Wait time at most furniture stores has been 4-6 months, due in part to delays from Covid. They got all the pieces in a bit earlier than expected, and arranged a delivery date the same week. We are so pleased with the quality, and have received several compliments. We visited the store several times before deciding, and each time, the staff was friendly and helpful. We worked mainly with Kristian, who always remembered us from our last visit. They were educated on the products for sale, and made some good recommendations based on what we wanted. This is ridiculous. So, I get a call from the owner telling me he had a warning review for his business. Ohhhh...I gave him 2 stars because of the Loooong wait. 2 stars means....Eh, I've had better. I thought it was a fair review. Anyway, I go rounds and rounds on the phone with the owner about the delivery date. When it was supposed to happen and when it didn't happen. He kept telling me he has it all in his notes when he talked to me and when the table and chairs were supposed to be delivered. I had it all on my calendar too.... when I was expecting the table and chairs. I approved the first 2 delays, but the owner kept telling me it would be only be a week or so after Thanksgiving. I never approved any more delays for the end of December or the new year. Why would I? I needed the table and chairs for the Holiday season. There were more celebrations in December for me than just Christmas. Ohhh yeah... and I did cancel my order on December 12th. I also asked to get my deposit of $250.00 back. The owner agreed. I have no clue why he is saying I was just "considering" cancelling the order when I actually did. Funny thing is, I found a table and chairs on Amazon. I was about to purchase the set.... but then I received another phone call from the owner saying he had good news. He was getting the table and chairs on 12/14. I already told him earlier that my hubby was coming in to get the refund, so I was a bit taken back by the call. He said he could get it delivered THURSDAY or FRIDAY. Well...I thought ok...It would be nice to get the table and chairs at least by Friday for my anniversary. I have no clue why is the owner stating we agreed on Friday 12/21 or Sat 12/22? I never agreed on Saturday.... but I never had a choice since I got a call from another guy saying he could ONLY deliver on SAT at 3:30pm. Ughhhh.... Not sure why this owner is making false statements. I really wanted to buy local, but this whole thing is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Lesson learned. At least Amazon is hassle free. Bruce was absolutely amazing. Wife and I purchased a bedroom set (A-America Brand) that is stunning. Although shipping took a while for the different parts, that's not on Bruce or his team, as they were communicative, empathetic, and very proactive in keeping us informed of progress. After delivery we realized there was a problem using the King bed with our adjustable bed bases. Bruce came out like a super-hero and brainstormed a solution which made my wife happier than ever (which of course is good for me!) We are definitely customers for life now. Customer Service...what a joke!!! Purchased a special order headboard, chest of drawers and nite stand all in white for bedroom and had delivery date set up. I found I needed another table for the living room and went to store the nite before the planned delivery of bedroom furniture the next day. Thought I could get a table and add to delivery of next day and that happened until the next morning when they called to say the box with table to be assembled was damaged and it would take 3 weeks to get another in and then I would have to pay an additional delivery charge....WHAT? Not my fault but I have to pay more. I could not wait 3 weeks (and did not want to pay another delivery charge) so I cancelled table and was credited. They delivered the next day the bedroom furniture to my new empty apt that i had no bed frame or mattress in yet. When my bed frame and mattress was going to be delivered 5 days later I moved the headboard off one wall to other side of room and found a 1/2" dent in top edge of headboard. I was told this was a hard wood and yet what I saw was not from moving but from something sharp leaning against headboard for quite awhile. The delivery drivers who work for company take the plastic wrap off items but do not check for damage and we were all distracted talking about the table problem from earlier in the morning that they knew about. I had no idea that I should check every part of an item for delivery and they do not tell you to before you sign for it. I called Henry, the owner, and he had me take pictures of damage and I also talked to him about the difference of white colors between the pieces. IF I order a special order all white furniture you would think they would match. Bright white headboard and creamy off white nite stand and chest looks so wrong. Well you know this is in the contract that they do not guarantee that. The company that made the special order headboard refused that they did the damage and so did Henry. I was left with a headboard with damage and the wrong color white. Henry did offer me a store credit but I have no need for more furniture and do not trust that an item will not have damage or I will have additional delivery charges. Why should I give him more business. As is I have to find someone to fix the damage and repaint the headboard. I started out happy with purchase, service, and store but was left disappointed, feeling ripped off and unhappy. A store should look out for its customers and not blame them for their poor policy of not checking products and not use the excuse that they are a small store and cannot afford to write off mistakes. Needless to say I will not be returning to this store or the manufacturer of the furniture to buy more of the set (secret drawer). read more

