After pacing between my car and the inspector (who was busy chain smoking), I was told by the human iteration of a greenbean that the inspector was leaving in two hours and didn't have time to inspect my car. The overwhelming masses waiting for an inspection (there was NO ONE there, for an oil change or otherwise) - were obviously taking up too much of his valuable Marlboro Man time. The reason I was given for the inspector's inability to inspect was he, the chain smoking Jiffy Lube State Inspector, did not feel he could complete any repairs in the two hours he had before peacing out for the day. Uh... what? I concede, I, a lowly teacher, do not know the in's and out's of inspecting cars - especially those that have recently been tuned-up and given a clean bill of car health, but sure. I'll stay in my lane. I was told by Mr. Greenbean that if I came back at 8am on Saturday, I would be the first in line and the Marlboro Man would inspect my car. Great. Fast forward to 7:55am on Saturday: I am greeted by a different employee who asks what I want. I explain I'm here at 7:55am on Saturday AM per the instructions of his Greenbean co-worker and salty state inspector. I was assured I would be *first* in line for an inspection. This new employee informs me with a chuckle that "ha ha, the inspector doesn't work on Saturdays! Who told you to come in on the weekend, they should have known better." That mother**+*** Greenbean. I now know why this place has terrible customer reviews. Zero stars.

While not the typical place I go to, I had used this shop a few years prior to get new tires put on. I called ahead that my car was being towed to the shop and would like a diagnostics check. They replaced my battery to be able to do the diagnostics, which I approved. Once the diagnostics came back, it confirmed the bad alternator, and a few other things. I declined any further work on the vehicle and had it towed by my Dad out of the shop on 5/23 until I decided what work I wanted done on it. I was out of town for work but was able to inspect my car on 5/25 w hen I returned. Upon looking at my car, I noticed that my battery cover was missing but the new battery, put in by the shop, was there. I called the shop and got through to speaking to someone on 5/27 to ask about my battery cover being missing. They let me know they would go check for it and call me back in a few minutes. They never called back so I called the next day on 5/28. The customer service agent told me they were busy with another customer and that someone would call me back within the hour. It's now 5/29 and no one has called me back and it's looking like they lost and/or choosing to not rectify their mistake. I didn't expect them to reinstall the cover, even though it was their mistake. I just wanted it back and would install it myself. I would avoid going here simply for the fact that them choosing to not return calls or even be honest about the situation (Ex. "We lost your battery cover" or "We forgot to reinstall your battery cover").

On top of the despicable overcharge, the people were downright ignorant. Avoid these scumbags at all cost. There is a reason the garage bays were empty. I have already disputed the charge on my CC. I took a chance and I called Meineke. I spoke with a lovely man named Tony. He told me to bring it over and they would do it for free. When I arrived, Tony was there, and he sent out Shane and Dylan to help. Within 10 minutes they finished and I was on my way. Thank you, Meineke. I realize I purchased my wipers online and charging wasn't out of the question but doing it to help me for free was wonderful. This was over and above. Very appreciated. We took our car in for inspection. They told my husband that the rear brake caliper was seized and…read morethey recommended a new caliper. The brakes were working just fine for us so we declined the service. We took the rear tire off and discovered that the issue wasn't the entire caliper, it was the E-Brake cable bracket. A little PB blaster and WD-40 fixed it right up. They wanted to charge us $600+ for something that was fixed for $8. Overall, they LOOK for something to charge you for in order to pass inspection. Only go here if you want to be scammed. Edit in response to business response: The brake cable connects to a bracket on the outside of the caliper (picture included). This bracket is attached to a physical cable in order separate this actuation method from the brake pedal which works via hydraulic actuation. When we received the vehicle, the brake cable was unattached so I think that's what you mean by "much better condition". The bracket was also stuck in the open position. Therefore it was not engaging the caliper in order to compress the brake pads against the rotor. This was verified by viewing the caliper actuation when the brake pedal was pressed. So I disagree strongly that it was stuck in the on position for the entirety of the inspection. In fact, in the pictures sent to me, you can clearly see it's in the open position. It was obvious to me that the caliper was in working order and the problem lie elsewhere. The jiggling handle went away after I re-attached the brake cable. So I guess I should thank you for diagnosing it, but not for trying to sell me a replacement when all it needed was a repair. I agree it wouldn't and shouldn't pass inspection before some penetrating oil was sprayed on the bracket. I'd also like to add that the person who explained the problem to me barely knew anything about the issue when questioned on specifics. All I got was "it's seized". This was another indicator that there was a severe gap in knowledge for some of your technicians and I needed to scrutinize the result. I am a car enthusiast, engineer, and have rebuilt the front end on my Cooper. I know what I'm talking about.
