It was easy to schedule and I was looking forward to giving a positive review. The day of the delivery I waited around all morning, about 1pm I get an email canceling the delivery. Didn't even get a call. Now I need to find a new storage solution AND reschedule the work that was supposed to be done next week because I won't be able to have my stuff out in time. Excellent experience with Valtran, from start to finish. We downsized to our cottage on Cape Cod, which we then had to leave empty for renovations while we lived down the street. After checking rates online, Valtran was by far the most reasonable. The office staff was professional, courteous and friendly. The 20' container was delivered on time and squeezed into our spot by the master of delivery guys - he worked very hard and was exceptionally careful of both our property and our neighbors, and he got it into the spot. We had it for four months and then moved back into our house. There was a big storm coming and with only two days notice, they came to pick it up. It was a different guy who picked it up but he was just as careful and expert as the guy who delivered it, and, again, it wasn't a simple pick up or delivery. I needed a container on my property to store nearly my entire house inside of for an undetermined amount of time. Valtran did not have an issue with renting a 20' container with an open-ended return! I called them after talking with other storage companies that charged far more and locked you in for additional fees. The container that was delivered was clean and secure. The driver provided recommendations for storage along with placing those little dehumidifier cups inside. Alas, we had a humid summer and some of the items did get some mildew and warping of furniture veneer. That's no fault of the company or container, strictly due to the ridiculous length of time I had it and not assuming it would have been over the summer. Every person I spoke with was cheerful, helpful, and courteous. I recommend them to everyone and if you need a storage container? Look no further than this company! The price is right, they are professionals, and you will be pleased with your decision. read more

This company is GREAT! I wanted to stick to supporting local businesses on Cape Cod, but b/c of the rudeness of Barb @ Cape Cod Trailer, I went elsewhere, after she told me to, b/c they were unable to bring me a 20' storage container to my new place. Didn't matter that I already was a paying customer with a container w/CCT already. Guess she's just nice till she gets you to do her 3 MO minimum. I had my own business on Cape for 20 yrs & if you want a good reputation, you bend over backwards to satisfy your clients. Which I did. And even after I stopped, people were still calling me years later, b/c they were not able to find someone who did what I did at the same level of satisfaction. It's an unfortunate way of too many people today, especially on Cape Cod. I knew I had the room to put a 20' in the driveway, as it is bigger than the one the other 20' is in. Took almost 2 weeks & 3 calls, to get her to send Mike over & then he came during the storm/blizzard! I'm moving, so under a time line. I don't think he even got out of the truck. Just said he 'couldn't do it'. Would put a 10' down, however. That would have placed it out to the road! Plus, she told me they didn't have any, & had zero idea when she would. Almost a week more when I hadn't heard back. I had to call AGAIN, to see if Mike was there to look. I lost those days, b/c I guess when she doesn't think she can make more $, you're not important. Wanted to talk to Mike, to find out why he couldn't do it, but was told he was unavailable for the next few weeks, so not going to happen. Being they told me he's the only driver, I guess they're not doing any deliveries till sometime in April. Riight.... She got very short & rude with me when I was just trying to get another container. Considering the income I would have been generating for her, I was amazed at her 'attitude'. She ended it with, "If you think you can get a 20' container there, then find someone else to do it! I got to go." Wow. This is how you treat a paying client? Not in my book. So I DID 'find someone else to do it!' I was treated with warmth & professionalism from the first call, by Kelly. Keith came to look at it a few days later, after delivering a container at another spot on Cape. Normally they don't that, but I was so concerned about what Barb from CCT told me, I wanted to make sure I was not putting anyone out. Consideration is not something I lack. Especially with business. Keith was great, couldn't understand why I was told a 20' couldn't be done, & assured me he was capable of doing it w/o an issue. Obviously the CCT driver (Mike) is not as capable, despite many years at it now & being nice enough. Nice, however, doesn't get a job done. Barb assured me he was very capable & if he said it couldn't be done, it couldn't be done! Really??? Don't bother w/Cape Cod Trailer. Cheaper isn't always better, as a rule of thumb. You get what you pay for. I'm very sorry I dealt with them to begin with, as I was also told the container could not be picked up loaded from the house I was leaving & brought to the house I was going to. Again, 'not enough room'. What a CROCK! Keith told me at delivery yesterday, Valtran does it "All the time!" And they would have done mine, too! I am so upset about the extra cost, time, work, energy spent, & work lost, b/c of not being able to move the container from where I was, to where I am, b/c again, I went according to what Barb told me.... OMG! Keith said "As long as everything is secured well, it's fine." I was having the furniture I was concerned over done separately. I told Barb that. This was just storage, boxes & bags for the container, with some extra, that was not a huge deal. Moving is a nightmare, as anyone who has done it after 18 yrs, knows. To have a company make it even harder, is just Poor business practice, all around. I very highly recommend VALTRAN as your 1st & ONLY choice for Storage, moving, whatever they can do for you. THEY DELIVER! Won't waste your time, or money. And save you back breaking extra work, efforts, time & lost sleep. They are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable (obviously), professional, & capable. AND they don't rope you into a Minimum of 3 Mos! They have Plenty of 10' containers, for those who don't want 20'. They don't run out & get more as needed. My 20' container is clean & well maintained by Valtran. I was told how to secure things from moving if need be, given tips on hanging things inside, & offered shelving (not needed tho). I even got the best color that I requested, for long term use here! Can't say enough GOOD, about Valtran! From start to delivery. They aim to please their customers, & DO! Don't let price fool you.
