Dr. Chang is not a doctor you ever want to see but if you need to see this sort of doctor, he's the only one you want. Does that make sense? Read it over and see if it does. I'm pretty sure it does but I'll wait. It does? Okay. Cool. No one wants to go to the urologist. But, bodies age and parts do weird things. When they do, you want the best of the best making sure everything is okay. Dr. Chang is, both, very smart and extremely personable. These are very good qualities in a physician. His intellect is what you want when it comes to making diagnoses, discerning what's happening in a situation and having the expertise to handle things with as little muss and fuss as possible. His people skills are evidenced in a mix of humor and straight-forwardness. He knows no one wants to see the urologist so he does what he can to relate to you as an individual who just might be a wee* bit freaked out. From the examination room to the procedure, Dr. Chang had a steady hand, rock solid staff, relaxing, engaging tone, all the information you'd want/need, and the prowess to make an awkward/frightening experience into one you can get through. I did as much research as I could before heading to the doctor. Everything I read about Dr. Chang put me at ease. Knowing that he's friends with my GP (who is super awesome!) put me at ease. In case you're looking for a doctor and don't know where to turn, I leave this review to let you know to look for Dr. Chang. When you need a urologist, you're going to want the best. Since she retired, though, it's been really frustrating. Now I can only get appointments with a physician assistant. I recently tried to move my Friday appointment in May to something sooner, but no one answered the phone and my voicemail wasn't returned. I called again today, left another message, and finally got a callback. When I asked to see a doctor instead of the PA, I was told I have to see the PA first before I can even get scheduled with a doctor. I was also told the PA is only in the office Monday through Wednesday. Then when I asked how I somehow have a Friday appointment in May, I found out it's actually at the Franklin office--which no one mentioned when it was booked. On top of that, the online scheduling tool only shows PAs, not doctors, and the one I'm scheduled with doesn't even publish her schedule online in the booking tool. At this point, I'll be finding a different urologist. I just want to be able to schedule with a doctor without jumping through hoops or wasting extra time and money.

When I called LabCorp, they said they didn't even have the referral or the order sent to them. Now I have to follow back up with Female Urology a third time when they didn't do their job in the first place. I have come to the conclusion that based on conversations, the staff just want to get off the phone with you. Hardly a way to run a business.

Ended up seeing a NP who was less than helpful. 2nd appointment - got to see Dr. Knoll who kept me waiting in the exam room for 30 minutes. When he DID show up he was extremely hurried, spent little to NO time answering my questions, gave a flippant response to the condition I was seeing him for and hurriedly walked out while I was trying to ask him a question. 3rd appointment (today) - 1 month follow up (supposed to be a virtual one) to last appointment. Responded to 2 texts, answered the questions the text link led me to, followed the prompt that informed me "I would be receiving a call (for my 9:50 appointment) shortly. After waiting 20 minutes I finally called the office to inquire why I haven't received a call. The person who answered the phone contacted Dr. Knoll and told me he would be calling me "in between surgeries" and continued by telling me the appointment timeframe was between 10:00 and 2:00. When I asked why I was given a 9:50 appointment that I confirmed TWICE and no attempt was made to let me know that it was just a "placeholder" I was told "he will call between surgeries" and to answer my phone even if it came from a "strange number" as he isn't sure where he'll be when he calls. 4th appointment - ANYWHERE other than this Dr. and this clinic. For the record I do NOT exaggerate my reviews when I make them. Every word, timeframe I mention in this post and experiences shared are 100% accurate and I will be happy to speak with Dr. Knoll and anyone else in their office who chooses to take the time to speak with me to stand behind my statements. Wouldn't honor agreement with their Cigna contract to not collect deductibles up front. I was informed the day of the procedure I would have to pay the entire bill upfront. On top of all that, when I got home and recovered fron the anesthesia, I discovered I'd been given some other guy's receipt! Completely Incompetent!
