I was extremely impressed by these four individuals attentiveness of what Jeffrey was instructing them to do. Jeff had initially told me $3800 for my rather large deck plus we needed a wheelchair ramp that I thought to be impossible to build given the space of good solid ground he had to work with up the street. My mom had to have it. Her health isn't good. Jeff explained to me that there could be more added at the end depending on what took place at my mom's home. If it turned taking him the entire 5 days he allotted for my two projects the total would $6100.00 which I thought was a great deal due to the situation at my mom's. Jeff and I decided to knock my Deck out then move to my mom's. These guys were done with my deck in 2 days. But when they finished at my mom's and was packing up to leave after day 3 I was astonished. Especially when Jeffrey came to collect for the job. I paid $3,000 up front like Jeffrey asked. That would have left another $3100. When he told me all I owed was $2,000 I almost cried. Awesome man of God!

Upon moving to Huntsville in December we were met with multiple tornado warnings. After researching different companies and looking at various models, I decided to visit Valley Storm Shelters during lunch one day. I was pleasantly surprised by Mrs. Kelly Alburl's knowledge, professionalism, and fun personality. I decided to go with the 5x8 shelter because the size seemed more appropriate for my family of 5. I was also happy to find out that the locking storage bench and a weather radio would be included free of charge. Factors that contributed to our purchase of this particular type of shelter were: -Shelter has a floor with a free carpet covering -Price included tax and installation -Add on amenities such as the storage bench (free for this purchase) -Size -The locking pins on the door (which is HEAVY) with a bulletproof peephole -The quality in craftsmanship (compared to the ones you see outside of Home Depot or Lowes) -The installation process using special bolts in concrete -A LIFETIME WARRANTY!! It took 10 weeks for installation but the two installers, Mr. Josh Williamson and his partner, were superb. They walked me through every step of the process and provided a tour of the shelter after installation. Mr. Williamson even explained the Alabama Tax Credit process. I've only had the shelter for two days and I have to say that the peace of mind that I have now is worth every penny! After being at home in the April 2011 tornados and the Easter Sunday 2020 tornado in Chattanooga, my wife and I decided it was time to protect ourselves. I reviewed many different companies and the most superior protection I could find was at Valley Storm Shelters in Huntsville Alabama. I reached out to them and received an estimate for a 4' X 6' shelter to be installed in our home. We chose this size to accommodate ourselves and other guest if needed. The wait was a little longer due to Covid issues, but after installation, we couldn't be more pleased and protected. We purchased the 5x8 storm shelter with the expectation that it would be installed within 12-14 weeks. Due to parts and material not being available, as is the case with almost everything these days, it did take a little longer. However install day went off without a hitch. The installers traveled over 5 hours and communicated well with us as to when to expect them on install day. They arrived on time and ready to work. They were very pleasant, efficient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They explained everything in detail that they were going to do and even confirmed that the shelter was put in place exactly where we wanted it. When we purchased our home, we committed to each other that we would purchase a storm shelter. After a couple of less-than-excellent experiences in our search, we found Valley Storm Shelters. We had a wonderful experience in looking at their options and, with some guidance from the salesman, realized we didn't want to have to climb down steps in the midst of a storm as we had planned. We ordered an exterior above-ground shelter and are so very pleased that we did! The salesperson explained the prep we needed and sketched out the concrete pad needed and answered a ton of questions. We are very pleased with our new storm shelter. I spent several hours reviewing specs and publications of several suppliers and decided on a Valley Storm Shelter. The units are built with utmost quality and robustness. The CoreLok anchoring system along with additional Halti anchors finalized my selection. The installers were very professional and made every effort to meet our expectations. The only negative that popped up during the installation was the installers found my concrete to be thicker than allowed for drilling for CoreLok anchors. They had to use all Halti anchors since installing CoreLoc's would present a safety issue during the installation. This issue drove the 4 star rating vs a 5 star. I'm confident processes are available to safely allow concrete prep for concrete thickness greater than 6". read more

I'm terrified of storms. When I was five, my sister and I were caught outside in a tornado. My sister laid on top of me in a ditch. I can still feel the tornado trying to pull me out from under her. Company notified me twice during this time that parts were still on back order. Installers showed up with the unit and installation was perfect. Most professional group of guys you will deal with. Trust is key when you are dealing with something that you as the homeowner cannot possibly inspect yourself - you have to rely on the folks you've hired to do things like a roof because you can't always see what the completed work looks like. Unfortunately, I've lost trust in One Stop Roofing because on multiple occasions I've found issues after they assured me they had either (a) corrected them, or (b) had looked everything over to make sure there were no other issues. Just today I had to repair a damaged gutter guard that they kicked in while on my roof - leaving the gutter wide open during leaf season. Had I not been on my ladder replacing a camera battery, I would have never known. And it would have been obvious to them they did this - it was at the point where they would climb on my roof. Other issues are apparent in the pictures. I hope I can learn to trust in them again since they claim to offer a 10 year labor warranty, but today I'm at a loss for words. The feeling I came away with is they are only going to fix what they think you might catch.

