While the technicians were on site, the caretaker asked them to replace a burnt-out indicator bulb, and they refused, stating that we needed to book a separate service appointment (at the same rates) to replace the bulb. We will not be renewing our maintenance contract with them.

But as time has gone on, I am actually really upset ANY company installs these products in towers. We get MONTHLY maintenance on 2x elevators, and yet one always seems to go out of service. Our strata will no long call them afterhours due to the cost of it; and part of my thinks Richmond Elevator makes cheap product so they can service them to death and make their money on service calls. But more than the frequency they break down, I find annoying the fact of how loudly they operate. I wake up from how loudly they run, I heard strained wires/cables, clanking around doors, and what I assume are the brakes all night. I have reported it to my council, but I think the next step is to do a noise test to see if these units even meet the BC building code for noise... Basically, if your developer installs a Richmond Elevator, expect that they have cut corners on everything/

Sometimes they did not do a full days work and somedays, not even there. THE DAY before the inspection the elevator failed. (they must have known it would fail, after all they have done hundreds of old elevators) Nest thing you know they tac on thousands of more dollars to fix the elevator. A 6 week job turned into almost 5 months without an elevator. AND there is two unsupervised guys doodling around, slowly working. This company is not trustworthy

They have left our building with only 1 elevator for over 3 weeks. every time they are supposed to be here fixing something, they find an excuse to leave (I just spoke to our concierge to ask where the KONE PEOPLE ARE because it is Tuesday and we have a note on the broken elevator that the KONE PEOPLE are in today and guess what? THEY LEFT EARLY hahahaa.) or a part that is broken needs to be ordered in. This has been an ongoing situation where they do not have parts available and have to order in which takes WEEKS to come in. Leaving our 30+floor apartment in downtown Vancouver the worst building to live in. My first run in was with an extremely racist and unprofessional individual that tried to rev the KONE service truck into where I was standing with my dog.
