I asked if I can leave the car that same night so they can work on it first thing in morning being they don't take appts. I dropped my car off and key in envelope taped w/ name number and issue in Dropbox at 6pm. The next morning didn't hear anything so I called by 930am and spoke to Mark who said he sees my car put me on hold to speak with mechanics then said he will call me right back. Mark called back 40min later and said he doesn't have my key to the car and asked if i personally left it and where. I told him in the door w/ brass slit as I heard it hit the floor. Mark informEd me he did not see it and asked if I have another key I can bring. I told him my key is there and Someone must have taken it. also my car is there so I don't have a ride at the min to bring another key. I suggested he watch the camera after he told me I can come show him where I left the key. Mark said he will continue to look. At 1030 I have my mother bring me down to Steve and shannons tire as I felt uncomfortable about the situation. on the way back to Steve and Shannon's Mark calls me and says he found my key to the car. Mark informed me his manager arrived today before him and took my key not realizing it and he is out doing deliveries but will be bringing it back. Then Mark asked me what he should have the mechanics look at and said they will give a discount. Then mark said Oo I forgot you wrote every on the envelope Nevermind. I showed up at Steve and Shannon and asked where the manger is with the key and I don't feel comfortable with how things were handled. Mark stated he had phone calls with the district manager who watched the video and told him the manager took the key last night. Mark said looks like your not comfortable with our services you should go somewhere else. I assured Mark that's what I plan to do and waited over 40min for my key then asked mark where the manger was and how much longer I should have to wait. Mark said he will call him. Mark informed me he is on the way but couldn't tell me how much longer or where he was coming from. 10 minutes later the managers wife walks in with my key while the manger stayed in the car outside. the wife looked like they just rolled out of bed and probably stopped for breakfast otw. This service was completely unprofessional from all parties involved.

I went to the dealer this week and they gave me photo of cap leaking oil and said I had to do it again. Valvoline said they DO NOT CHECK if the cap is leaking so they would not refund me. What a mystery - they tried to do rear differential because that's revenue to them but they don't care if I leave the garage leaking oil?! Also the dealer verbally told me that I needed coolant and Valvoline said tough luck to that because the dealer didn't put it in the notes.

After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! They cited streaks which they were not able to show, and told me if I left to replace it I would have to get a whole new inspection, essentially charging me for two inspections unless I payed for the parts they wanted to sell me. I took the car immediately to the Ford Dealership, which found no issues with it and had no problem passing my inspection as is. The car is brand new, with only 3,000 miles on it, most of which were put on at the dealership which replaced the wipers and everything before I drove it off the lots. I heard them tell at least two other people that they also needed new wipers on their inspections which further makes me suspicious that it is just their current parts selling scam. I intended to file a complaint with the state inspection agency so that this type of thing does not keep happening to people. I have been using Jiffy Lube for a long time, and while I was not going to need to come in as frequently as I just got a new electric car, I certainly had been recommending it to all my friends. They have lost a life long advocate and customer from this experience.
