I had an appointment on Saturday at 8a. The tech calls me to ask if we can reschedule for Sunday at 9a, and I agree. I arrive 10 minutes early: lights off and store locked. An employee arrives at 8:55a and opens the door at 9:02a. He finds my appointment in the computer, so I said I'll wait here. He said "we only take drop offs on Sunday." I said "I'm the only one here, it won't take long huh?" He said I have 2 other 9a appointments, and my tech isn't here yet." So instead of moving me to the head of the line (because I'm the only one here), and finding out when the tech is due to arrive to give me an eta, we just reschedule my appointment to noon. Overall customer service: -D It's just an oil change/tire rotation. That's a 30 minute service, that we can't make happen. Stay away. read more

Definitely pleased with this Firestone location, brought my car for an oil change and they had a spot on the exact day I wanted, only a couple days after booking. They get their work done in decent time and their prices aren't bad for standard work. I had a nearby competitor to this store charge me a large sum for a simple oil change, my oil change here was much more affordable. They did forget to give me an oil change sticker which is inconvenient (not really a problem I usually neglect to look at them anyways) so I just ended up noting it in my phone. A while back as well I had a noise in my engine that sounded odd and nobody else had time but they said they'd take a look here just to get a second opinion. They took it for a test run and checked it out, mentioned what they heard and provided recommendation. Will definitely return. read more

Walk into their waiting room and I definitely waited about 10-15 minutes before I decided to leave. No one acknowledged that I was even there and I know they saw me. I just thought they had a quick meeting but that wasn't the case. They only had one customer in there actually waiting on their vehicle. I don't recommend this location to anyone that's why they have "now hiring" signs everywhere. I rather go to valvoline for simple oil change! read more

Things started out okay with Firestone on University Blvd. Then I took my car in to get it road ready for a trip. I started out and my low tire light came on. Turned out all four tires were underinflated. My sister took her car in to have brakes replaced. Had to have it towed back to them because something was not tightened properly in one wheel and the car made loud clanking noises and was not safe to drive. I took it in recently for an oil change and to have new front wiper blades installed. Had to turn around because they neglected to put the oil change sticker on the windshield. A few days later, I used the wipers and the driver's side blade flew completely off the car. I'm done here. I cannot trust their work. read more

Believe the reviews. Shady at best. I should have checked Yelp before I brought my car there. They failed my state inspection for marker lights that they could not show me where they were located or prove that they even existed. He said that he thinks my car has them. Shouldn't they be 100% sure that they exist before they fail the vehicle for inspection??? Wanted $15 each to replace them??? For something that may or may not have existed??? I'm afraid for anyone who who goes here. I took my car in the other day and made it seem as though there was a number of things wrong with my engine and that a lot needed to be replaced. It was going to cost over $700 according to their estimate. I sent it to another place and they told me that Firestone unplugged something in my engine and had misled me about certain things they claimed weren't working. The other place is only charging $100 just to replace some ignition coil. Very dishonest. Don't go here. read more

I went here today because my check engine light was on/off all last week and since I use my personal vehicle for work, I wanted to get it checked out. I had previously had an idea of what it could be from taking my vehicle to Autozone for an initial diagnosis. The service manager Steve was very nice and the mechanic Nick was extremely helpful. They were definitely busy but Nick took his time to really diagnose the problem and then he even came to get me and show and explain what he did in terms I could understand and took the time to answer my questions. I didn't feel like he was talking down to me as I have felt at other Firestone locations. I would highly recommend this location!! read more

Hey guys, I just want to tell you that with so many people trying to rip someone off who doesn't know enough about their car, the ones who tell the customer there's a grand of work that needs done and it doesn't, and the other ones who give everyone a bad name. I think it's ridiculous that you guys are doing the same. I actually have no other way of saying it besides that you guys suck. I really hoped that with most people who were talking about how bad this place was, maybe it was a fluke or some other excuse. Nope, you tried to rip me off. Ensuring that I would never go back to your company again. And I do understand my money is not solely what's keeping this business going. But trying to get me for a lot more than what it should have been? You'd rather lose out on any money from me than to actually fix what's really wrong with it and maybe not make AS much money. But in the end you'd have returning business. I really hope that this saves someone else the time that I wasted on this place. read more

