I needed a haircut before a vacation and my regular barber was unavailable. I searched and scoured for something other than Great Clips and Big League Barbers. I came across Valor3. It was easy to make an appointment online. I could see the different barbers and read reviews. The place is very nice. You get a coffee or beer with each haircut. You can add on additional service like ear waxing or nose waxing. I just opted for the haircut. Andersson was great. It was a little loud in there and he is a little soft spoken, but he gave me exactly what I wanted. Even got a hot towel, straight razor to the back of my neck, and (without asking) he trimmed my eyebrows, which my girlfriend was ecstatic about. All in all, I was very impressed with this place. It's more expensive than Great Clips, but it should be as you are getting way more for your money. read more

The barber cut part of my hair and beard off without consent: decently sized triangle cut out near my ear, and shaving part of my lower beard off. It's clear he did not know how to handle hair of my length and style (Mid cheek length on one side and shaved short on the other) and made many assumptions about what I wanted. While I understand it seemed he did not speak much english, that is not an excuse for not trying to communicate with me in some way about what I wanted. When I brought up what happened to the person at the front, they brushed me off, claiming he did not ask them what I wanted (but phrasing it as not a big deal). This shop needs to work on employee to employee communication and employee to customer. read more

Last 3 appointments have all been canceled the day of, very frustrating but will say the times they've cut my hair I've been pleased.

Parents, be warned--this is not a safe or welcoming environment for kids. I would never take my child here again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking an appointment. I took my son to this salon for a haircut, appointment with Isaac Smith, and unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. The stylist was extremely rude and impatient. The hairdryer was on, so my child couldn't hear when he was told to tilt his head. Instead of kindly repeating himself, the stylist became visibly angry and forcefully moved my son's head multiple times. It was rough and completely unnecessary. My son was clearly uncomfortable and had tears in his eyes. This stylist has no idea how to work with children and, frankly, his aggressive behavior is concerning--especially considering he's handling sharp tools like scissors and razors. If he loses his temper over something as small as a child not hearing him, I genuinely worry about what could happen in a worse situation. The receptionist acknowledged that there had been previous complaints about this stylist and offered a small discount, but that doesn't change the fact that this was an unacceptable experience. They also promised that management would contact me, but no one ever did. read more

I stopped in for my first real post-quarantine cut. It was time to get a haircut or a dog tag! Since my hair was longer than it had been in at least 20 years, my wife insisted that I graduate from the "Clips" chains. Valor3 was an awesome experience! They offer you a beer or coffee while you wait. I enjoyed a Grapefruit Jungle from Sun King on draft. My appointment was with Thomas Johnson. He was a pleasure to chat with and after telling him my head was basically a blank canvas, Thomas went to work. The only instructions were to keep some of the length on top. He gave me a great cut and even walked me through some of the best ways to fix my hair. I'm used to the no/low maintenance "military look" fade. Valor3 was certainly more than I'm used to paying for a haircut, but I've been told that is part of being an adult :) It only took 42 years, but I'm excited to have discovered a real barber. Have absolutely loved going to Valor and working with Caleb. I saw a review from a lady about being late for an appointment. Myself and son have been coming for months. We have called even when we are 2 minutes late and have been told absolutely no issue as long as we aren't more than 7 minutes past our appointment. Their desk receptionist have been nothing but kind and welcoming every time we are there. As a fellow business owner, policies are in place and clear. This is so everyone gets exception service and not running behind for each client. I can't recommend these guys enough for yourself and your kids. We have recommend everyone go see them for their kids. Their patience with our 1 yr old son has blown us away. They let him hold a comb or whatever it takes to make him feel comfortable. Holy clippers Batman that is probably the beat haircut I've had in 30yrs. Brendon was very friendly, he listened to what i wanted, asked a few follow-ups that i never thought about. I discussed my Cochlear Implant and that once I take it and my HA off Im totally deaf. He for everything he needed to know ahead of time and then just did what he does. Ohhh i totally forgot about the steam towel after all these years. That was a treat and to have him clean up my neck and hairline with a straight razor WOW professional to the perfect ending. Now I want to book a shave :) Ok now on the the extras :). You get a beer or a coffee while you wait. Their Nitro Cold Brew was one of the beast I've had and I've had A LOT of cold brews :). If you want a haircut you have to correct yourself at home, even after going back in because a bunch of scraggly long hairs were leftover on your short cut- then go here. Or if you're a professional and need to look professional but instead want to look like an 8 year old boy whose mom tried to cut your hair at home- go here. Unskilled, horrible haircut for $30. What a joke. Probably doesn't represent everyone here but a business should be consistent in quality. Random tea tree applied to hair without asking with a useless warm towel slapped on your head, then hot air blow dry. Since when is heat good for your scalp/ hair? Second, the surroundings are really cool. There's a leather couch and leather chairs for lounging while you wait and the barber chairs are leather too. I've been bringing my 3 boys in for cuts since they opened, and it is my kids favorite place to go. Sadly, last week I had an appointment for them and we got stuck in the construction on 116th and were running a few minutes behind. As we were pulling in the parking lot I received a text saying that we had been marked as "no shows." Our appointment time was at 2:30 and this was at 2:37. As I sat in front of their business I called in and spoke to the receptionist who was very rude. She said that they have a 7 minute policy for late appointments, and I was now 8 minutes late. I'm totally down with rules, but we are talking one minute, and 3 CHILDRENS cuts that each had a 30 minute block of time scheduled for each and 2 barbers between them. If you haven't had a kids hair cut before, I'll fill you in.......it takes 10-15 minutes max. (sidenote: I waited on them for 30 minutes last time we had an appointment). So, I ask her to check with the barber to see if it was ok for us to still be seen since we were there, and technically 1 minute late, so she puts me on hold and comes back about 4 minutes later and says no......now you are 11 minutes late. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? The entire thing was mind blowing......barbers sitting for an hour without work, and 3 clients permanently gone. If you're going to have a late policy thats as weird and strict as 7 minutes, and your business is in the middle of a construction zone, I highly suggest communicating this when the appointment is made, considering situational flexibility (ie. kids hair cuts that take 2 seconds), and hiring a receptionist with some people skills. read more