In need of (shingled) roof replacement on our 1978 home that we bought just 9 years ago (getting…read moretoo difficult to convince the home-insurance agents that it's less than 15 years old - absent documentation). We'd had several outfits here for inspections and estimates, most of them wanted us to submit "hail-damage" insurance claims, and then they tried to tell us, "Oh no, that won't raise your premiums at all!" We called BS on each one of them. The "WAG'd" verbal-ONLY estimates that we got were all over the map. Enter HomeSafe, and John May. Phone call "about 15 min. out." Firm handshake, and some get-to-know-you conversation about history on the property and roof. Well prepared to discuss several grades and price-points of shingles, drip-edge, flashing repairs, brick-to-roof transitions, ridge-vent, decking repair, snow-and-ice treatment in the valleys, vent coping, clean-up, et.al. Probably a good 15-20 minutes on the roof, and further discussion about what he observed and documented. Our position: "done right, and with the best materials." Then the BIG question..."how much up-front?" We were surprised. John: "Nothing. We get paid when you're happy with the job." A few days later we had a WRITTEN contract in-hand, and for a VERY reasonable amount (double-digit thousands less than one very prominent local outfit). We went on the schedule for 3-4 weeks out. Dump trailer arrived day prior - parked on concrete - all debris to go directly from the roof to the trailer. Crew showed early AM for two days. Brought tarps to collect stray materials that fell from roof. Clean-up afterwards was pretty good, considering bushes / flowers / pool to work around. Had a couple change-orders (adds) that were easily accommodated. After they were done, I did my own hard look at the work - found a few nit-noids - let John know. Together, we hit the few points on the roof, confirmed the needed tweaks, and folks were back the next day to make the fixes. Money changed hands the next day, and John even brought the wife a new "hummingbird swing" that had inadvertently "disappeared" in the cleanup! We've been in the area almost 9 years, and eight times have had to contract for work that we couldn't do ourselves. HomeSafe is only the second time that: we've felt we'd not been taken advantage of; we've not had to "fight" to get the job done correctly; we've not been displeased with the final result; we'd not had to pay at least 50% up-front. John's card in on our refrigerator - permanently - for other services we might need. Y'all can't go wrong with these guys!

Explained what they would do, the price up front and got to work that day. There was no BS we will put you on a schedule or come back in a week. They got to work immediately, that minute. They figured it out quick, showed what it was and where it was at and fixed it 100% the next day. This had been a problem for a month and I was dreading the repairs. He was confident and matter of fact that he could do everything start to finish and quickly. Thanks to Mark and his team. I highly recommend them. They might not be your first call to a contractor but they'll be your smartest call for sure!

Yonni even advised me on my color choice of paint, which was a real blessing as my original choice would have been a disaster! This was definitely a weight off of our backs! They were the best! He was immediately answering our calls/texts & showing up in person to check progress. David even delivered doors, lights & extras. I cannot praise David & the Mighty Dog team enough for the quality & care of the the craftsmanship done on our home. David made sure to take care of every detail I requested down to small details like new house numbers, kick plates & slide locks on new doors. Of course the team handled special requests like tempered glass security storm doors, new entry doors, new handles & locks. Our 38 year old windows were replaced with modern windows. The craftsman did an excellent drywall job preparing for the crew to put up new trim around inside windows. Turned out great. Old water & termite damage was uncovered when removing original wood siding from 1989. The crew repaired, insulated & wrapped my home & hung new siding. All house trim & facia was replaced on porch. Crew removed damaged railings /columns & rebuilt brand new porch railings, columns. The crews were courteous, professional & extremely hardworking. I was very impressed & happy with the skills & level of workmanship of the crews, the lead, the project managers & (especially David, who happens to be everything rolled into one!) David kept this project rolling on track. He is a great human being to work with & a great new friend to have made. They came out a day late to do the estimate. Then told me I would receive an estimate later that…read moreday. It's been 3 days and still no estimate. I would not trust these people now to do anything to my house. They respond that they were not a day late but they were. They respond that it takes 24 to 48 hours to get an estimate to the client. The representative said by the end of the day or at the latest, first thing in the morning. Its been nearly 72 hours now yet no estimate. If they would have just owned up to mistakes and said they would do better, I would forgive an never write a poor review. Their obstinance tells me they are too arrogant for that. I don't care how cheap the estimates is, I would not trust the work they would do on my house.
