Once again nicely set up and executed, save one thing, and that is that the rubber seal around my window has a spot that was dinged up from removal or installation of the windshield. I would also have liked my state park sticker removed so I could use it a couple more times camping. (that may be my fault - but I think a really alert installer would think, "I wonder if they want their state park sticker?" and call me. On the whole they were great, as they had to come out quite a ways to do the repair and everyone at the office wand the installer were very nice on the phone. Would have been 5 stars without the gasket/windshield seal damage.

After our windshield replacement, a technician ran out with a trim piece he believed may have been forgotten. Before we even left the parking lot, our van began beeping with a warning light. Staff initially dismissed it as a door issue, we checked the doors and I was told to drive around awhile to see if would stop, after returning, it turned out the hood had been left open. At home, we discovered a trim piece that wasn't adhered properly. During our two‑week trip, during the first rain after the repair, the wipers struck each other. We had to pull over and purchase a tool in order to adjust them. The windshield then leaked inside near the rearview mirror--issues that should never occur after a professional installation. Safelite did schedule a warranty appointment quickly when we returned this time at the Green Bay WI location, but the same trim piece lifted again shortly afterward, and today after the first rain found that the the wipers were never replaced despite being told they would be. When we asked for mobile service or even mailed wipers, we were told neither was possible and that we would need to drive back in again. We do live in a location that they can come out to for service and since we already made 2 trips for the repair we declined and my husband will purchase and replace the wipers, and put some adhesive on the trim piece. Given the repeated mistakes, inconvenience, and lack of follow‑through, we cannot recommend Safelite and will advise customers of our mechanic shop accordingly.

No other drivers or large trucks in front of or around me, I figured it was a meteorite (really, that's my conclusion). It hit the corner where the windshield and roof meet, with a nice little dent on the edge of my roof and several cracks in my windshield to show for it. So I called Safelite to get it fixed for roughly $240 (because they have effective advertising), and when they showed up, they saw the dent and told me I had to first get that fixed (since it could cause a leak). I started by visiting a dent repair shop, who promptly told me they couldn't fix it (because of the placement of the dent) and that I should go to a dealership. So I went to the one he recommended to find out it would cost $500 (for just getting the dent out)! He also told me that some auto glass shops could possibility fix it (by using more polyurethane where the dent was, minimizing the chance of a leak) and recommended a few, including Rick's Auto Glass. A one-man shop, it was an obvious choice, since generally lower overhead means lower cost for the customer. He even had a loaner for me to use when he worked on my car! In the end, he got it done for only $210! For that reason I highly recommend Rick's Auto Glass.

I brought my wife's relatively new Hyundai Palisade to Dan, with a moderate dent on the side panel. I believe I paid out of pocket for that and Dan was very reasonable compared to other shops that I had received quotes from and I was more than satisfied with the end product. Recently, I had the misfortune of damaging the rear body quarter panel on a brand new 2021 Chevy Silverado. Initially my insurance company wanted to just mud it and paint over it and Dan fought on my behalf and told them that it is a brand new truck and that would just flat out look crappy. The insurance company changed their mind and Dan ended up doing the work and I picked the truck up today and it still looks brand new! So here is the last thing I will say to show you all what sets Dan and Gracy's auto body apart from everyone else. In the week that it took for Dan to order the new part for my truck, I scraped against something else causing what looked like significant damage to the other side of the truck. I brought the truck right away to show Dan and he said that he didn't think it was dented and he felt he could buff out all the rest. He did this for me and didn't charge me an extra penny! I don't live in Wisconsin, but I came to this Discount Tire for an emergency situation after my…read moresteering wheel suddenly began shaking. I had a 5+ hour drive home that same day and specifically requested that the wheels be balanced and the one bad tire be replaced. Initially, they declined to do what I requested. After speaking with my dad over the phone, they agreed to replace a tire. However, once I got home and we removed all four wheels, we discovered that the tire they replaced was not the tire that actually had the issue. They had also added a significant amount of wheel weights to the problematic wheel without explaining this to me. All four of my Michelin tires had been balanced within the past year and previously only had a small amount of weight on each wheel, so seeing that many weights added to a single wheel was concerning and appeared to indicate an issue with that tire. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication. The staff appeared to focus on some existing cosmetic damage to one of the rims and suggested that may have been the cause of the vibration. They also informed me that the problem would not be fully resolved, which left me wondering why the actual source of the vibration was not addressed. The steering wheel shake disappeared for roughly 350 miles after I left, then returned. I understand they were likely trying to help me get home safely, but I left feeling that my concerns were dismissed and that the root cause of the problem was never properly addressed. For an emergency situation where I was relying on their expertise, the communication and diagnosis were disappointing. I do want to add that the staff were very friendly, professional, and quick to help. Given that I was dealing with an unexpected issue while traveling, I appreciated that they got my vehicle into the shop right away and worked to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. My disappointment is not with how I was treated personally, but with the communication and the fact that the underlying issue was not properly identified or resolved.

