5/23/26. Time for the Oil Change. While I was there, they check the various other systems. The air-conditioning wasn't as strong as usual. It's been a few years since it was serviced, at least. There are some DIY projects that I wouldn't hesitate to do. However, doing the AC on the car is not one of them. I'll let the experts at Valvoline do that. It's worth the money. It's a relief to know you don't have to watch them, to see if what they're doing is done. Whatever it is, it's done right the first time! The staff is always professional and courteous. read more

I was driving on Route 9 and heard a worrisome noise in my car. I drove into Valvoline and Jesse and Chris looked at my car, checked my AC filter for obstructions and when they didn't find any, they looked under the car. They found the problem- a rubber pad behind the tire had come off and was stuck and causing the noise. They removed it and didn't charge me anything. after charging my wife $55 to change a $20 cabin filter I made sure I checked her car over before she brought it back for just an oil change, only to find that the cabin filter they installed was crushed into place and was serving no purpose . after bringing the crushed filter show them they did nothing and customer service was no help either . Had to make an appointment for an inspection since they no longer offer walk-ins which makes sense. They took my car right away. Nice smooth process. The tech asked if I needed an oil change which I didn't but I understand they want to generate sales which is what they're supposed to do. It's nice though not to feel pressured into buying new tires or brakes like other places when u take your car in for an inspection The place is well organized, clean & the staff is courteous & friendly. I do most of my own car maintenance since I still am able but sometimes you just dont want to deal with it. Especially in the extreme hot or cold weather so they have done a couple of oil changes and replaced my serpentine belt for a reasonable price. Its convenient to have a shop like this close to home. I've been using this location for my company fleet vehicle for a couple of years. Overall, decent service. Prior to today, only real gripe is that they water down their windshield washer fluid and it freezes in the winter. Stopped by today about 8:05 am for an oil change and inspection. The guy that came out abruptly said they require appointments for inspections now and earliest is 11am (right in the middle of the workday). Valvoline's greatest business asset is convenience. Also, the website doesn't say anything about the appointment requirement and I had my last two inspections done as a drive up. Very inconvenient. Metric Motors just got a new customer. read more

Terrible service by and they also lie about what you need. Better to go to your local mechanic who stands by their work.

Not only did my hood have an issue closing properly upon leaving causing the sensor that chirps when you lock the car to stop chirping but when I went back to have them look at what they did to cause the problem the manager Daniel proceeded to speak to me in a condescending manner telling me that I should make sure that my doors and trunk and hood are closed before I try to lock my car. Clearly because I'm a woman I don't know how to make sure these parts of the car are shut. He said this in front of multiple employees. None of these items were the issue. Then they tried to tell me wear and tear caused the problem. Well it wasn't a problem until I went there for an oil change today so I find that unlikely as well. What I do find likely is that they may have closed something in my hood bending it up so the sensor didn't properly touch. They fixed it but the way Daniel treated me was disrespectful to say the least. And there is no point in speaking with his regional manager because as a man as well he felt it was completely acceptable to speak to a woman in that manner and to try to blame the sensor on me when it had never been an issue until I left there today. I came here for an oil change. The next day I noticed a piece of metal was dragging on the ground from the underneath my car. Turns out they didn't screw everything back together correctly and pieces were coming loose. I went somewhere else to get it fixed because I didn't trust them to fix their own mistake. read more

After going back and forth they still denied to fix the problem that occurred. Came in for an oil change, inspection, and tire rotation. Confirmed with 2 employees that this was possible, all while in my stock 2012 Jeep Wrangler. After the oil change and inspection was complete they told me that tire rotations were not possible on jeeps, even stock models because a special lift is required. Of course this is not true, and more importantly they tricked me into getting the oil change and inspection before telling me! Shame on you valvoline! Stay away. read more

I dealt with a guy I think his name was nick from what I remember on the shirt. He was the most unprofessional and disrespectful person I've dealt with in any shop I've been to. The oil change cost way more than I expected for a car that doesn't use synthetic oil. There were several other people there getting their oil changed and an employee brought out a dirty cabin air filter every time he spoke to a customer and told them it was theirs and needed to be replaced for $22.99. It's a little suspicious to me that every air filter looked the same and had a dead bug stuck to the corner of it. Went to this place again, against my better judgement. I had been there several times over the years with several different vehicles. Last time I was there, with my Subaru Legacy, they didn't replace the oil drain plug washer (which is required by Subaru at every oil change). This led to oil leaking out past the plug, until I could have the oil changed again. I thought I'd give them a try again yesterday, again with my Legacy. This time they over filled the power steering reservoir, which when I arrived home, had spilled out of the reservoir and created a mess in my engine compartment. But worse than that, my power steering is now making a terrible whirring noise and I think they may have caused damage to it. read more

After retuning home, found we were given a standard paper filter and researched online.
