Our family has been at Bridgeway Christian Academy for over 10 years. Our three children have thrived in the loving Christian environment offered at BCA. The academics are top-notch and the athletics and extra-curricular offerings are all that you would get from a larger school, but with more opportunity given the smaller size. You and your children are "known" at BCA and are part of a large, loving family. Our children have made their faith their own and all have strong character traits that we greatly attribute to BCA. Since BCA goes through 8th grade, our oldest child has recently transitioned to a large public high school and is flourishing. This school is the most amazing place! The administrators and teachers all have such a heart for the kids and the Lord. They pour into these kids and equip them to not only exceed academically but also give and serve others with Christ's love. Servant leaders. it seems like the school has taken down google reviews... after several bad ones. I will share a bit about our (horrible) experience here. my son was here for 3 years, and after a challenging year (our family welcoming an unexpected baby among other things) the staff (esp the principle and dean of students) had a personal vendetta against our son. they called for almost monthly meetings to discuss his behavior (which when asked about to teachers, they were shocked to hear) there was such a disconnect with the way the teachers felt about our son and these two people. our son was followed into bathrooms by the dean of students, watched closely at all times and we would get constant behavior notifications and write ups. imagine what this does to a child's confidence, having to check daily to see if he has more behavior slip ups. they basically tried everything in their power to get him out... and on the day of Christmas break this past year, we get an email saying his is no longer allowed back, kicked out on Christmas with no plan b... and we had just had a baby. he had covid in November and missed school and they said he was being kicked out for failing the first term... I spoke to someone on the board and they even were shocked. I spoke to his teachers, and they couldn't believe it, and were so sad about the decision. teachers would personally text me and say how sad they felt for our son, and to reassure him he is a good boy and student and how much he'd be missed. he wasn't even allowed to go empty his locker. I even requested a meeting with the board and the head of school shot it down and said no. our son suffered so much anxiety and heartache from these two people. please do your due diligence!! this is a horrible environment for middle school boys. other boys in the class have had constant write ups and were not allowed to go on the class trip etc. (I'm in contact with several parents still) the way they discpline these boys is so unfair, but they basically do whatever they want and get away with it. they discriminated against our son for so long, and I can't believe they were able to ruin a child's 8th grade year like this. last school year my son and another student had a big life learning lesson... they exchanged heated messages over text (NOT ON SCHOOL PROPERTY) and the principle called a meeting and made our son go into the office alone, without me. to this day I am heartbroken and kicking myself for allowing him alone with that horrible woman (and the dean of students) my poor child had to sit there and read the text messages they printed out, completely humiliated. imagine calling yourself a christian school and doing this to a child. I walked into the office to my 13 year old quietly sobbing, and I will never forget it. I will never forget the car ride home with him telling me how scared he felt sitting alone with them. AN INCIDENT THAT DID NOT TAKE PLACE ON SCHOOL PROPERTY AND THE OTHER MOM BEGGED THE PRINCIPLE TO LET US HANDLE THIS PERSONALLY BETWEEN OUR TWO FAMILIES. our son had over a year of tics, anxiety, and insomnia thanks to these meetings they forced us to attend. even during the summer they made us come in to discuss the event. we were on vacation, and the principle was constantly emailing to schedule meetings. I have written so many reviews on fb homeschool pages and thankfully many have reached out to me, I really hope this helps someone on the fence about this school. the admin is absolutely terrible, the teachers are so wonderful, and to this day I will run into one of them and they will say how much they miss our son and how wrong the admin was... a little validation for us in this nightmare. the last behavior write up came from his science teacher, it said our son laughed during a time they needed to be quiet, this was all the principle needed!! I can imagine how giddy she was... able to get the third write up that term, and to kick him out. that same teacher told a family member of ours recently how much he missed our son, how our son was one of the most eager kids and loved the class, and he loved teaching him. I wish he knew the plan to kick our son out and I know he would not have written that behavior slip. they prevented any teacher from emailing us back too, but I made sure to email and let them all know how cruel they treated him. thankfully it's a small community so I have been able to reach out to so many parents and staff. they robbed him of an 8th grade year, he was forced to homeschool bc no school in our area had space available. truly the worst example of christianity you can expose your child to. read more

Terrible school. Bridgeway might have been a good school but Valor not at all. My grandkid went there at elementary-hybrid. They kept giving the kids loads of repetitive homework worth hours of work with vague instructions. It was more like they were trying to 'get' the kids to fail. Even when my grandchild was doing well, they kept saying they are failing, criticizing their work. The elementary - hybrid teachers seemed they're trying to compete with the parents, to prove they are the teachers, with ridiculous loads of homework, unclear instructions, quick to fail the kids even when they followed their instructions. There is just an air of evil at Valor. I went there once and I felt the goose bumps around the principal and senior staff. My grandkid eventually got kicked out as a "struggling " kid., though they got As and Bs occasionally. The elementary hybrid teacher's word was final, the school leadership just stayed in defense mode regardless, oppressing. Do not waste your money, time and kids at this school. read more

We are in our 4th year at BCA and have truly been blessed by the sweet teachers and nurturing environment.

I have 2 children enrolled at Bridgeway Christian Academy. This is their first year. The class welcomed my 1st grader with cards made by each student. This is just 1 example how warm and welcoming they have been to my children.The teachers have gone above and beyond to help my children with their weaknesses and to find new interest they may have. Its a true village effect going on at this school. I suggest not only go for a tour but let your child shadow for a day. read more

Absolutely love Bridgeway! This is our 15th year at BCA and would not trade it for the world. We have experienced the school from K-3 all the way through 8th with two of our children and still have one in middle school now. The teachers are absolutely amazing and are consistently pouring in to the children. The academics are top-notch and they provide many extracurricular enrichment activities like sports, STEM, chess, drama, etc. The families are equally wonderful. Everyone is so welcoming. All three of our children have attended Bridgeway Christian Academy and we could not be more pleased. The children are well prepared academically, socially and spiritually as they transition to high school. We have watched our children excel in many areas thanks to the investment made in each of them. The teachers go above and beyond to nurture and encourage each child. They come to school knowing they are loved and adored in God's eyes and that He has a wonderful plan for them. We are extremely grateful for the foundation given to our children by BCA.
