I was through the entire museum in an hour- I read things that interest me and admire the sheer size and engineering for various planes and tanks. I was fascinated to learn about the "Night Witches"- a Russian squad of female pilots who made nighttime bomb runs. First country to allow women to fly bomb runs. And how they did it- flying low, cutting the engines to glide silently over targets and the only warning was the whistling of the bombs dropping through the air. They also had a ball turret solo on display and I want so badly to sit in one to experience just how tight that was for those few men small enough to even work that under the belly of B-17 or B-24. The tank cut in half was also very impressive. John took almost 2.5 hours and stayed till closing. Bonus- great gift shop, we snagged some Christmas gifts for some of out aviation loving family members!

You couldn't use the bathroom or take photos on the on ground tour and they just repeated small lame facts. Wish I would not have waisted the time or money. They are a huge fancy company and taking advantage of tourists. Yuck.

Hibulb is absolutely worth the time. I am a fan of tribal history and arts, worldwide. There is so much to learn from the past. I greatly appreciate the artistry, with emphasis on the stories and meanings behind each work. Native American arts, especially carvings, are so potent in their story telling. Hibulb did a fantastic job with their many signs, photos, sharing tales and appreciation of nature. I wish they have a museum book in the gift shop. Things not to miss: - Sit in the Longhouse room and watch the video. - Observe the military service of the Native Americans. - Look closely at the two welcome statues; see below the feet of Kaya. - Enjoy the old restored totem poles and the associated signs for their meanings. - Learn about using cedar trees in different ways (without cutting them down) and later see photos that they are passing on the knowledge to the new generations. - Find the touch and feel boards. At the first address I reached, I found flat paved ground with no building. I was more successful at the second address, finding a small museum building, which was not open at the time. Seeking to see if I could find another exhibit, I remembered the Grimm house that I spotted while exploring North Cove Park. To one side of the Paul and Bertha Grimm House, located on the south side of North Cove Park at the time of my visit, was a small parking area. The gates to the grounds were unlocked, so I made my way to the front door through which a decorated interior was visible including a Lake Stevens Historical Society sign. Outside the front door was a plaque with background about the house, which was constructed in 1903. Fun sites to explore, including just finding the buildings.
