Mrs Candace has a way of making it fun. It's hard work but she was very kind and patient, and my son actually started asking for swimming lessons and her on days we wouldn't be scheduled. My in-laws who have a pool keep him during the week. I confidently feel like if the worst happened and he was able to get outside and in the pool he would survive and that's worth every penny. It also seems like it's been a great way to boost intelligence through routine physical activity. Edited to say we after the initial course in April we did the maintenance lessons in October and in the following April the four week refresher and now as we are approaching summer my almost 3 year old is swimming from one side of the pool to the other multiple times. Not only in terms of grades and ACT scores but how they treat each of their students as family. The tutors are amazing at what they do and make sure the students really understand the material. As a dual-credit student I took some challenging college classes and they taught me better than some seasoned professors. Mr. Alan personally meets with all his students and takes interest in what their goals are- be it college choice, grades, or SAT test scores- and helps make it happen. He makes sure they are pushed to excel in the areas they need to be, not just sit and breeze by the work. I'm very thankful for the experience I had here and I wish all of them well.

This is a review for the track at the high school. I can't comment on the school, the kids, the…read moreteachers, the buses, the principal or anything else except the track! Which I love! I started running on pavement...didn't know anything different. Didn't realize that running on a track feels so much better on the knees and joints. Plus, it's way easier to do speed work on a track that's already all marked out. The only downsides: there's no water. You HAVE to bring your own hydration. Which really isn't that big of a deal. I mean, what runner doesn't have a camelbak, or a hydration belt, or at least a water bottle? The bigger thing is no bathrooms. I have seen the bathrooms at the track open exactly once, so unless they open them when school starts, do not count on there being anyplace to go! There have been days where there are groups using the track (school athletic groups, I think), so you just have to play nice and give them room. There really is plenty of room, you just have to be aware of what people are doing around you. I love this option to work on my speedwork; it feels better om my legs, plus there's bleachers if you want to incorporate some bleacher work into your running routine as well. Come on out on Tuesdays at 7 pm and see me and my running peeps! We will be there!!

Our child has gone here for almost a year and the change in him is nothing short of amazing. He has Classic Autism and his interaction both at home and at school has greatly improved. All the therapy in the world could never amount to the gains we've seen in the past year at TMA. And he's on his own pace, education wise, so he's not 'left behind' or 'way ahead' of other children. He's exactly where he should be.
