We had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Nicole Fox of Vintage Place Settings in Chicago…read more We hired her to provide all decor, design, and table settings for a wedding event at our home and paid $4,000 upfront. Unfortunately, due to COVID-related circumstances, we had to cancel the event about 3-4 weeks in advance. Despite the advance notice, Ashley refused to return any portion of our payment. There was no willingness to offer even a partial refund, credit, or any kind of reasonable accommodation. What made this even more frustrating is that she did not actually lose the date. Our chef ended up using her services that same night for another event, so she still had work and income for that day. Even with that, she still kept the full $4,000 and made no effort to work with us. Communication felt rigid and unhelpful, and the entire situation was handled with little consideration or professionalism. If you are considering working with Vintage Place Settings, make sure you clearly understand the cancellation terms before paying and get everything in writing. Based on our experience, once payment is made, there may be little to no flexibility if plans change. We would not recommend this vendor.

We had placed our deposit just three months ago, and our wedding was still eight months away. Given the long lead time, we politely reached out to see if there was any possibility of receiving even a partial refund. We had to cancel several vendors, and this was the only one that refused to return even a portion of our deposit. Based on other reviews, It seems they provide a good service if you follow through with your booking. However, if there's any chance you may need to cancel, or if you're not 100% certain about using this vendor, proceed with caution.

Lindsay is the DREAM wedding planner. Her creativity along with her ability to truly make a wedding…read morevision come to life, I could not have asked for a more wonderful person to help plan our wedding. She kept us on track, answered a million of our questions and absolutely made our wedding the best. And let me tell you - she planned EVERYTHING. I was a total hands off bride (I think haha) and all it took was a few phone calls, and Lindsay locked in on my vision and brought it all to life. The food, the venues, the videographer, the drinks, flowers, hair & makeup, ALL the details - she nailed it all. When people ask me "what was the one thing that made your wedding amazing and you couldn't live with out?", my answer time and time again is "Lindsay, my wedding planner". Seriously - hire her.

When there was something we didn't love, she had no problem changing it and coming up with new options. Our wedding was gorgeous - the midsummer night's dream vibe we had imagined. She got back to us quickly whenever we had questions, and helped coordinate all our thoughts. She made the planning process a lot easier too, because she knew our vibe, so we didn't have to make every tiny decision, and she helped to coordinate florals, venue, and party bus! Importantly, she did not even blink at our gay wedding. I highly encourage all LGBT+ supportive couples to only choose supportive vendors, and Lindsay was not only supportive, but *excited* to have us as clients. We are also both plus-size brides, and when something made us uncomfortable, she was understanding and comfortable in accommodating us, no problem. Lindsay made the process as painless as possible, and helped us to enjoy our day without being overwhelmed with stress and decisions!

They shared great techniques, creative decorating ideas, and clearly explained the firing process and pickup instructions. The class size was perfect, giving everyone plenty of individual attention while creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The studio is a bit small but and enough space for you to roam about and do your thing. The first step was to handle the clay then they thought us how to handle the wheel and then we got to choose if we wanted a vase, a cup or a bowl. We were in a small group of 6 due to which the teachers could explain and help us well. We ended up upgrading our class to include paint as well as we got to know that without the paint we won't be able to use the things we made of it involves water. My friend made a cute cup and I made a not so cute vase. I would definitely say that but the end of the class, we were rushing a bit and would have appreciated some help and tips from the teachers but we didn't get any. We had to constantly ask about things and where the brushes were and where the paints were. Since it was our first ever class, we would have appreciated a bit more help from the teachers in managing our time and helpful tips on how to glaze correctly instead of having to ask everything ourselves when we are already rushing. Regardless, we had a lot of fun and can't wait to pick up our pieces soon!