I can't say enough good things about the customer service at this place. I looked high and low for a new dresser and wanted to buy it at an adult type store instead of ikea of Ashley furniture. I'm glad I did! The dresser I ordered arrived already put together! Hallelujah. After two weeks though I noticed the finish was chipping. The owner Bruce was so patient with me while I decided if I wanted to touch up the chips or exchange it for something else. I ended up exchanging it and they turned a bad experience into a good one and I will now be a life long customer. I bought a bed, dresser, and nightstands from them back in 2013. The other day, when we were replacing our floors, we had to move our bed and couldn't get it back together. I went down to Vancouver Woodworks today to get some help. The guy who sold us the set was still working there! He pulled our file, found the model of the bed (which they still sold), and came up to my house to fix it for a very reasonable fee. This is my favorite store in town. I've been shopping here for about 13 years or so and have made several purchases. Always with the best, no pressure customer service. We recently purchased a large desk and needed to wait for carpet to be installed for the delivery, they were more than happy to work with us and the desk was delivered as the carpet installers were leaving. While the sleigh bed I ordered from a catalog was beautiful, I must say that I was disappointed to learn that the bed had been shipped directly from Vietnam and the backside of the headboard was left unfinished. You can really tell that Bruce loves his work and loves his furniture, describing the wood grains as "just beautiful" and telling you to "feel the quality of" whatever. When I put my hand to the wood, it did feel surprisingly smooth! He could have just let me buy the most expensive option (which I did), but after he already had my sale, he called me up to tell me about another option that would have saved me a good chunk of money. Delivered a dining room table, but upon arrival *they* pointed out a tiny flaw we wouldn't have noticed for weeks or more. They told us to keep the table and they would have a new one made, then come back and swap it out. Two weeks later, they arrived with a new table. This time I was careful to be sure. I found another minor flaw on the table and a couple of chairs. They immediately apologized profusely and promised they would get us the perfect set. While we waited for a new table and chairs, the owner called to apologize for their mistakes, saying how terribly embarrassed he was. We went here first and never went anyplace else. It's a family business, run by Bruce and Kate, with assists from other members of their family. I was interested in a set that was not in the showroom, so Bruce ordered a nightstand in the collection so I could see it. When it came, I ordered the whole set, with a modest down payment. Bruce then kept in touch with me every week to let me know the status of my order. The set was delivered today by the owners' son, even earlier than they promised it. I came here as a last ditch effort, never expecting the tiny mom and pop on the corner to have it if no one else did. To my surprise, when I described what I wanted to Bruce, he flipped right to it in one of his catalogs and said he could have it for me in a couple of weeks. He also gave me a great deal even though he knew my budget was a little higher. He could have easily quoted me a higher price and I would've been none the wiser. When we opened up the table, there was some shipping damage and Bruce came to our house the same day to inspect it. When the replacement part came he came to our house again to install it. So I came in looking to find a nightstand that matched my bed frame color and something to display my DVDs. I think the owners are a husband and wife team. I believe the husband is the one that greeted me and offered assistance. I told him what I was looking for and he walked me over to the right area and showed me what they had. He was super nice and knowledgable and was able to answer all my questions. I asked him about delivery and he said they could but that the two items I picked should probably fit in my car. So I said I'd pick it up the next day. Well come to find that the bookcase I bought to display my DVDs just BARELY didn't fit in my car. Well at this time I was dealing with the wife and she offered to deliver it to me the next day which they don't really normally do. So she went out of her way to help me out.
