(she plagerism)SHE never worked in a preschool she doesnt know the difference between day care and pre k ( SHE had the teacher explain multi purpose education and the set up of the classrooms ( SHe does not know what an IEP is, every pre k needs one special ed teacher for evaluation she doesnt speak english well , her out gym is not safe for 3 year olds! she never studied pre k education and doesn't have the qualifications! she wanted the room to be spotless but didnt care about the mental health of staff or kids ! SHE has a 2 year old with a 6 year old . HER website says all these programs none of the exist! she never did zumbini she got rid of gymnastics and spanish teacher to expensive ( she had me watch the kids with no teacher! since she is home schooling her kids ( she did not have a program created she winged it from teachers she had no toddler program just stuck all ages in the same room ( ms Kerri had to tell her to get a changing station for toddlers ! ( she ran a home daycare she is clueless and abusive and thats why people quit!!!!!! SHE doesnt care about your childs IEP or education to be emotionally ready for kindergarten! she is only money hungry and creates cheap discounts , SHE had me watch the kids as a teacher assistant with no teacher! Manhattan Riding Club is the answer to this NYC-based horse girl's dreams. I've now done three…read morerides with MRC, an intro to foxhunting day, one of the Bedford Hacks, and a Hunter Pace. Before my first ride, Melissa and Alana were extremely thoughtful and diligent about understanding my riding history and ability so I was paired with the perfect mount and had an incredible ride. Not only am I able to ride almost weekly in the beautiful areas surrounding NYC, I've met a fabulous group of New York equestrians, many who have a similar story to mine. As a relatively advanced adult rider who no longer owns a horse, I feel like this organization and model was made for me. I now can't stop signing up for rides and am just thrilled to be a part of MRC!

The horses that were trailered up for us were well-suited to each rider, and because everyone was a confident and competent horse rider, we got to do a fun mix of gaits and jumps! I took a walk around some of the fences that some of the more experienced fox hunter riders were able to do confidently, but there were plenty of opportunities for me to try smaller fences and build confidence back up after some time away from jumping. Great potential for community, exercise, and FUN in some of the most beautiful equestrian spaces on earth. Don't hesitate to try it - you won't be disappointed! Lilly, the main teacher, is energetic, warm & engaging. The classroom environment is very welcoming, like a giant, kid-friendly family room collided with a toy store! The composition of the class - free play, music, snack (or lunch, if during lunchtime) with story time, craft project, play, more music - is a very age-appropriate rhythm. Poppyseed has been a fantastic "first classroom" experience for my son and really helped him develop the comfort and confidence to be ready for separation programs and activities with his peers.

My 2.5 year old son loves Poppyseed and immerses himself in all of the activities, as do the other…read morekids. It was perfect for him because he wasn't ready to separate, so his caregiver (or I) attends with him, and now that he's nearing the end of the program, I think he'll be ready to start a 3's nursery program without having much if any separation anxiety. The kids also eat lunch together and have a great time interacting. My son has a "best friend" in the program already. Excellent facilities, indoor and outdoor arenas, expansive pastures, wholesome feed carefully selected for each horse. Clean stalls and very happy horses. As my horse aged, and I was pulled away by work and family issues, Jodi Meyer quietly saw to it that my horse's care was modified to his aging issues. Always I was alerted of any problems, but his feed was changed when he lost teeth and couldn't handle hay anymore etc. Every horse is treated as though they are owned by the farm. I had to put my 33 year old horse down in Jan 2019, and Jodi was by my side and helped me reach the vet after we could not get him on his feet anymore. He had had a stroke. I will be bringing my younger horse down from upstate NY to River Vu Farms as soon as Spring breaks. There is no better place and I've been to most of them. Also, there is summer camp for kids which I have observed personally and it is exceptional. Great education on equine everything and a lot of fun with plenty of riding. What more can I say. It's quiet, peaceful and filled with GREAT Friendly boarders. Heaven.

Unfortunately it just didn't work out and we decided to take our child out after four months of enrollment. It was just a series of events that led to this decision, but the worst part is how it ended. Since he started in April, we felt like he's been out of the daycare more days than he attended(2 weeks for covid closure(thankfully my son didn't have it), a little less than a week for coxsackie closure(unfortunately he caught it from one of the kids), a random day in June, these upcoming two weeks for training and Labor Day, and possible two weeks Christmas Eve thru New Years break) and we're still paying for all of those days he's not attending on top of paying for a sitter while the daycare is closed. We wish we were aware that they have extended breaks instead of just major holidays like the other daycares in the area. What make matters worst is that they have a system where you pay for the month in advance. We notified them in August that our child will no longer attend the center in September(the month we recently paid for) and requested to get the money back. First we was told that our agreement states we have to give a 30 day notice(which it absolutely doesn't). When we went over the agreement and explained how it doesn't, we was just told that accounting team won't give a refund with less than a 30 day notice. I honestly feel scammed for my hard earned money and this experience has left a real bad taste in my mouth. Overall, this was the worst experience I've ever had and no parent should have to go through this.
