DVD's from this library, books, and if you request a movie or a book and they don't have it on the shelf, the process is SEAMLESS. You tell them what you need, and they will get it for you within a week and place it on their HOLD shelf, email or call you that the items are ready to be picked up. Has an ample size parking lot, clean restrooms for boys and girls, and a water fountain to fill up your bottle. What more can one ask for?? I truly love STUDIO CITY BRANCH LIBRARY in every way!! :-)) Thank you for serving the public, community for over 30 plus years!!

I visited during noon/ afternoon maybe that's why it was not busy. I noticed there were several computers and table available for people to use. This library has a security by the door which makes the experience better since the area is not the best. This library has a huge selection of books. I noticed they have books in stock that are hard to find in other libraries. When I visited there were couple of seniors playing chess. It was very interesting to see people playing chess in a library. For parking, this location has a private parking lot. Parking is not an issue since there is always couple of empty spots. Also, there is a shopping center close by which has a huge parking lot.

It lets people come by and check out some booked and resources while also running errands. As much as I love a good library tucked away a bit in a residential area, it's great to also have some prominently placed in shopping areas. I am currently trying to visit all of the library locations for their 100th anniversary and one thing I've noticed is that most of them have tiny parking lots. But, because of this location, it's got an over abundance of spots which is amazing! No need to worry about street parking or anything like that. Once inside, the staff here is wonderful. They're so friendly and helpful and when they saw why I had visited, they were so happy to point out certain 'highlights' of the branch. You could tell they love their job/library and that love translates in to wonderful experience.

Once you're able to find parking (this branch's parking lot is practically non existent), the location is nice. It's somewhat plain inside, but that doesn't really bother me. I come to a library to look for & check out books so not having a ton of things on the walls or other decorations helps keep me focused. I've noticed this on almost all of my library stops, but I will say it again here: the staff is wonderful. The librarians were so wonderful and so helpful. I came here to get the branch stamp they have for the 100th anniversary of the LAPL and they lit up when they saw me ask for a stamp. They asked me how it was going & if I needed help getting to any other branches. Even when I'm not asking for books they still bend over backwards to help me. I absolutely love it.

But I absolutely missed out on calling this my local branch. It is an absolutely stunning branch. It's small, but the architecture and windows are just so beautiful that you can't help but just walk around and take it all in. This branch feels more like a monument than a library. Or, maybe it's just a monument to books. Staff was so incredibly friendly. When I came in saying I was on a quest to get all of the 100th anniversary branch stamps, not only did the woman help me get my stamp, but she also provided me with a pamphlet on the library and the area, other information on local events, and a ton of coloring materials for my kids. All without having to ask for it! She was just that happy to help. The branch is next to a large park so it's a wonderful area to check out a book and then walk outside to find some shade and enjoy it right away. It's just perfect. Parking lot is tiny. Be prepared to just park on the street. Luckily there's plenty of street parking so you won't have to look for long.

Located nearby a public park as well. I walked in and the front desk is right next to the entrances. The staff was very observant and would assist people that needed help. There's sections blocked off for teens and kids, so for adults it's a bit harder to find spots if you want to sit. One printer machine and one scanner machine. The architecture of the place is pretty inside and I like the rustic old library feel of the inside, it feels comforting. Lots of flyers of different services and events as well!! I don't mind coming back here in the future for any tasks.
