Buy it new for $8.99 or pay $9.99 at Value Village?!?

I don't know if this place is as well picked over but I never seem to find anything here. I struggle to find an app to use my $2 off five dollar purchase coupon. The staff seems happy and I love hearing them chat and joke with each other. Prices are all over the place. A lot of things are priced higher than They should be

$3.99 for a shirt that was on clearance for $1.00

I don't know what happened to this store. You used to be able to come and shop for reasonable prices. Now they just seem money hungry. Items that used to be part of a set are now priced separately and at a much higher price than they are worth. Whoever is in charge the pricing on the items in the store seems to need some training on what items are really worth. Most of the toys in the toy section are not only very over priced, but they are usually broken as well. Do you want an RC car? That will be 9.99, and if you want the controller to go with it, that will be another 3.99 or more. Multiple times just walking through the store have the original price tags on it that are lower than what Value Village has it priced at. I've even seen value village tags covering lower prices with higher ones. Just because a bowl is marked Pyrex, it doesn't mean it is worth 8.99 especially when the bowl is so far damaged it can't be restored. I'm starting to see items sitting on the shelf for months at a time due to the ridiculous pricing that they have been doing lately.

I think this store needs new pricers! Is this a joke? A single baby shirt for $4.49? It's used and not made by Baby Gap. Gheesh.

Clothes are over priced. It's a thrift store for heaven's sake. I can buy stuff new for less money.

I like this store better than the nearby Goodwill because the women's clothes are so well sorted by category.

It is pretty well stocked but part of the reason for this is that they are overcharging for their clothes. The other store is better for what ever that is worth. Have fun digging!

Mad cow here--sick of the bull. For more than ten years,…read moreI've donated to the Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store in Spokane Valley. I supported it because it claimed to be a Christian mission--one rooted in service, generosity, and care for people. Unfortunately, over the years, the quality of the experience has steadily declined. The service has gotten worse. The pricing has crept higher and higher, to the point where it no longer feels like a thrift store at all. I paw the ground every time I see items priced above what I can find at non-religious thrift stores across town. What finally sent this bull charging, though, is that customers are no longer allowed to use the restrooms. That's right. I can walk into Goodwill or other secular thrift stores, get better service, fairer prices, and still be treated with basic dignity--including access to a restroom. This is what really bothers me. This is supposed to be a Christian thrift store. Yet it delivers a worse experience than stores that make no claim of faith or ministry. After more than a decade of donating and shopping here, we've made the decision to stop. No more donations. No more shopping. We'll take our goods--and our hooves--elsewhere. A Christian mission should lead in kindness, fairness, and respect. Right now, this one is falling behind. And this mad bull is done with the bull.

With that said, the workers are very nice & friendly. My reason to keep going? Sunday. They make a new color tag 50% off. I'm there like white on rice on Sundays! That's when you get some great deals! I love looking through their books. That's where they shine. I've found some excellent coffee table books for $2.00! It's worth a trip there when they get this week's tag down to 75% off. Once in a while, I get a sweet deal. Take a good look. You might find something fun.

Why would you tell the customer that you decided to raise the price of the item you are buying? They used to sell Tupperware at a decent price but now they seem to think that Tupperware is extremely rare. If you see the older man with the cart full of stuff during the day, I would not suggest looking through the card while he is stocking. He becomes very rude if you do that.

$1.99 each for these dirty cups. Just because it's Tupperware. These were also stacked to appear as a set, but they are $1.99 each!
