this is Van Zeelands Auto Care on Oneida Street in Appleton. I would Give this place a zero Stars if I could. they put the wrong after I oil to use. The Guy swore up and down that they put in the right oil and I told them that they didn't. Good thing Toyota had an opening and they change the oil and put in the correct oil for the vehicle. I used to just go there to buy my tires but now I will not go back. Stay away from this Business! read more

HORRIBLY RUDE AND THIEVES! WE have been going to The Little Chute Van Zeeland for almost 10 years with amazing service and great prices. Today my daughter accidentally booked an appointment for Northland location. Matt was was horrific. First of all he told us we would have to pay over $600 for an oil change, windshield wipers an air filter a fresh spark plugs. He was charging us $130+ to just look at it! Never in all ten years have we been given a $130 Bill just to tell us what we need fixed. When I got the call I said no thank you we will go back to Little Chute as we WRONGLY ASSUMED service would be just as good since it's "Van Zeeland". Boy were we wrong. My husband had to go in to get our keys and the man was rude and condescending and in the end made my husband give him $48 before he'd return our keys. Hey! Whoever is owner of Van Zeeland's on Northland! You have a real piece of work representing your company working for you. Not only does he take advantage of young girls ignorance but also your employee is robber and I will share with everyone I know what horrible service we received. I hope that $48 was worth it because you just lost shit ton of sales. As a mother of 8 with four drivers in our home and two in the area you just lost a shot ton of business. read more

I set up an appointment to have an oil change and tire rotation done at the Northland Avenue location. Upon my arrival I told the gentleman I needed my tires rotated and wanted to use synthetic blend oil. He told me it would be about an hour and 15 minutes because one of the workers had to run out to get a part. I said that was fine I would go walk to the dollar tree and return. Before I left I decided to mark my tires because I had a feeling they weren't going to rotate them. I returned 50 minutes later the first thing I did was looked at my tires and noticed that the markings were on the same tires and the tires were on the same spot as they were before I left. When I went in the store the first thing I told him was you didn't rotate my tires did you? He said yes they did, I replied and told him they did not rotate my tires because I had marked them I went and showed him and he still denied and said they rotated my tires. What a joke to sit and lie right to my face. I will never return to Van Zeeland again because of their dishonesty. He Knew I would be out of the area and not be able to watch so he thought he could get away with it. Jokes on him I know I marked my tires. I always receive great service from the Prospect and Northland locations, especially from Dwayne, the manager at Northland. He knows all the regulars by name, knows their cars and bits on their personal life. He also has helped me on numerous occasions with minor things even when I'm not on their schedule and they're booked up. Top notch service. read more

On my previous review, the stars weren't all lit up! How do I fix that so it doesn't count as a no-star review? Anyway, Van Zeeland's is in OUR neighborhood. They are busy, but we can still get in promptly if we have a serious problem. Appreciate how they check over everything when I come in for an oil change. They have Keurig coffee, tea, hot chocolate and the daily paper available if you decide to sit and wait. :) read more

Had them look at a used car before I bought it. They ASSURED me - repeatedly - that the struts were completely shot and needed replacing immediately. For this they would charge about $800-$900. The clutch would also need a replacement within 10,000 miles for about $1000. These points were inarguable based on their assessment. I actually bought the car with the strut replacement cost built in, and with the inevitable cost of a new clutch in mind. One week after buying it, I brought it to a new mechanic who said that while he could use the business, the struts/shocks were completely fine. I've had the suspension checked by numerous shops over the last 20,000+ miles, and aside from a wheel bearing replacement at $225, I've had no issues and zero calls for a new suspension. The clutch is still loose, but is totally fine at the moment. I was able to negotiate the price down based on their inaccurate assessment (for which i feel kind of bad), but I would never take a car there. read more

While purchasing a set of tires 2 weeks ago, the technician pointed out some other repairs my vehicle needed. Scheduled my vehicle to have some of those repairs done today. Had an 8:30 am appointment. Was told at the time of setting up appointment that it would take 4-5 hours. Dropped my vehicle off at 8:25 am. As we are from out of town, my wife decided to come down a bit later and we'd do some Christmas shopping. She picked me up from Van Zeelands at 9:15am and off we went. Got a bit of a bad feeling at that time when I noticed my vehicle hadn't moved but I know how car repairs can go so I thought "no big deal". Assumed they would call when my repairs were done but no call came. Returning at 3pm, my vehicle had not moved and no work had been done. I went inside to find out what was going on only to be told, "we got a little behind today, a couple of guys called in sick." I asked the assistant manager, who shall remain nameless, when did he know that they were going to be short handed? Between 8 and 830 was his reply. I then asked him why he simply didn't let me know then that they couldn't take care of my vehicle. He simply looked back at me in silence, providing no answer. The tires I bought earlier are great and that experience was pretty good but today... Man I'm at a loss to figure out the complete lack of communication on the part of the assistant manager. went there to get a tire repaired and the manager said he only has time to fix my tire if its off the car.i left and went to Auto Select up the street.I figured if they had time to fix my tire if it wasn't on the car whats a few minutes to take my tire off and then fix it? The Oneida Street location is as good as it gets as far as I am concerned. I have been there 3 times for a head light, flat tire, and a car that would not start and have spent maybe $30 total. The last time I was there they spent at least 1/2 hour to get my car running and did not charge me a dime. How many garages will do that? When I told them I was in a hurry and all their garage bays were full, they sent a guy outside in the rain to change my head light. All my future business is going here. read more

I went to Oneida St. center. A simple job of a valve stem replacement, turned into me having to get a new tire ! They told me the tire was so rusted to the rim that it tore the bead when they removed it . Well I wasn't born yesterday! They think everybody they deal with is STUPID when it comes to cars! That ANYTHING they tell you is fact. When I got home I looked at the tire and saw, when they tried to remove the tire they didn't use a lubricant to make the tire machine work smoothly! THAT IS WHY THE BEAD TORE! Took it back to JOE, didn't get anywhere ! (bad customer ethics). He told me we are done here! AND told me to leave. I told him I am going to Corporate Headquarters. He said go ahead they won't listen to you anyway! I went, talked to the owner. AFTER heavy negotiation, I got him to have my tire work done at NEENAH, I agreed and went to see JOSE! A day and night difference between managers! JOSE got the job done, AND was understanding + honest! JOSE IS THE ONE THAT WON ME BACK ! NOT THE OWNER OR HIS SIDEKICK JOE !!
