I came to this location for the first time for an oil change and boy was I impressed. The ease of pulling in and sitting in your car when the team works on it is super convenient. Had a 10AM appointment for a scheduled inspection. Pulled up at 10:02 and was told to drive up to the inspection bay at which it's now 10:04. The guy comes up and says his manager won't do the inspection because I'm 5 minutes late and they'll need to reschedule. Bad first impression. Got an oil change and tire rotation close to closing and was extremely happy with the service I received. Things took longer than expected and an assistant manager (Jean) stayed an hour after closing, bringing a tire over to Mavis for us, so we could have everything taken care of in one shot. Never have I come for an oil change and left in a better mood than I came in. Extremely efficient and thorough team. Yesterday, September 19, 2024 around 11:00 a.m. 12:00 noon. I went to the Valvoline location at 1702 sunrise highway, Copiague, NY 11726 631-225-4645. So I could get an oil change, and my inspection done. The guy I spoke to I believe his name is Danny. But I'm not sure of his name. But he told me in order for him to do my inspection I would have to remove everything out of my Chrysler Pacifica. That he would have to check all of the seat belts to make sure they work. Mind you I had some boxes files, and a exercise machine. in the back of my Chrysler Pacifica. I was never told I had to move everything out of my vehicle. In the past 2.5 years I've had 2 inspections done on my Chrysler Pacifica. I'm not able to remove the item at this time. Due to a disability of a severe back injury. He was willing to do the oil change, and have me come back to do the inspection. I didn't except and that I needed to get both. Done while I'm physically able to get it done. Needles, to say I was able to get it done at Mavis Tire. I was told don't worry about what's in the back of my van. Which I appreciated! You never know what one is going through or dealing with. So I go here for an oil change, tire rotation, NYS inspection and an air filter. Tom tells me their inspection Machine is down and he will find me another location to get all my services done. You come here because it's fast and, now I'm finding out, that the employees, from the assistant manager down, are just great people. Respectful, kind and accommodating. This is my second time here and I will continue to come here. They check your car out from the air in your tires to the wipers to the lights. I am also getting a tire rotation done and even though they don't normally do a cross rotation, they are doing it for me. Anytime I need any of the services that they do, I will be sure to come here. I'm pretty sure this place is under new management and possibly operating under a new name within the past year. I was overdue for an inspection and drove over here for one. I was told 20 minutes until I could be seen so I waited. The manager, Andy, continued to provide updates on what he was doing and how much longer. Normally, you just sit in a waiting room and wonder what they're doing and how much longer but not at this location. Mechanics and car places in general have a bad name but with the new people, they actually seem honest. After telling the manager what I had to go through with my local Fire Stone and their lack of customer service, Andy even went the extra mile and gave me his business card and told me to call him so that he could squeeze me in for servicing in the future.
