I spoke with Chris, the man who runs service, and asked him to take a look and let me known what's needed and more importantly what it will cost. When I got the call from Chris he explained what was needed and the probable cost. He also offered several options and their probable cost as well. I told him what I chose and he said he would get started and call me when it's done. When I got the call I went to get the car. It was waiting. Chris told me the price and it turned out to be less than he thought. He also let me know about some other things that will need to be done in the future. When I got in the car it was clean and just the way I left it. If you need service on your vehicle you would be wise to check here. They work is done as promised and the price was reasonable. It's hard to find a reliable and honest mechanic but there is one here

1 star. We purchased…read more2 vehicles from Hamburg Motors, and both ended up having serious issues requiring engine replacement. That alone should have been enough warning. Do not trust anything Terry says. While one of the vehicles was at West Herr Hyundai getting a new engine installed, their technicians informed us that the vehicle also had a broken coil spring and a broken stabilizer link. Terry was told about this and said to just bring him the receipt for the repairs. When we brought Terry the receipt, he suddenly said he didn't know which account David Chaplin wanted it charged to, so we left the receipt with him. When we returned, Terry's entire attitude changed after David decided he would not cover the repairs. The only reason I am giving 1 star instead of 0 is because David did cover the towing cost for the vehicle. My advice to anyone considering buying from Hamburg Motors: take the vehicle immediately to a trusted garage and have it fully inspected by a mechanic you trust. Do not rely on their word alone. Also, NYS will investigate any shop that willfully passes a vehicle inspection improperly for up to 6 months from the date of purchase. Keep your bill of sale, get a written quote for the faulty parts, make sure you get pictures of the damaged parts, and file a VS-35 form with the NYS DMV if needed. This vehicle should never have passed a New York State inspection.

Way more to mention, they ganged up on us and brought 3 other people in the shop to confront us while trying to get our money back. They threatened to give us nothing back and made us fight for 95 percent of the money. We walked away mad and disappointed that these people ripped us off and stole some of our money. They sold a completely unsafe vehicle that was safetied by their friend to a family who has a special needs daughter who was needing a safe reliable vehicle to transport our daughter around to appointments and lied to our face and when we tried to return it they confronted us like we were about to get into a physical altercation and they kept some of our money. Worst buying experience of our life. They spray painted some damage areas of the vehicle and told us it was 900$ of body work they undercoated the vehicle so you couldn't see how rotten it was and put new breaks on it and called it safe. Also came with no working radio and tons of electrical issues. Save your money and run far away from these crooks!

My son had to delay an oil change for 3 weeks due to lack of money as the repairs were constant and most was not covered by the warranty...Go figure. Brought the vehicle in for repair as it was overheating. Changed 4 spark plugs for $316.40. Needed muffler replacement, stabilizer links and oil change which my son declined due to way too many repair bills. We were told the vehicle was returned from the repair shop by Certified only to find it was still at the garage where they get their work done. Arriving there they told us the vehicle had already been sent back to Certified. Half way back to Certified my Son asked me to pull over and called to say...where is my vehicle. Oh sorry it is at the repair garage. Unbelievable. So unprofessional. 4 days later car brought back to certified due to overheating. Said they flushed engine and changed oil and filter. charged another 262.02. Took to new mechanic and the refrigerant which is the flushing, was brown and filthy. Was told the motor was shot due to lack of maintenance and before they even found out the problem they tried to sell my son another vehicle while he still owed $10,000 which he would be responsible to pay off. I was so disgusted with them. And...because his car was so unreliable he lost his job and on the second trip to the Certified, I had a head on collision. I would never buy from them or recommend them. Talk about a scam. He told us that due to the crappy engine in a Hyundai you would ruin the motor if you were even a week past your oil change. So why did they sell it if they already new. Don't be fooled by the nice smile and the lies about the garbage they sell. Excuse the fact that this review is a little bit scattered but it has been extremely frustrating. Our new mechanic charged $2100.00 which included a set of used tires and said the vehicle was in excellent running condition and he would not have to get rid of it. NO THANKS TO CERTIFIED AUTO on Merritt St in St Catharines. Shame on Matt the scammer Brandy M
