Purchased a dining table and chair set. Was never called or notified that it had arrived, I called to check in a week and a half later. When we arrive to pick it up, they only had the table and 2 out of the 6 chairs for us. I guess they were planning on giving us the 4 chairs that they had already set in their clearance section when we had paid for the all new set. I was impressed with the selection and a wide range of affordable choices for me. I have bought furniture here before and was aware of the "no pressure sales" which I love! After heading back to the mattress section and trying out several mattresses I went to the main desk and summoned help. A lovely lady named Gabby Bome was there to guide me through and answer my many questions about quality of the mattresses and gave me her input as to which of my choices was the best for me in her opinion. She has been an employee there for several years and she certainly knows her stuff! I decided on a mattress and then she helped me order a platform frame which I absolutely love also! I got a great price for the two pieces and the pick up of my old mattress and set up of the frame and mattress was seamless. Jordan and Trevor were most accommodating and professional just like Gabby! We previously purchased a matching Stanton chair and sofa for our family room from Furniture World. They are well built, attractive, and comfortable. A few months ago, we decided that we would like an additional matching chair. Bradlee took care of us -- we are so happy with his customer service and with our new chair! It matches our other chair and couch, so the dye lots don't look different. If you're looking for furniture, Bradlee is the person to see. We will be returning to him to buy new living room furniture. I must mention that the Stanton warranty is amazing -- we heard some squeaking in the couch a few months after we bought it. Bradley sent Big Sky (the authorized Stanton warranty repair company ), and the problem was resolved. It's good to know that Stanton honors their warranty. The worse experience for my poor mother in law. First of all; do not let Brian assist you. She purchased a bed, dresser, night stand, tv stand, dining room set and love seat. The only item we were told might be on back order was the tv stand. Delivery day and no night stand, tv stand or dresser. They were all left off the order. The bed was put together and the underneath drawers were jammed in and the knobs were left on the inside. Called up and they said over a week to get the remaining items as they were never ordered. Delivery day arrives, the dresser is missing a handle and no night stand. How difficult is this? Write up order and deliver with all the items and all the pieces. We were going to order some furniture ourselves until this happened. Oh and every delivery is charged a new delivery charge. My poor mother in law; she just wanted some nice furniture. read more

I ordered a couch and love seat in December. The couch arrived in January but the love seat has not. I have been waiting on it since then. They keep giving me a load date and delivery date that at this point has changed 5 times at least. No explanation, more like "tough shit" responses from the associates every time that I call with no offer of resolution or even a partial refund for the inconvenience. I will be posting my review everywhere that I can to warn as many people as I can. They also mysteriously "lost" my friends' couches who bought theirs the same day. My husband and I have made numerous purchases at Furniture World over the last 6 months and we were quite impressed with the saleman John and his eagerness to help us find the right furniture for our new home. We also were impressed with the delivery of our furniture by Rueben. UPDATE: Unfortunately, we had a small problem with our leather couch. After only a month, most of the stuffing on the back rests of our couch started to clump up in one area and it fell to the bottom of the couch. I notified Furniture World in January and I sent them pictures of the sagging and Christine told me she would order more stuffing and she would send someone out to repair the cushions. It is now March and I'm still getting the run around. After 9 days of waiting, I contacted Christine and she told me she forgot to order the stuffing, then 10 days later, she said the stuffing was sent to their other store, and the last few times I spoke with her she insisted that "my cat" must have damaged the cushion. Well I've never owned a cat in my entire life so that definitely isn't the reason for the sagging. The last time I spoke to Christine was 5 days ago when I called for the 4th time and she promised to call me on Thursday and that she'd finally get this taken care of but it's now Saturday and still no call. UPDATE: Furniture World finally sent a company out to our home to stuff our couch. They did an amazing job! read more

