Please do not do to Dr. Fijman. She misdiagnosed me about 5 years ago, loaded me on medications…read morethat made me gain weight, made my hair fall out and changed my skin and made me more depressed and far worse than before I stepped foot into her door. After trying everything, she yelled and berated me and said that I must not be following treatment properly and dumped me as her patient. Fast forward to today, I have a completely different psychiatrist in a different practice who properly diagnosed me, treats me with respect, listens, has compassion, doesn't like to over medicate unlike Fijman. I'm a completely different person for the better since she "dumped" me. The only thing that should be dumped here is her license to practice. It has literally taken years for me to have the courage to write this. She really has had a negative impact not only on my life, my by family as well. PS- she also accused me of being promiscuous and loved to highlight my insecurities. she's a real gem

I think knowing what you're getting into with Achieve Medical Center can help manage expectations…read more My provider here manages medication treatment and the clinical side to therapy so I know what I'm getting with him. For talk therapy and CBT, which I believe is an incredibly crucial aspect, I see a therapist at a different location altogether and I love her so much. But here, I'm seen solely for medication treatment and management, and I'm okay with that. I have read so many poor reviews about the receptionist staff so that is what truly prompted me to write about my own personal experience. I don't want to take away from anyone else's experience, but I think it's fair to sprinkle some good here, too. All of the ladies I have spoken with over the phone have generally been pretty helpful, but I got to say that Erica has truly gone above and beyond to help me. I was having some billing issues that I wasn't made aware of right away which resulted in a delay of my treatment. I was anxious to get it resolved ASAP and Erica could sense that. So instead of telling me to just wait for the billing department to call me back like she could have, she placed me on hold, called the billing department herself, and made sure it got resolved right then and there. Before coming back to me, she took it a step further and contacted my provider to get my treatment back on track and medications prescribed right away. It didn't take much for her to do that, but it meant everything to me so I thought it would be fair to highlight her here.

I went to the Express care the other day and was advised to go to the ER, which I did. A CT scan…read morewas done, and I was told by the ER to follow up within a few days with my primary care physician (who is wonderful) who works out of this facility. Her next appointment is April 7! Why would I have to wait until April 7 for her to review what might be a potentially serious condition? A virtual visit was available Feb 4! I had to insist to the phone receptionist to send an urgent message to the office to try and fit me in somehow- This is unacceptable to me. It looks like I will now have to find another primary provider...disappointing... I have been very frustrated trying to find medical care in the San Diego area.

I came in after feeling very sick for a few days and was met with a condescending attitude. Whenever I asked a question, Stephanie seemed bothered and would respond with "like I said," when I was just trying to clarify and ensure I understood. She also told me I was "young and would recover fine," multiple times. I find this upsetting as being young is not a reason for my questions to be dismissed. If so, there should be lower copays for "young people." I calmly let her know how I felt and explained I came to her for her expertise not to be treated this way. This only made her more upset as she repeatedly stated " I don't know what you want me to say, I already apologized." Overall, Stephanie was incapable of listening to my medical questions, or my need to be treated with kindness, which I don't think it's much to ask for. She also let me know she was really busy and had many patients to see. I have a lot of empathy for healthcare workers and understand that this is a busy season. Nonetheless, I am still paying to be seen. If there is no room for questions during express visits, it should be advertised that you will not be allowed to speak.

Dear AFC Urgent Care,…read more On July 8, 2026, at 7:15 pm, I scheduled an appointment with Urgent Care for my husband, who had been ill for approximately one week with flu symptoms, including cough, congestion, headache, body aches, and episodes of sweating. The nurse or medical assistant--I'm not sure of his title since he didn't inform us--took my husband's vital signs without wearing a mask and was seen coughing into his hand. Additionally, he did not wash his hands before or after taking my husband's vital signs. My husband's vital signs were normal. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) examined my husband's ears, throat, and chest. She acknowledged his reported symptoms but did not report any concerns after completing her physical assessment and interview. She did not order or perform a nasal swab, draw blood, collect a urine sample, or conduct a chest X-ray. Instead, she performed an EKG, which was reported as normal. Unfortunately, my husband did not receive a diagnosis or prescription. He was advised to go to the emergency room for blood work and a chest X-ray. We believe that the care he received was inadequate and that the EKG was unnecessary. I had informed the NP that my husband had recently undergone a full workup with a cardiologist, which revealed no concerns. Additionally, my husband informed the NP that he had not and was not experiencing any chest pain.
