Neither Dr. Aziz nor his staff are particularly good at what they do (except for the ultrasound tech - no complaints there). I had what I was pretty certain was a blood clot in my calf and wanted to both confirm this and rule out DVT (or something worse). My regular vascular doc couldn't see me for a couple of weeks but Dr. Aziz was able to get me in the next day - now I know why! An ultrasound confirmed the clot which turned out to be small and not a big deal. Regardless, I have a fairly lengthy medical history which I tried to explain to Dr. Aziz because a few of my conditions are relevant for a blood clot. He could not have cared less. I might as well have been trying to explain the difference between a meme coin & a stable coin! He brusquely told be that he'd be prescribing a blood thinner and he wanted to see me back in a couple of weeks for a follow-up ultrasound. At this point I was glad I had made the appointment with my regular doc even though it was a couple weeks away! After the ultrasound my follow-up appt with Dr. Aziz didn't happen the first time because when I arrived at the office I was informed he was still in surgery and we would have to reschedule. I explained I no longer drive for medical reasons so I just wasted money on a ride share to and from my house needlessly. I also asked when they knew about his schedule changing and why thy didn't reach out by text, phone or email. They had no good answers. I also asked if they could just schedule a zoom appt since all I was doing was reviewing results of a second ultrasound with the doctor. They told me "we aren't ALLOWED to do zoom meetings by insurance since the pandemic." This seems, ummmmm......odd (to be polite), since just about every one of my 10+ other doctors have no problem doing zoom meetings. When I finally did see Dr. Aziz he told me I still had the clot and would need to see a hematologist. When I asked for a recommendation he literally said, " Just go next door. There are about five of them in the building there." I was a bit taken aback , but tried again. "Can you suggest anyone in particular?" "No. They are all good." That was it. I had questions about my medication (how long did I need to stay on it, etc) and a few other things but I was done. I thanked him for his help and left. Never to return. Coda: When I emailed the office to request that my records be sent to my regular vascular doc, I also requested that they reply to the email to let me know that they had done so. This never happened. LOL. And re: the hematologist, my regular doc took out his phone, texted someone and 30 seconds later gave me the name & number of a guy and told me that he would be expecting my call (I got an appointment immediately.) read more

I dont need to bring her to this location only to have to face the same bad treatment that others have experienced. I feel bad for those people who had to go through this. I have had the worst experiences here and I feel that they totally mismanaged my care, which resulted in me developing a serious vascular disease. When I reported this to my insurance and filed a grievance, I was assigned to a different surgeon who was even worse than the first surgeon I had seen there. I felt like he was probably upset about the grievance I I had filed. From the minute he came into the exam room I could sense an attitude. He was very unsympathetic and he basically told me that there was nothing that could be done to treat my condition. He then told me I had already had themm9th treatment/surgery and was very condescending to me. I told him I hadn't ever had any kind of surgery on my legs. Needless to say that I can not recommend this clinic. In fact I would say don't go there if you value your health. read more

I took my daughter to this office for a procedure and waited 2 hours! After an hour we asked what was happening and was told they didn't have a bed available. 30 minutes later I asked again and they said it would be about 30 minutes more because he was doing a procedure on another patient, then after that I'd have to wait for a bed to become free. Out of the three receptionists at the front, not one could let me know what was happening or keep me posted on the status of things. I can understand falling behind and having to wait but no one bothered to keep us informed and just let us wait. Two hours late was very excessive, especially since we had to commute from the Santa Clarita Valley. This review has nothing to do with the doctor, front desk staff needs to be re-trained on customer service to say the least. This is not an isolated incident. I'm reading some of these reviews about waiting for hours to be seen. I have never waited very long to be seen and I have never been to a doctor where they didn't make you wait a little past your appointment anyways. I just had surgery about 5 hours ago. The nurses were super sweet and made me SO comfortable. The doctor is very friendly and just an all around nice guy. I definitely recommend this facility. I won't know if the doctor did a good job or not until I heal but I had a great experience. read more

