Needed to find a go to mechanic in Buffalo for my daughter. Her car had one major issue and one relatively small one but that one had some slight safety implications . My strategy for finding any new third party is to read the reviews and try and synthesize the truth, speak to a decision maker and assess and finally ask for some quotes for the parts and labor. I spoke to four shops and of course everyone needs to see the job before finally committing and that scope can obviously change. Sam freely and patiently gave me some quotes for both (others couldn't get past - we need to see it), the quotes and the final pricing were both very fair and competitive. Had my car for 2 days and didn't fix it. But charged me $220 for a smoke test, and driving my car around for two hours. No communication. Left his sweater and deodorant in my car then proceeded to call my phone so much I had to block his number. Weird interaction and bad service. read more

Anywhere from may to June of 2022 I took my Chevy cobalt to get the back right break done and on the 4th of July the car swerved to the left and then to the right then it totaled on the expressway going towards west of the 33. I was so amazed with the service I got. Especially from Sam who was soooo personable. Okay so it all started with me opening a project here on yelp. My car was making noise and I just searched car service and I typed all the things that I needed and suspected was happening with my car. They answered and quickly got me in on Saturday morning. I am glad they did because by the morning the noise got worse. Come to find out it is was both the driver and passenger side wheel bearing. I am glad they got me in and were able to fix it. Late model vehicle in good shape but with an exhaust problem that the chain repair places wouldn't even look at because it wasn't a simple oil change-tire rotation-fake inspection, and the dealership just kept returning the car with even more problems each time it went in since I wasn't going to buy from them again. Found Royal online, stopped in, and within 4 hours my exhaust problem was fixed without replacing the entire exhaust system, a dangerously broken gas tank strap pair was replaced, and after realizing the oil was a little low due to engine ticking, even topped off the oil. Originally brought my car to delta sonic to have the ac recharged, turned out needing a new ac compressor and they were going to charge me an exorbitant amount to have it replaced. Found this place on yelp on a Friday evening, they responded relatively quickly and were able to get me in Saturday to have it looked at. They ordered the part Monday. Got it in Tuesday and had it fixed by end of day. Priced very reasonably. Very grateful for all the time and work that was put into helping fix the car as I was in a pinch to have working AC before a 7 hour drive downstate during late June.
