Went there for an oil change today. Staff very unprofessional yelling at each other and not watching what they were doing. In addition it changing my oil they replaced my air filter. The individual who changed the air filter looked as if he had no idea what he was doing as it took him longer to do this task than for my oil to be changed. ALSO in the process of changing the air filter he disconnected my mass air flow sensor and left it unplugged. I only noticed this because while I was driving home my check engine light came on and once home and when I turned my car off the fan for the engine kept running. When I opened up the hood at home to see if i could tell if anything looked off, that's when I noticed the sensor was disconnected. This is completely unacceptable as driving without this sensor could cause serious damage to your car. When trying to call to the store to discuss these issues you can't even talk to anyone at the store. Instead you get put on hold for 10 minutes before talking to someone at a help desk and they can only open a claim and say sorry this happened. Trying to get a simple oil change at this place could end up causing more damage to your car. read more

I used to go here for years and recently have been going to Valvoline, I came back to try it since I was in the area and it was a complete mistake. I was next in line and told I'll be in shortly and 30 min later finally got in the bay just to have them work on the other car and make me sit there for another 30 min without the chance to even leave. Only giving one star because I have no choice. This place is terrible. My husband went here twice over the past year. The first time he went there he checked his oil when he got home and the oil was not filled up properly and it was super black Like they didn't even change it. It's almost like they just took a little bit out and then closed it back up. I don't even think they changed his oil filter. So then he went back again and spoke with the manager and the manager said that he was sorry about that and that he would make sure that they did a better job this time. My husband marked the oil filter with a sharpie and just suspected he ended up with the same oil filter. They never changed the oil filter out for him. They did change the oil this time, but they Only screwed on the bolt on with their hands because he was able to take the bolt off hisself using his hands when he went to change his oil today. Good thing he decided to do it himself this time. Save your money go somewhere else. read more

I called and was advised my oil change would be $51.99. She offered a $15 off coupon. I arrived at the Reynoldsburg New Albany location and was told by the pony tail guy. Gary, that they don't have that oil change. When I told him what the woman had told me and that I could have gotten it done for less by going to Valvoline and he said " Then you can go to Valvoline". When I question his professionalism and his attitude towards me, he said I'm not being an asshole, and this is my manager. Service is quick, they check all the boxes and you don't have to put up with any nonsense. Prices to get oil changed are ridiculously high and they will pressure you into getting a more expensive oil change that is not necessary. Called ahead and they said $40 for oil change which is wrong based on picture. They took advantage of my son, by saying he also needed an air filter change and other stuff. Told them no and still trying to force sell it. Told them no several times. I don't recommend. Seems if you are not knowing much about cars or young they will take full advantage of you. read more

Yesterday was my second trip to Take 5. I pulled in behind one of the bays, and another car pulled in next to me a few minutes later. The car in front of him finished first (the story of my life), but one of the guys came out and had us switch spots because they saw that I'd come in earlier. It shows that they were paying attention. They also brought out a bottle of water, which is a nice touch - nicer in the Summer! The team did a very thorough job and didn't hit me with a hard upsell. All of the fluids were topped off and tires were checked. They checked my air filter and showed it to me, but they were straight up telling me that I didn't need a new one. Pricewise, they're about in the middle of the pack and they usually have coupons, so no complaints about the price. Unless there's a drastic change there, this is likely going to be my go-to for oil changes from now on. read more

My husband had to get a haircut, so I had both my kids in the car driving off with his vehicle before I realized his oil change and tire air lights had been on for quite awhile. I didn't have much time before i needed to pick him back up. Now I've never been to a Take 5 Oil Change, but I remembered seeing it and I thought it would be convenient since I didn't want to unload the kids. I pull up and these dudes give me a water, two juices for my kids, two fruit snacks for my kids, and explained everything that was going on. It was slightly more expensive than I wanted to pay but for the beyond excellent service and timeliness, plus the perks for the kids. They get a perfect score in my book. Ask for micheal! read more

The service at this place is great! They give you water when you arrive and are very polite and customer-oriented when you're there. I did the usual oil change from them and they had new employees who were slacking off. I saw from far away that they went down and came back up much quicker than usual. What do I know, I only pay and leave trusting them to do their job respecting the customers for the amount it is being paid. I had a thousand miles left apart from a sticker and one month left but they just told me that it happens to cars themselves and it's not the oil they put in. The man who came to me told me that it is my fault for doing a oil change there and it's the car's fault not the oil they used, I hope other locations aren't like this. Excellent experience! Honestly, I was on my way to Jiffy Lube when I was driving by Take 5. I noted there was oy one car in one bay and no line so I pulled in here instead (I don't really like Jiffy Lube anyway and my usual mechanic just retired so I hadn't even thought about where I was going to take my truck for an oil change!) I pulled up to the available bay and someone came to greet me right away AND offered me annice cold bottle of water. We talked about what kind of oil I wanted, again, this isn't something I've had to discuss for ages and I could not remeber what exactly is in my car. So he walked me through the types and helped me remember what I've been using in my old lady. The service was really fast and they did a really nice job of keeping things neat and clean. I've had more than one experience where a quicky lube shop has spilled oil on my engine and that displeases me greatly! Then he told me about the top off policy which is awesome since my old lady is a little leaky. I've never even heard of that service from someplace else. It also cost about what I expected for my truck's oil change. So, overall I super excited about the service I received here and I've already recommended the shop to several of the folks I work with (we all just work down the road and live right in the area). I'm ALWAYS looking for places with superior customer service and this place definitely is at the top of my list! Thank you! read more

I waited in line for 45 minutes. I was next in line to have my oil changed when one of the workers came and told me he was going to swap spots in my lane with another car, so he moved this car in to be next in line and move me back to the other line where I had three cars ahead of me. Totally unprofessional. I will never use this place ever again. I went to another oil change place around the corner and was in and out in 10 minutes. I do NOT recommend this place. There were two cars in the bays when I pulled up to the back doors. After waiting between 5-10 minutes, with no one behind me, I was asked to pull my car behind the right hand door. After sitting there for an additional 2-3 minutes the left hand bay opened up and the waved another car up who had just pulled in. I waited another couple of minutes expecting someone to come out to explain to me why I wasn't asked to pull into that bay! No one came out, so I left. I then called the store to let them know that I had pulled out because of them being totally unaware of the situation. I don't know who answered the phone (female), but she did nothing to apologize or explain. She simply defended their screwup and then hung up on me!!! I will not recommend this particular place to anyone I know! Very poor customer service!! read more

I have taken my car here exclusively for 4.5 years and the service has been getting worse and worse. First, my tires were incorrectly filled. (3) were filled to 39 psi and (1) was filled to 32 psi. They are supposed to be at 35 psi. Second, I was notified that my oil filter spindle was bent. I was notified of this the last time I came here, but never before that. I asked how it could be bent, and the (manager?) said that it could be multiple ways or could have came from the factory bent. They never mentioned it was bent the first 5 times I came here. So someone here must have bent it. Third, they tried to change my oil but informed me that my oil pan plug was now stripped. Again, the last time anyone messed with the plug was when I came to this exact location to get my oil changed previously. So how did it get stripped? It wasn't stripped the last time I came here. So now, I will be taking my car to an actual mechanic and will be seeking compensation for damages caused by this company and its employees. read more