My serpentine belt happened to break next to the garage two days before Christmas. Knowing it would be a bit more to have this garage replace it, I was willing to pay so I could have my car. They gave me the estimate...geez. Next, they wanted to check the pulley wheels to see if any of them had seized up causing the belt to break...okay, understandable. It was one of the tension pulley. My issue is they wanted to replace the pulley assembly for quite the escalated price stating that there were wires and and such to deal with. Yeah....no. Needless to say, I had my car towed to my garage, and waited the extra couple of days for them to get it in, I paid less than half of what Firestone wanted and they only fixed what needed to be fixed. Fortunately, I had four brothers that I paid attention to when they worked on their vehicles growing up. The fact of the matter is that I hate these type of garages that try to take advantage and gouge people, especially trying to fix something that isn't broken. read more

I visited Firestone on 6/24/17. I needed to buy 2 tires. I thought I might need 4. Will took care of me. I am elderly and a female and he could have taken advantage and sell me 4 tires, but after my car was checked he assured me I only needed 2 tires. I was in and out in 48 minutes. Will took time to go over my car courtesy check and explained every thing to me. He was both patient and professional. I will recommend Firestone Complete Auto Care to my friends. read more

Took the car in the first time because of a coolant leak and everything g was good about a month before the coolant started to leak again so we took it back to get fixed again but this time to fix the leak they needed to remove the timing belt and because of the mileage on the car it was recorded e rd to replace the belt which made since but wasn't happy we had to pay to get it fixed for a second time. 3 weeks after the timing belt was replaced it slipped off while my girlfriend d was driving down I79 leaving her stranded on the side of the road, with possible engine damage. Not impressed. We have dealt well with the Firestone shop on Banksville road for years but recently moved to Moon and expected the same service. The gut I dealt with here was awful. I came to buy inexpensive tires for a car that will not last much longer and even after explaining that, this guy tried to sell me top of the line, then I had to keep reiterating through 5 or 6 sets of slightly declining cost until I gave up and started to walk out. Then I finally got what I needed. They ended up talking my son into some extras that I don't know were necessary. All that while being rude and slow. May be bad enough to turn me from Firestone completely. read more

I went in to have my cam shaft sensor replaced. Over the phone they said they had the part and could fix it. When I picked my car up, the light came right back on. I had it reread and it told me the cam shaft sensor, again. I took right back and the guy got an attitude with me. I even asked if there was a possibility if there were 2 sensors. He said he didn't know and did not look it up. He then tried to tell me to do a diagnostic check for another $100. I took it to my local machanic and he said it was the original sensor that came with the car. He changed it and now my car runs fine. They never changed the sensor but still charged me! I took my Chevy Trail Blazer here to see why my car was making a grinding noise. The only piece of truth they gave me was that the wheel hub on the front driver's side was bad. They tried to pass off on me that my break lines where leaking fluid and my right hand drive shaft was bad. I knew this was total BS. I had driven my car from Altoona, Pa to Pittsburgh, Pa just the day before and I had wonderful, brand new, breaks. Secondly, the drive shaft on the right hand side wouldn't have any effect on my driving unless I shifted into four-wheel drive and the drive shaft was just replaced prior to me buying the car. When my mechanic came out to pick it up he replaced the wheel hub and informed me that someone had cut my break lines. Only conclusion would be that it would had to be Firestone because that was the only place my car had been since I had bought it. Never go to them. They will tell you that you need thousands of dollars in repairs on your vehicle even though you know half of it has just been replaced and they will try and kill you by cutting your break lines. NEVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR VEHICHLE! read more

I went in here a few times despite the reviews as it is convenient for me. They did okay the first several times and they even followed up to confirm something about the work that was done. But the last time I took the car in here for a new tire and alignment, they called me to inform me that I needed a new left inner tie rod. The tech even tried the scare tactic that this is dangerous and would not pass inspection if it were up. I do my own work most of the time and I'd recently just done a new suspension all around and replaced the outer tie rods as they were shot. The inner tie rods checked out then and I'd felt nothing in the ride to suspect a bad inner tie rod, although I knew I had a bad intermediate steering shaft that I hadn't yet gotten around to replacing. So I declined on the alignment and tie rod as they wanted $180 for just the inner tie rod to do something that would have taken me an hour and I'd prefer to do both anyways. Well, I ordered the parts and rented the inner tie rod removal set from a local parts store only to discover that my left inner tie rod was rock solid and steady freddy. I knew right then and there that they'd tried to sell me a bill of goods. Either that or the mechanic had confused a faulty intermediate steering shaft (chattering) for a bad inner tie rod. I'm not sure which would be worse: lying or gross incompetence. I took my car to the competitor immediately up the boulevard from them and they did the alignment and confirmed that the inner tie rods were in perfect shape. I won't be back.
