My 2019 Forest River travel trailer developed a crack in the frame where the axle bracket is welded…read moreto the frame. I spent several months going through inspections with their authorized service center and had to wait while Forest River and the frame manufacturer developed a repair plan. In the end, the service center was unable to do the repair and my alternatives were to either drive my trailer to their plant in Indiana or find a local welder. Jeff at Furrion has great reviews and a friend also recommended him. He developed a plan similar to Forest Rivers' and repaired the cracks (he found a crack starting on the opposite axle weld as well) and welded 30 x 4-1/2 inch 1/4 inch plates on both sides of the frame, as well as some 2 x 2 angle iron to reinforce the frame both in front of and behind the axle welds. I am extremely happy with the results of the repair and will not hesitate to have Jeff do any future repairs or fabrication I might need. Forest River has also stepped up and agreed to reimburse me the cost of the repair as it met their plan specifications. I would add that another RV repair shop that does perform welding services refused to even attempt this job. Thanks again Jeff!

I tried to see if I could get a quick weld on the club that fell off, he said...not to be rude but we are booked out until Christmas and there are welders out there with 20 years of experience I won't even hire. Not sure why that comment but he was arrogant, rude and simply not nice. I said well can I show you what I am talking about, he said no I am not going to have someone come in on a Saturday. Then I ask if there is anyone he could recommend and he said no. Here's what is wrong with this type of business owner or manager, it's beneath him to even consider helping, doesn't have the time of day. I try to always seek out local to support our hard working small businesses, it's something very important to me. In his blazing forge and on his ringing anvil, he hammers out a symphony of beautiful handcrafted knives and solid soulful works of iron. He un-self-consciously fits the image to perfection, a large and burly man with a huge gray beard and enormous solid biceps, he appears to have stepped straight out of time. If you want to understand the spirit of the blade, he offers classes in the forging of knives which I found to be rewarding on many levels. He also has a great reputation for teaching children. I can imagine little more exciting and rewarding for a child than to take a class in blacksmithing with Nicholas. It would be something a child would never forget... In fact it was something that I will never forget either.

I had never done any black smithing before and I was worried I would end up with a sad lumpy mess, but Nick is an amazing teacher and really works with you to teach you how to make a knife. I have taken other hands on classes (like glass blowing) where you dont get to actually do anything, but this class you are really learning and getting hands on experience. Because there were 4 of us in the class I was able to start a second knife while the others were using the sander to grind their knives. Nick is obviously super knowledgeable and is happy to explain to you not just how something works, but why. We all walked away with really cool knives and I am looking forward to going back. Upon arrival the Joe, the wonderful lady I spoke with on the phone, came out to meet me and introduced me to their foreman who took the work and did, what I asked, in about 20 minutes, wow. I did not estimate that there was more that needed to be adjusted and had to take it back and again they did the work. I can't tell you how nice it is to have people who are willing to help the locals. Fan forever.