She just sold her home of 45 year and decided that since that house and land was too much for her to keep up on that she needed to down size. My mom went in there Aug 11th 2015 to buy all new furniture for her new place. she went with a friend and her niece. She worked with John on getting her new furniture for her place. Everything was great until the day that the new furniture was to arrive. John called and said that the delivery wasn't going to happen because the kitchen table and chairs was not in. I told him to go ahead and deliver everything that that we would wait on the kitchen table and chair set. We have caught John in several lies. 1) He told us that he tried calling my mom and that he left her a message. I asked him "what number did you call?" he told us.. I said " Interesting, and you left a message?" he said "yes" I stated " how did you do that if that number is no longer in service?" He changed the subject... 2) He told us that the table set that my mom had ordered had a sold sign on it when she bought it.. That's NOT true either.. my moms friend and niece was there the day that she purchased that table set and there was NO sold sign on it... 3) He comes up with excuses on top of excuses of why that set is not here yet.. now he's claiming that it has been in California and they can't get a truck to haul it here... This is absolutely the worse service that we have ever had to deal with.. My mom is beside herself, upset, and having anxiety because like I said she is elderly and she has no where to lay out her bills and decide what needs to be paid.. Its not like that she can sit on the floor to figure everything out. Not only that. She had out of town company staying with her.. And for all meals they went out to eat or went over to another relatives house for dinner and my mom would make the dinner and pack everything up to take it over there... imagine how hard that is on an elderly woman that needs a knee replacement surgery. And John was fully aware that my mom was having company before hand because we went in there and we both told him. This has been going on for right at 2 months now.. And she asked him if he could compensate her for this whole thing and maybe throw in a ottoman or take something off of her bill.. he said that he wont throw in and ottoman and that he would only take $67.00 off of her bill... Well I should say this she bought ALL of her furniture there so her bill wasn't cheap, she spent a lot of money there... I wont ever go back there and wont refer anyone to them.. they better get the fixed soon!!!!! read more

After filing a complaint with the BBB, I received a call from the owner apologizing for all that had happened. She was very kind, and felt bad about how my complaint was initially handled. I was given a full refund, and was told the store would come to my home to pick up the bunkbed. Although I am satisfied with the result of my complaint, I am still hoping they will make their refund policy better defined for future customers. read more

Be very careful about understanding the different colored tags on the furniture. I spent a long time finding my new sectional, bed frame, and dining room table here, after much consideration. The salesman was personable and helpful and explained the many colored tags, and the green tags as being clearance or one of a kind. I settled on a nice corner three piece sectional that was marked down $300 from 1K as I am on a starting over budget. I thought I thoroughly inspected it and found it intact, in great shape. Since this was a no refund/return purchase (green tag), I was okay with my decision. However, the big problem was obvious when it was all delivered. There was a coin sized gouge in the upper back on the end, where it is obvious, and it had not been there, or pointed out to me, in the showroom. I was upset and called the store, where the man on the phone was beligerant and unfriendly and told me that the green tag meant it was defective and that the gouge was always there. He was supposedly the best customer service person, and my original salesman was out of the store. Anyway, the short story is that I have bought a nice, new, expensive to me piece of furniture with an ugly gouge in the fabric, and it had never been pointed out or mentioned in the store. It is all unethical behavior, and that's not cool. We've bought many pieces here over twenty years, but I won't be going back. read more

I walked into the store, and within just a few minutes was greeted by CJ. He showed me the area of the warehouse that I was interested in, and then left me alone. By the way, their warehouse is HUGE! They have so many styles of so many things (couches, chairs, kitchen/dining room furniture, etc...) How refreshing not to have someone breathing down your neck! When I found the dinette set I wanted, he didn't try to talk me into a more expensive set, instead he pointed out the details of the set that I chose... Again, so nice to have someone accept your decision and not try to sell you something more (in cost) than what you wanted. I will definitely come back to them once I buy a house and need to furnish it. I highly recommend them! read more