Dr Wesley Fung is by far the best Vascular Surgeon. I had back surgery performed by Dr Justin Spooler and he botched my surgery. The doctor cut a vein in my abdomen and if it wasn't for Dr Fung I would have bled to death. A 2 hour surgery ended up being a 7 hour surgery. I lost 2 liters of blood caused by Dr Spooler. read more

Dr. Burks is horrible, rude and unprofessional. We went for a follow up visit and he made us wait for an hour ( office was not busy yet doctor Burks hesitated to see us). He spent less than 4 minutes in his visit and walked out on us while we were in the middle of conversation with him. Didn't even examine our patient. Then he criticized his colleagues job and told us we were not his patients . Not only we didn't receive the care and attention we should have, we also felt very discriminated as our patient doesn't speak fluent English and we had to translate for him. 1 star is more than what he deserves for such a rude, unprofessional and negligent physician. read more

Valley Vascular Associates is one of the worst medical facilities that I have ever been to! Besides NEVER seeing their patients at the scheduled time, that they scheduled with their patients , including having patients waiting an hour or two , to finally be seen , or at the last minute , they will say their was a scheduling error, and that you will have to come back another day! And even after multiple surgeries by terrible Healthcare professionals like Dr.Burks and Dr. Fong , not only did they not fix the damage to my arm , and Fistula , but made the problem worst !!! And I have left that terrible , pathetic facility in Van Nuys , for another beautiful facility in Santa Clarita Valley and will never go to that Deathcare Industry dump AGAIN !!!!!!! read more

As I am writing this review, I still remain waiting for more than an hour now to consult with the doctor. This is very ridiculous despite being told to come in 15 minutes earlier. No one seems to care or even ask in regards to my appointment status. I fully understand that last minute emergencies come up and maybe they are running behind, but it is also my time that is being wasted. If I could give them zero stars I would. This place is absolutely horrible! I have been here 3 times and 2 of the 3 times was a nightmare. First time 90 minute wait. Second time only a 30 minute wait but then had to wait another 30 minutes so they could figure out if I had an appointment or not with the doctor after the ultrasound. Then today, I showed up 5 minutes before my appointment and was checked in. 30 minutes later I ask how far behind are they today and the response was they are still trying to figure it out. Then 15 minutes later I get called back up to tell me they had a glitch in their system and will need to reschedule and that it was their fault. It took them 45 minutes to figure out they had a glitch and that I will need to come back at a later date?!?!?!?! With my drive, 2 hours wasted of my morning and taking off from work! My husband is so fortunate to have had vascular surgery performed eight years ago by Dr Aziz and most recently in 2017 by Dr. Fung. They both are dedicated to optimal outcomes for their patients. Both worked diligently in long procedures to relieve serious vascular issues in bypass surgeries. They fully consult with patients in the surgical process to consider options. When doctors of this quality are busy with surgical procedures, the may have to see a number of patients on days they are not operating. We too have had visits with long wait times...but the wait is nothing compared to the results. read more

One star because 0 stars is not a option. I took my mother in for a appointment to have a ultrasound, her appointment was scheduled for 3:00 and we signed in at around 1:45. It's past 3:40 and we are still in the waiting room, Im thinking "ok have they fogotten we exist?" As we approach the receptionist to ask whats on we have been here for 2 hours and the appointment was at 3pm. She says " oh the technician had a family emergency and had to leave" I said " you have known all this time and we are sitting in the waiting room and you couldn't tell us?!" she said " oh well I tried calling the number (mind you, its a cell phone)and nobody answered" at this point I'm even more upset!!! First of all she never called to advise us of the situation, nor did she have the courtesy to tell us while in the waiting room. The reception workers are a joke. This place is so unprofessional it's ridiculous. I've come here multiple times and every single time I wait over an hour after my "appointment" to get seen. The only way I've noticed that they move faster is if I start getting upset and giving them attitude and ask when I'm getting seen, then they'll finally put me in a room and I'll get seen. I don't know if they schedule too many people at the same time or what but they need new receptionist and new management because the people they have now are a joke and they really don't care. They sit there having full on conversations laughing while phones are ringing and people are waiting. My grandma and I felt like he really cared because he was willing to actually spend time listening to why we were there. I think he is the best surgeon in the valley.