I drove 30+ minutes to get there only to be greeted by a "Car wash Closed" sign. So, I called and Rod answered. He told me the car wash is closed due to bad weather. It's not even sprinkling out. It's barely "misting". I explained that I had just driven 30+ minutes and everywhere online still says they are "open" and nowhere on their site did it say they close whenever it's even misting outside. He didn't care one bit. I would have been frustrated, but would have taken it a little easier if his attitude was better. He didn't apologize, he had a "yep, we're closed, deal with it" attitude. Then he hung up on me. I called back and told him I didn't appreciate getting hung up on, and he continued with his attitude and kept repeating in a monotone/condescending voice, "how can I help you, sir?". I will be contacting the owners to get a refund on these prepaid washes. What good are they if you can't use them? If they don't refund me, I'll have to submit a chargeback on my credit card. Unless they make things right with me, I will not be going back. Rod single-handedly killed a once loyal customer. --- Update: Melissa, one of the owners of Clear Water called me and made everything right. She apologized and was open to other feedback. She also offered to send me a gift card for the troubles. Although it shouldn't have happened in the first place, they responded very professionally, and I will definitely be giving them another shot. I get home 25 minutes away, open the hatch and the back wasn't even vacuumed, back seat wasn't wiped down. I can be understanding if it was real busy but it wasn't. That means that the people who checked me in and are supposed to do the vacuuming and the people who dry the car and wash the interior windows missed it too. When you pay over $30 for a wash you expect better and I should be able to have confidence it would be done correctly. Almost all the workers were kids maybe there needs to be more supervision. Maybe I'll have to start going to PDQ.

We were unlucky and had a blow out while in Appleton last month. Even luckier the blowout happened on College Ave and Matthews Tire was close by. We called Eric who was closing up after a long day and he offered to wait for us to drive over. He raised the car and determined it was the engine cover that was dragging. He removed it and advised us that we could drive without it but to get it repaired upon our return. I tried to pay him for staying late and helping us out but he would take no money. It's just the way he is. A class act. And I could tell a very successful person given the amount of business he was doing in there and, as I've read, his reputation in the community. And young. Early 30's building his own successful business. Give his establishment a try.

My daughter was pulled over by the sheriff while she had a debilitating headache so she couldn't drive, and the Sheriff called Felix for a tow. The charges for a 13 mile tow and 1.5 days of storage was $354.71. Storage is $55/day, and a day is a minute or 24 hours. When the calendar changes, they charge you $55. They charged my daughter $165 for 36 hours of storage! I would call this taking advantage of helpless people. It's unethical and ridiculous. I would avoid these people at all costs. They should be ashamed, but I'm sure they're not. Stay away from these larcenists--certainly don't call them for a tow unless you want to be extorted to get your car back.

We didn't think we could get that money right away, but figured it out. Called them back to start the repair, which was a timing chain. Told us we wouldn't get the vehicle back til next Tuesday, mind you it is the Friday before Christmas weekend. Called us back a while later and said they were working on it. This was at about 11am, and they close at 3pm. They got it done before 2pm. We had our vehicle before they closed. They also drove us home and back to the shop. The manager made this work and we are very appreciative of his and his crews effort. I highly recommend this shop for any repairs.

Never got a receipt because when the car was ready I called to say I was coming and the guy said he was leaving work and I could give him my debit card number over the phone and he would leave the keys in the car because I had a spare. I noticed almost a week later that there was still an exhaust leak. Called them and got it in a week or so later. They checked it out and told me I have several exhaust leaks and it would cost $1000 to fix the whole exhaust system. Not right at all in my opinion. If you take a vehicle in to get fixed and they charge you but don't fix the issue then that is dishonest!!! I would not recommend them to anyone!!!

After calling AAA who outsource to a towing company (my 2015 Caravan does not have a spare, just a temporary repair kit) that was too busy to tow me, my Daughter-in-law from Mequon arrived. She removed the tire and we drove around the north side of Appleton, and stopped at 4 different places---no one had the time to fix my tire. Rays Tires is across the street from Fleet Farm so we walked in and the guys took care of us!!! Service beyond expectations!!! Chivalry is not dead. I can't say enough about the personal care they offered. I only wish I lived closer so I could always rely on them for Auto care!!!

Two examples of "major issue becomes minor" lead to the 5 star rating. 1. We received 2 quotes for a major amount of engine work and then break work from an official dealership location within eyeshot/walking distance after routine checkups. Ray's Tire provided a 2nd opinion helping us understand what was truly occurring, what was required and other options. $4k in savings between dealership and reality. 18 months later the vehicle in question is running fine despite "impending doom" from said dealership. 2. Our van developed a horrible squealing sound, trouble breaking, turning and driving..nearly overnight. A hickory nut had lodged between parts of the break assembly. Rays removed the offending tree nut and didn't exaggerate any cost at all. Many places...without names...in Appleton..would charge steeply for the simply action taken, and quote 1-2k in unneeded charges just for your trouble. Ray's Tire is truthful, accurate, provides value and quality work.
