Anyway, I had sold a car last week & wanted to verify the cash, unfortunately there are a lot of scammers. Davien Lopez was assisting me that day. He was knowledgeable on how to spot a counterfeit, help me understand what to look for, and even said if the money machine wasn't able to read the money we'd count it out together. Received something in the mail from Tru Stage auto insurance saying I could save a lot of money.Called and to my surprise it was answered by Liberty Mutual who said they had partnered with Tru Stage to help Golde1 memberssave.It turned out their 6 months quote was double what I am paying for the same coverage.They blamed it on a no fault accident almost 5 years ago.What a rip off.If Tru Stage is not a real company stop sending out the so called savings to Credit 1 members .Shame on you. Absolutely the worst financial institution on the plant. My wife's father passed away four months ago. She has been trying to close the account, get funds from the account since. NOBODY at this place of business is capable of this. She has been in the location in Turlock. They lost or discarded all documentation of the transaction! Like she was never there! After many many times on the phone. Golden One is not willing to close the account and issue a check to her or the Family Trust. She is the sole trustee, executor of the trust and estate. never use this credit union, they go out of their way to make doing business with them impossible. i am the power of attourney for my mothers accounts yet they made me physically come in and give them a copy of the paperwork where all did was take a copy of it, every other financial institution accepted an email or a fax but not these a$#h&^%$, situation number 2 we had to move her location and the move has left her cash light right now, all i requested was a simple deferment of 1 payment on a signiture loan she because of this but once again there stupid, anti consumer rules make it impossible to do this, they rested that i fill our paperwork which had a 25 day processing time when all we needed was one month, heck even during the lockdown we never missed a payment, it always went through and was paid on time, but the one time we need any sort of assist from them they go out of their way not to. i repeat never do business with them they will find a way the screw it up and make doing business impossible now just as a cavoite i have no issue with credit unions i actually prefer them over a bank but use any other but this one, they are terrible for the consumer. read more

I came into the branch just before closing time and needed to get my debit card printed (new account). Everyone working seemed to be more concerned with shutting the lights off and scurrying home as soon as business hours were over. The teller was less than courteous and they almost turned me away because they wanted to shut down and go home early. The manager came over and made a comment to the teller in front of me: "We've already shut that system down." I asked "You're still open for business, aren't you?" Then they just got huffy and puffy and were complete jerks after that. They then placed my card under the window and then the teller came to unlock the door for me. Didn't say a goddamn word. Personally I love golden 1 credit union. My sister got an auto loan from them few years ago and few months ago and I gave them a try. Very easy process and good rates. Customer service was excellent and I received the loan in 2 days. Their tracy branch is very friendly and helpful. Large building and 6 teller windows. Almost always little to no lines. Usually a little wait for a personal banker. There are a lot of parking spots available and there's one atm machine on site. All on all highly recommended. Closing my chase account soon to solely use golden 1 credit union for my everyday purchases and uses. My credit card rate was super low compare to my other credit cards. I was able to get a new auto loan with a low rate as well and for the exact amount that I requested. Truly the worst experience I have ever had. I sold a vehicle to a member and was amazed at how rude they were to myself and wife. We are not members, however were selling a car to a member. They messed up the loan. Lost paper work. Took 2 days to complete the sale. Did not send pay off to my bank. Virginia and Jamika are there to be "the boss" and they take their positions serious. They are rude, attempt to be smarter than everyone, condescending and.... I had to call the call center as the branch is unreachable. The call center had to call 5 times before the phone was answered. The call center was also amazed at how bad this branch has handled this. I applied to Golden one this week to be part of a credit union . I was denied because of " poor credit report" . Well ok I have 2 other bank accounts , I'm not hurt by it, but this is a prejudice financial institution if they are judging people with less than stellar credit . My identity was stolen about a year ago . I notified the federal.trade commission to have it on record for financial institutions to view. Instead of taking the time to view that document , golden one went ahead and pre judged me , because of my 600 credit score, I was able to.ppen another bank account locally , get a cel phone contract , even got a lexus , and this credit union is too.prejuduce to hold my mo ry for me . Terrible customer service I've sent in e mails regarding this prejudice judgment and no one will contact me back. They have the most stupidest ATM machine !!! I went to deposit $210.00 it said i only put in $200 so i cancelled and it only shot back out $200 wheres my $10.00 ?!?!!!! Then i go and put in a different card for my auto loan its just a savings account i tried to deposit $240.00 for my payment and it kept my card said it was reported stolen and gave me the money back. How in the hell is that stolen ?! No pin numbers were wrong because of course i wouldn't even be able to try to withdrawal or deposit anything . Under staffed very slow turtle speed service. Asked teller to deposit money into my checking but instead he deposited it into my savings and I even asked for him to verify and he confirmed that it was deposited into checking and he said that it was when in fact it was deposited into saving , the end result was bounced checks . My wife went back he was rude and said we would get a call back later in the day which didn't happen , the whole thing took 2 days to resolve . We weren't planning on switching credit unions, but after our old credit union established a ridiculous $1,000 per day/$2,500 per month maximum limit when they finally introduced mobile deposits, we made the switch to Golden 1. $5,000 per day mobile deposit with no monthly maximum whatsoever. Now we can easily deposit our paychecks (our employers don't offer direct deposit) without having to find an ATM. As for the Tracy branch, so far, so good.
