Went to get a synthetic oil change 6 days ago thought everything was fine, drove home, parked my car came out the next morning and a bunch of oil was leaking and car sounded worse then it already was... Went back the same day to see what they can do about it after waiting in line for about an hour... they said "there's nothing we can do about it, there's no oil leak, take it to Firestone and get it looked at" (they always tell you that by the way!!! basically saying we fucked up but there's nothing we can fix) Didn't get any money back, they didn't even try to tighten anything... bunch of unhinged people that don't care about others highly don't recommend! read more

Came in here for a standard oil change. There was one person in front of me and the other service lanes were all closed so we were kind of all corral in a straight line until the other stations opened up. Then conveniently, they opened up one station and then another one allowing people in the back to jump immediately into the front of the line with no wait time and no consideration for the people already waiting 45 minutes plus for a oil change. Incredibly frustrated that I just spent an hour waiting while the incompetent staff continued to allow new people directly service and disregarding all those waiting. Do not come here. read more

I have been getting oil changes and minor maintenance at Valvoline on East Broad St for a few years. They are always efficient and friendly. Also affordable. My car is a 20 yr old Toyota Camry and I'm sure Valvoline has played an important role in keeping her going! read more

2nd time I showed up at 7:30am (when it supposedly is open for business) and shop is not open. Waited 20 minutes and still not open. Only 1 employee had arrived when I had left. Who knows when the rest of the staff arrive. Ridiculous!!! read more

I had my oil changed here on a thursday, check engine light came on when I turned out of the parking lot. Was having major issues with the car called friday morning and was told to come back in. Car broke down while I was driving there saturday. I was told it was because of my previous oil change... got that done at valvoline too. The manager zach was rude and inconsiderate and the lack of communication was insane.Got my refund even though he said it was impossible to get my payment back. Got here at 8:03am today, a solid three minutes after opening. As I write this review I'm still here waiting, it's been over an hour at this point - every other car here when I arrived has been serviced, and then some. Truly no words for the massive waste of time this was. I called another location to ask if they had a line currently and the associate told me she would check, only to hang up on me. if I could give them negative stars I would. I went to this location for an oil change and tire rotation. I left with a nail in my tire. Not once before visiting this location did my low pressure light come on. the next morning after visiting this location my low pressure light was on. I went to a tire shop to get it fixed. while at the tire shop another customer overheard me telling the story of what happened. the other customer and I started talking and realized we received service at the same location and was told we had a nail in our tire. Now this poor service we both received has cost us more out of pocket expenses due to needing a new tire. I spoke to the manager what was very unprofessional and blamed the mail on another new by business. read more

I live near by this Valvoline, so it makes it super convenient to get my oil changed here. It used to be super fast and friendly and someone would always monitor the line when you pull up. Today was a very different experience. I waited an hour to only watch other bays open and cars pull in before me. Once I did finally get in, no welcome at all, and my attendant was slow, and seemed to not care at all. He even started helping another attendant with his car he was working on. He disappeared for about 15 minutes didn't see him and I was left just sitting there in my car. The whole crew seemd to just move at a snails pace! My attendant stopped working on my car altogether to help his buddy! I will never get my oil checked or changed here again. Insane! read more

I went and got an oil change a little over a week ago. I was able to pull right in. The techs were not friendly and my report stated they did a lot of things they did not do. They did not add coolant or check anything but my lights and oil. Everything is checked off on the paper. They did check my battery with a tester I heard them say was broken. But they still told me I need a new battery. I had it checked at autozone and it was good. They also didn't try to reset my oil light. I had to Google it. The maintenance check is a complete lie. I'm so disappointed I trusted them again. I called customer service immediately afterwards and was told I would get a call back from the manager. That never happened. I called them 9 minutes after I pulled in for the oil change as soon as I pulled out and looked at my receipt. My oil change took 7 minutes. I was not valued as a customer. Prompt service even on a crowded Sunday afternoon. Courteous, diligent. Was a little worried at the side conversation some of the younger attendants were engaged in and my time went a little over 15 minutes after I was in the service bay. A little bit of confusion keeping everyone moving amongst the different bays. But they checked off all my needs, took care of my engine and oil issues and did it all for a reasonable price so I have no genuine complaints about this business. read more

On July 28, 2018, after years of going to AAA for my oil changes I just recently decided to try Valvoline's services once again. Well, needless to say on my very first visit after many years I received the worst possible service. I say this because just two days after receiving my oil change, the OIL FILTER FELL OUT OF MY CAR! I was driving to the airport for a week long business trip, and at 3:30 AM on July 30, 2018 I heard a loud sound come from underneath my car as if I'd ran over something. My daughter and I get out of the car to find a streak of oil and the oil filter lying on the ground! Thank goodness for Uber otherwise I would have missed my flight. Later in the day after arriving at my hotel, I called the Valvoline located at 4053 E. Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213, where I had my oil change done and spoke with John Barnes. I explained to Mr. Barnes what happened that morning and he stated that he would come to my house right away to do an oil change on my car again. I told him I was away on business and he would have to come later in the day when my husband was available. Approximately around 3:15 PM, Mr. Barnes arrived. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience of my car engine blowing up due to a shoddy oil change and offering some type of compensation for our inconvenience, Mr. Barnes had the gall to tell my husband he was performing a free oil change. My husband was extremely insulted at Mr. Barnes lack of responsibility for his employees actions as he continued to make excuses about why this happened. After pressing the issue, Mr. Barnes once again insulted my husband by stating that he would receive 20% off the next time we came in for an oil change. Honestly, should I trust Valvoline to perform another oil change on my vehicle after this incident? After showing that he was visibly upset by Mr. Barnes lackadaisical attitude, he then offered one free oil change. I am honestly appalled by this entire situation. I have been taking my car to AAA since I purchased this car five years ago and on a whim before my business trip I needed an oil change and decided to go to Valvoline. Well I must say it is possibly one of the potentially worst decisions I could have made and Mr. Barnes attitude about the situation has only cemented in my mind that this company does not care about its customers or their cars. read more

I like coming here as opposed to the dealer because there is no telling what is happening when the dealer takes the car back. Here, you are sitting in the car and can see. Came in for an oil change. Was told my rear high light was out. Had me pop the trunk. Once the oil change was over, they guided me out of the grave and I drive off. My trunk flew open while driving because they 1) didn't close it and 2) never even fixed the light. read more
