I called them after talking with other storage companies that charged far more and locked you in for additional fees. The container that was delivered was clean and secure. The driver provided recommendations for storage along with placing those little dehumidifier cups inside. Alas, we had a humid summer and some of the items did get some mildew and warping of furniture veneer. That's no fault of the company or container, strictly due to the ridiculous length of time I had it and not assuming it would have been over the summer. The units are new, climate controlled, spotless, you can come and go as you please. So yesterday my remote wouldn't work when I went to the unit. The power had gone off. I called Cindy, once again using the emergency number, she was out on errands, stopped doing her errands, and immediately showed up, called the electric company, let me in by working the doors as only she knew how, and by the time I left my unit the power was on. I went on-line to U-Haul's website to order boxes because I know their prices are fair and that they'll buy back any boxes you don't use (and you always need more boxes than you think). The website is helpful, and I decided to just trust them and purchase the "1-2 Bedroom Apartment" package which, with MA taxes, ended up just under $200. I indicated I would pick the package up (it's a lot of boxes and other materials) at 1 PM. When I arrived at 1 PM, they had not seen, and therefore not started, the order, and the attendant's eyes grew wide (literally), and he asked, "you ordered all of this?" Yes, yes, I had. He was polite, efficient, and worked diligently to get all the components to the door. It took more than a few minutes, and the store had a bit of a line but he focused exclusively on my order. When it was ready, another gentleman helped me load the materials into the car, and he was also polite and efficient, and he apologized for the delay. So, the two-star rating is because: 1. When you order on-line and select a pick-up time, the expectation is that the order will be ready at that time, not that it will be started at that time. This was like ordering a pizza for pick-up at 1 PM and having the restaurant start making the pizza at 1 PM. 2. They were polite, efficient, and worked diligently to get it done once they realized what needed to be done.
