They seemed happy to help, which was awesome to see, opposed to the 'not so nice' demeanor of most auto shop workers elsewhere. This was such an incredibly simple and quick experience, that I am sure to stick with Valvoline, and this location in particular. These folks operate very smoothly and have a great rhythm for each service. I truly was there for less than 15 minutes and they even checked a few things besides just changing the oil. Wrong type of oil permanently damaged our engine. My car takes 5W30 full synthetic oil. The guys at this location put a synthetic blend on into the car, causing a permanent oil consumption issue according to our trusted mechanic who has been in service for over 20 years. My car has taken full synthetic it's entire life, and the carelessness of the workers here has probably significantly reduced the life span of this engine. Avoid that place at all cost. will upsell you things that you don't need. Went in for an oil change, but instead I got my oil and my transmission fluid changed. I should have said no to transmission fluid change. I'm mechanically challenge i know nothing about cars. The guy gave me a transmission scare. Paid a little over $200. Now my car is lit up like a christmas tree. I got My engine light on, my steering light on and traction light on. Went back in to address the situation, but instead he found out the previous valvoline guy had over filled my engine oil. So he had to re-do it again. still it wasn't working so tried to refer me to someplace else and have me pay more for something that was caused by them. It's easier to come to one of these places instead of having to go to a place you have to get out of your car and wait. Pulled up and had no wait whatsoever. Started my transaction with one employee who was nice and very helpful. Guiding me through each step of the process. With my hood open I have nothing else to do but watch them do their job. I watch through the opening in my hood and on the monitor for the guy under the car. What irked me a bit was that halfway through they switched who was leading point on me. I was confused. Why have someone else come in and restate everything the first guy had said. The first guy understood that I only wanted an oil change and nothing else and I would be on my way. I really wanted to just close my window, but with them taking my key I had no choice but to listen to everything a second time. Short and to the point: my wife and I were vacationing in Pittsburgh when (per Murphy's Law) one of our headlights burned out. So we made a pseudo-emergency visit to this Valvoline before driving back to Michigan to stay safe -- and avoid getting ticketed. The crew (and the specific mechanic who helped us) at this Valvoline went above and beyond, repairing our vehicle outside rather than asking us to wait behind the other cars who were getting oil changes. Watching the staff here interact was kind of fascinating too. Every now and then you visit a business where the employees are all in sync, with everyone gelling. That's this place. They are efficient, helping each other out, and clearly know what they're doing. I normally attribute this to great management that knows how to hire and how to motivate. Valvoline never disappoints me. I cannot say how important it is for women-customers to be treated with respect and dignity when at an auto shop. The sexism I've experienced at other auto places has made me SO anxious to get my car serviced. But Valvoline always has women working, which alleviates my nervs and makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Today, I was helped by two really nice folks who made me feel comfortable and safe. They got me in and out within 15 minutes and didn't bother me about any additional services. I was visiting from out of state and stopped in for an oil change during some down time. The technician let me know that the oil plug was damaged during the process, but that they had replacements in stock and they'd swap out the broken one. When I return home to NC, I began noticing stains on the driveway. Every time I get my oil changed here it's super fast. The employees are friendly and everyone keeps their masks on. They are very thorough & always let you know what other things to look out for if they notice your filter needs changed, lights work, the check the windshield wipers to make sure they're in good condition. I am a huge fan of Valvoline as a company, and this Valvoline location did not disappoint. I came in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon. I had to wait about 10 minutes to get into the bay, which was not bad. Once in, Aaron and Nate started the process. They recommended a tire rotation (which was necessary, given my two back tires were my newest tires), but did not make me feel pressured to pursue any other services. I work downtown, and my car has been nagging me for about a week about needing an oil change. My evenings and weekends have been booked lately, so I decided to take advantage of my lunch hour and take a ride out to this place, the closest to town. I only waited for about five minutes before pulling in, and service was quick. The technician working on my car was relatively new to the shop but clearly experienced in doing the job, and they had two more senior employees working along with him to bring him up to speed on shop processes and the business end, so I never worried about anything being overlooked or me being charged incorrectly. In fact, when I mentioned I had a $10 coupon saved to my phone, one of the senior employees was able to put it right into the system without even looking at my code. I got a prompt email follow-up thanking me for my business and providing me with additional service recommendations based on my vehicle, although I never felt any hard sell while at the shop, not even for the air filter. Great experience having my oil changed at this location. There was practically no waiting. They guided me in , let me stay in the car. and did not insist on me using a synthetic oil. They looked at other car parts and didn't try to sell me things , I did not need. Jalen, I believe was his name, was particularly helpful. If you haven't been to one of these, here's the scoop. They will try to upsell you on everything, telling you that "X" is recommended, even when it most definitely is not, and in fact could even be damaging. For example, they told me my car was recommended for a tire rotation. My car's manual specifically states to not rotate, as the tires are no the same. Just get an oil change, and that's it. On the plus side, they're really fast. Last time I stopped in to Subway for a 12", figuring I would have time to eat it in the car during the oil change. I only got 1/2 of it finished, and I'm not exactly a slow eater. Lastly, always look online for a coupon. You can use your phone to Google a coupon good for $5-$7 off. read more

$130 to change your oil 45 minutes and I don't think anyone there even know how to do it. They were suppose to change headlight but didn't they didn't know how and didn't even replace screws holding headlight. I made appointment at my mechanic to have it redone. Went here to get my oil changed and told them I wanted the cheapest oil change, preferably around $20. They told me they could only do a $90 oil change based off the type of car I have, so I let them do it. I have been to three other places since to get my oil changed that all have only charged me around $30. It's a RIP OFF, don't waste your money. read more

Waited an hour or even more to get transmission oil change but after all they couldn't do it . furthermore, when i was driving my car back home it engine started heating up, and coolant started leaking, it was because they untied coolant hose and forgot to tie it up. These guys have always done a great job for me. When you're there you can tell it's a well managed, trained, and organized team. I was alerted that I had cracks on my 2003 toyota tacoma last time I went and had them change them out. I'm sure I could have saved a few bucks doing it myself, but time is valuable too. Another thing I like is that they actually checked all the fluid levels in the vehicle, and refilled the ones that were needed. I don't think it happens often that places check the power steering reservoir, as well as window wash fluid and brake fluid. Service today wasn't as good as I have had with previous appointments at this location. The crew that waited on me seemed very disjointed in that one person wasn't aware of what I had discussed with the person that checked me in. She did not inform me as to the price of the services to be performed, in this case an oil change. One guy wanted to waved me out of the garage bay before my service was finished as I hadn't even paid yet. Finally, they were not able to reset my check engine light as their scanner was broken. This place is terrible ... I went here for an oil change about a week ago. Been there maybe 5-6 time this year. On this occasion I felt rushed they didn't check my lights or tire pressure. And because there was a car behind me they were trying to just get done and finish quickly ... which is ok. So they finish up give me my keys back and tell me to leave the service is done !!! I leave and go about my day. About 8 o'clock that night I get a phone call from the police saying I left with out paying and I need to go handle this matter. I explain to the cop that you can not leave valvoline with out them letting you leave and it was there mistake as not mine ..They must of forgotten to charge me but it wasn't my fault !!! Why wouldn't this manger call me first since it has all my information instead of calling the police like I was a criminal!!! I tried to call there customer service for the next 5 days which the area manager was suppose to call me back which still has yet to happen. The manger from the store called me and continued to tell me it was my fault. This company had all my info from previous visits calling the police was not needed. If I was you I would never ever go to this place just stick with JIFFY LUBE .... read more
