I went in to the Manteca Main Street Branch get a Cashier Check & was charged $5.00. I've been a Wells Fargo Customer for over 35 yrs, they have my home mortgage & numerous accounts, yet they still charge me. The cashier basically told me I need to have $20k in my account to not get charged. I called the 800 Customer Service number & was told I need to deal with that branch. What terrible Customer Service for someone what has been a loyal customer for so ling. I think I need to look somewhere else to bank. It's only $5.00, but if this is how they trat me, what's next. Golden One Credit Union may be my next stop. read more

Was driving through and needed a Wells Fargo quickly! It was a very busy Friday afternoon, but the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I believe it was the manager that checked with everyone in line and made sure that customers were in the right line and got their questions answered. This Well's Fargo is horrible!!! The merchant line specifically- why even have a merchant line if the people in the regular line will always be helped before us! On Saturday, March 25th 2023 at aprox. 11:45 (about 15 minutes before closing) I walked in the branch wanting to discuss an issue with my mortgage. I was a little upset but not terribly. I waited around for a little bit, and then a gentleman, aproximately 5'10", maybe 35 years old, black hair, approached me and asked how he can help. I explained that I have a mortgage with WFB and needed to understand why several of my payments were being held instead of being applied to the mortgage. I've had a mortgage at the branch for many years and needed help. I've also been a customer since 1989. He politely explained that i need to go online and look up the mortgage division as they don't handle that here. I explained that, No, i prefer to talk to a live person as i have been doing for years. I also looked up at the clock and suspected he was just trying to hurry me out the door so they can close up. There was maybe 10 minutes before closing at noon. I was a little stubborn, and a little skeptical (although i later found out he was right). When i didn't immediately head towards the door, he became visibly upset and asked me to leave. Not liking to be pushed this way, i asked him if maybe he could help me instead. He insisted i leave "his branch" and at this point it became an argument. Although no one was shouting, he was making a scene. At one point, he asked an employee watching to "call the cops". The gentleman had a melt down and said i was a racist (maybe because I am an elderly white person and he is Asian? I have no idea why he said that.) He began pointing his finger at me, close to my face, and at one point, i thought he was going to get physical with me. I literally told him to "go ahead, lay your hands on me and see what happens". I think i said this more than once as he was pointing his fingers at my face, and not too far from it. There were cameras all over the place so if he had assaulted me, there would be a video record of it. There's more to it than that. he accused me of being rude to his employees (although he was the only one i spoke with) and he's not going to put up with it. He calmed down some and then told me to look up on my phone the telephone number. I asked him for the phone number, and he again told me to look it up on my phone. I told him i have a flip phone and don't access the internet with it at which he thought this was funny for some reason and then said something like "well, that explains it" (whatever that means). Finally, he told the male employee watching that to go ahead and give me the number. As the gentleman was walking away, he was red in the face and insulting me in front of other customers. Finally, the male employee that had been quietly watching, gave me the telephone number on a piece of paper and i proceeded to leave at this point. read more

I've been coming to this location for months (even opened a safety deposit box). It's Saturday 10/6/18, I'm standing in line as we speak. I've always came in and had one of the bank specialist assist me with accessing my safety deposit box. I thought today would be like no other. I came in and was sitting for about 15 minutes waiting for a personal bank specialist. The lines started to come in and fill up. "Tara Z" came over and told me I can not access my safety deposit box this way any further and I had to go back in and wait in line. If I had known this, I wouldn't have written my name down and would have gotten in line and been done by now. Instead with an attitude and eyes rolling from Tara, I get told what I've doing for months is no longer acceptable. I will withdrawing my belongings and moving my deposit box to a different location. The absolute worst bank I've ever had to deal with! First, when you come in they are nosy and want to chit chat so they could "suggest" all these different things that could help you, in my case... Online banking. I set it up with them and when I left, my account was deactivated. I called the next day and they told me I had to come in. I drove there and when I got there they told me I had to wait on the phone so I could talk to someone else from online banking. They had me on hold over the phone sitting there to let me know I had to wait 10 minutes because they were backed up with calls. I left. That was ridiculous! read more

The ATM card was used fraudulently so the bank was supposed to send another card in the mail. Been waiting more than 2 weeks even though they said it was take 3 days. Went in the bank and they never ordered the card and now was told it will take 10 days. Needs much improvement in every area. read more

This is the nearest Wells Fargo to me. I love this bank especially since I opened my Wells account here. They have 3 ATMs out in the front, none inside. I guess it's a good thing that they have all the ATMs outside since you can come here any time you want to deposit/withdraw money. Given that this is the only Wells in Manteca/Lathrop, there are times when it gets busy so be aware. The parking lot is pretty small and get packed sometimes. You can also park at the parking lot next to Wells where State Farm is. One of the reasons why my mom canceled her Wells account was because of the parking here since it gets packed. Lol. read more

I really don't understand what the bankers do here because I have went in to ask questions regrading my auto loan and they just give you a phone number and then I went in to set up a direct deposite from other bank and they gave me a number for that as well!! They are nice at this bank. I really appreciate that there is no attitude and they believe the customer is always right that's for sure. On the off side I just personally had too many issues with the debit card itself and them charging me when they were not supposed too. It's am okay bank. It gets the job done. My mother is 79 years old and has had a wells fargo account since 1955. yesterday her purse was stolen at a supermarket. She drove to her three banking institutions. The asian gentlemen (used loosley) at Wells was the least helpful of the three banks. No temporary card, rude and complained about just following rules. At least B of A & US Bank were simpathetic & helpful. Due to other encounters at this branch she has been moving most of her business elsewhere. Thank God! She only keeps this account since she has had it since she got married. If your looking for a bank, drive down the street. The tellers and managers talked to me like I was stupid and insisted that I had put money in my purse and forgot about it even though I didn't even have a purse with me. This is a ZERO star review. I have never banked at a place where they make you feel like it's bad to make good money. I get 2 pay roll checks a month. a slary and a commission check. I have been depositing these "pay roll" checks on the same date every monrth for about a year. My commisin check this month was a little larger and they wanted to put a 7 business day hold on it. When I ask for a maanger, the "teller" manager Alejandra came over real smug. she looked at my account and told me last month i only deposited half the amount. I explained to her that was my worst month all year and to go back 12 months. She HAPPILY told me she could only go back 3 months and she would do me a favor and only put a 2 business day hold so from friday till tuesday? When I asked for her manager, she said "I AM the manager" with an attitude. I said YOUR manager. She was extreemly happy to tell me it wasnt possible. Even if there is nothing you can do, ACT like you are tring to help me, don't come accross happy not to help....... If you are a commision paid person who has good commision checks, AVOID wells fargo by all costs. they don't appreciate people with larger checks. read more