I walked into the store. It wasn't busy. A saleswoman looked at me and then walked backed to the desk. Didn't even greet me. I walked around for a bit. Finally, a woman behind the desk asked if she could help. I told her yes, I am looking for something specific. A recliner, preferable a 'wall hugger' and perhaps a 'chair and a half'. She shook her had and basically said no way. Directed me to the more than 200 chairs in their chair room. Was not available to answer any questions or to assist me in any way. I finally walked out and no one even looked my way. Too bad for them. I was a serious buyer, who was willing to pay cash. I won't be going back. Horrible customer service! I waited 4 months for my couch and when it arrived it was the wrong couch. my brother wasted his time and rented a trailer to pick up the couch , only to have been given the incorrect couch. Also when he went to pick up the couch the store had unloaded The couch onto the showing floor :( which I had asked when we first saw the couch if we could but the floor model and they said no, which was a lie since they put mine on the floor. when I got the wrong couch I called them to see what we could do. They said they could come back and pick up the couch and I said that could not work as that would leave me with out a couch for another month and half until they got the correct one. I asked for a discount and I would keep the one I had.. they offered my $50 credit and I thought that was a joke. They called back they next day and said the owner said either they would come get it or offered me $100 and I said that was not good enough and they don't care I would be with out a couch. They lady I talked to was so rude every time I talked to her and was not giving good service. they tried to say she Would not get commission for the couch and they could loose money , which is not my problem as the customer at all. I do not think they offered good enough discount for the inconvience, the wasted time and the horrible service from the store. They settled for 200 credit which I feel like was not good enough at all for paying almost 1000 for a wrong couch. they were more concerned about their finances then making sure the customer was happy. And on top of it the couch stitching is already coming out and disappointed in the quality of that. I wish I would have been treated better and as customer and less like a paycheck I would think twice about going to this place when you will not received good service or any sympathy if anything goes wrong and the owner will not step up when needed either as I asked to speak them and was handed off to some else I will lastly say that I never blamed them for the mistake and mistakes do happen but they needed to try harder to make a customer happy and not be as concerned with if they were to loose any money read more

I stopped by here a few months ago in search of a sofa and loveseat. This place is DARK with strange lighting--which makes it difficult to see the fabric colors. The sales person told me to take the large fabric sample book to the door to see it better-- hello, outside lighting is not the same as indoor home lighting! I was told that they don't lend samples from their big book. One must find the sample on their small sample "lending" rack-- on which I found only 2 of the 6 samples that I liked! No way was I buying a fabric sofa based on their lighting. You need to let people borrow from the big sample book if the fabric isn't on your lending rack!! You lost a customer. read more

Awful experience. I was told so many lies when I ordered my new couch. Then the couch comes over a MONTH late, wrong pillows, and the worst is it's not even the size Christine "gabby" told me it was. The sales folks are friendly, don't hound you while you shop, but are helpful when you need them. They have always worked with us on pricing, which helps us get the best deal. We've compared their prices to elsewhere in the area and Furniture World has ALWAYS won. Our first purchase was a set of Ashley couches, the second a dining room table, and recently the third of an Ashley sectional. We were able to take home all three purchases same-day, which tickled me. Don't bother heading to the Ashley store in Jantzen Beach - these guys have the SAME furniture at MUCH lower prices. They screwed up the bed order delivering a TOTALLY different bed (wrong color & style) when we went to the store to get it fixed he just semi-threatened to take it all back, REALLY?! Also, it didnt have slats so the mattress that was ordered would require a boxspring which While i was waiting for them to figure out their mistake, some people were wandering waiting for their salesperson who was with someone else (it looks like they came back from a previous visit), the sales gusy goes, "oh, you dont need him I will take much better care of you than he will... (wow). They ended up making it sort of right by just giving us the boxspring for free and they didnt even ring it up (which also means no warranty) and just told us to come to the loading bay and handed us the boxspring... They may have fair deals but personally i would never shop here, i just couldnt trust them... lets just say cheaper is not always better. read more

I went in on a Saturday and fell completely in love with a couch and matching chair that were on clearance. They were in perfect shape considering they had been on the floor for a while. I quickly purchased them and said I would pick them up in a few days, mostly because I thought $70 was too high to deliver 2 miles away. I went on Wednesday a few days later to get my furniture and the chair has a rip on the arm. When I brought it to the attention of the warehouse guy, his response was "What do expect when you buy clearance items?" Uhh, I expect them to be in the same condition as when I purchased them 4 days ago. Thank god I spent the money on the protection plan. We'll see how that goes. Pay attention because they sure don't. My wife and I picked out a bed and dresser here. We walked to the desk and found a salesperson, walked with her to the bed, pointed at the bed and said "how much does this bed cost?" She wrote down the price. I then ordered the bed and dresser. Weeks later, way longer then quoted, the bed...well a bed, shows up. Part of the bed we had ordered, the show room one had side storage, the one that showed up did not. The manager tells me that the storage is extra and I would have to pay extra for it... and wait 10 days for it to ship. I don't know how I could have been clearer then pointing at the bed on the show room floor and saying "this" but I guess that's my fault. Not impressed. read more
