I received another Safety Recall Reminder from Nissan and called to make an appt with Vann York. I spoke twice (once with Brooklyn and another time with Johnathan). We discussed the fact that I received a recall notification and I gave them ALL the info on the notice. Not once was I told that this recall was already taken care of on my last visit to Nissan. I drove 30 minutes to the dealership only to be told my vehicle did NOT need to be serviced. When I communicated that I had confirmed the call with CS I was told that they cannot see the info on my acct regarding this information. Gas is not cheap and neither is my time. Puzzled at 8.10 I called service number and got recording that I could not schedule service as they were not open. So, I assumed they are serious about not starting till 9am. When I arrived at 9am they were very busy and asked if I had an appointment and I explained my effort in trying to do so. It took 1 hr and 45 minutes to finish inspection. It was listed on Carfax as having no accidents and three dealerships have said that there has been front end damage, plus it has transmission problems. I've received trade-in offers of $1000 for a car I paid $10,000 for and have driven less than 3,000 miles. Brought the car in for service for same problem three times in the first month. Talked to other customers in the waiting room. It seems that if the car is out of warranty, they find all kinds of problems, and if it's still under warranty, they can't find anything wrong. This place is unbelievable. Before I start MY personal experience I would like to share an experience of a lady I was waiting with for a recall on her car. After her repair was complete the Service Rep Ameer came out and advised this customer there was a hole in her gas pan she needed to repair for an astronomical price. She was so upset bc the fact was she had always done all maintenance thru VannYork. Ameer explained it came from "over tightening" I thought Wow! Wouldn't that be on them? Concerned and alert at this point now. Now, here I am several months later. I went in for a quote just to tack up a small corner of an accessory on the car and Ameer tried to convince me I needed to replace the part bc it was completely ripped off.. there was NO POSSIBLE way I could've driven my car 30 miles if the front was ripped completely off.. either it wouldn't have been there or it would've been dragging under the car. He gave me a price to replace the entire part plus labor, around $450. Ok, what kind of fool do you think I am AMEER? I left and went to Carolina Nissan where I am a new customer. They simply PUSHED the side into socket, right on the spot. It didn't even need the tacks/hooks, it was pushed out of place. I received my jeep August 19th,2025, not 2 days later I had to put a new battery in it advanced auto tech said it was a trash battery, middle of Sept I had the system flushed because it wasn't heating right. Fast forward to now oct 25th,( just past the 2 month mark) I was coming home at 430am and it started over heating ( my idea of over heat is anything past middle where it normally sits) pulled over got it cooled off added water got it home, tow truck driver came out the Wednesday after to take it to HIS Performance in Rockwell nc, when he cranked it to put it on the flat bed, huge thick cloud of white sweet smelling smoke rolled out the exhaust, I emailed the owner Wednesday, I emailed the gm Scott, sales Darrell, finance Angel on Thursday and Friday, I am yet to hear back from any of them, talked to the mechanic on Fri Oct 31,2025 he said that the motor was bad before I bought it( one of the reason it took me so long to get it(started the buying process the 1st wk in Aug) is because they had to change the water pump per Darrell), it has been found so far to have piston 2 and 3 with pressure piston 3 is burning antifreeze , there's a blown head gasket, they are going to start the checks on Monday looking for a cracked head and block. Save yourself time money and a headache. They avoid when called in sept when i would text call or email it would take days if i get anything back at all, the owner left a comment on the review i did on google saying i was offered a motor quote at diagnosistics, they havent seen or touched my jeep since i took possession Aug 19th so how did the diagnosis it, someone lied to him, the motor was bad when they sold it and they knew it. your service dept is terrible ,just on my last 2 oil changes alone as comparision,my car is a 2016 maxima sr with 30k miles. i look at the multi point inspection sheets and see that your guys dont inspect anything and just check boxes i have the same mileage on 2 different sheets although my mileage is 5k different.the current oil change sticker does not match anything.some yellows turned green by themselves, my tire tread went from 8/32 to 13/32?my fluids are still low after they suppose to top off i asked that my loose washer fluid container get fixed several times and you always say its suppose to be loose like that?so no fluid stays in it which you suppose fixed it this time (again) but didnt. i paid for a tire repair that still leaks and all a sudden has a nail it ,just so you can upsale me a $260 tire .i have had bad experiences in the past and i hoped it would get better but this time took the cake my vehicle performance and safety is at stake and i put my trust in your nissan techs to protect and work on my vehicle otherwise what is the point of the dealer working on my car read more

My son and his fiancé took her vehicle to Vann York Nissan to have the transmission looked at mid-April. They had a lady Leslie Smith that was helping them out on it. They kept in for about a week or two and told them it was ready to go, when they went to get the SUV, they were charged $1887.78 before they even got out of the parking lot the engine light came on, they didn't do anything to the transmission, they did the intake boots and throttle body, intake manifold and gasket. Again, nothing with the transmission, the SUV was running fine before they took it to them, no problems. Now I know that high dollar machine that the dealership has can tell more than our code reader does. They must not have put this one on the machine. Everything on the paperwork about the car was correct and my son's name was correct, but the address was not even nowhere near his address. So that is another screw up. They turned the SUV around and took it back and parked it. They told them that Leslie was out on vacation and that Brandon Berrier the Service Manager took over the repairs since she was on vacation, and Nathan the service tech did the repairs. They told them that they didn't know what was wrong with it and that they would be contacting the corporate office to see if they had any ideas of what it could be. They have had it for the second time for a month and this whole time they have not done anything at all they even claim they are still trying to contact the corporate office to see what they think. Keep in mind they are still tell them that Leslie is on vacation. Now they went back to get the SUV , the SUV would not start, and all of a sudden, they are telling them the transmission has gone out on it. My question is if you haven't touched the vehicle in over a month how do you know what is wrong with it? Leslie Smith was back, and they found out that she wasn't on vacation, it sounds like she quit and then came back from the conversation. She also stated that since she had gotten back, they had had 3 other people to bring back their vehicles that day because they were not fixed like they were supposed to be. Brandon and Nathan is now saying that it needed a transmission all along, now if you have been paying attention to what I put on this email, they supposedly was contacting the corporate headquarters to see what they thought was wrong with it, and on top of that didn't even do anything or say anything about the transmission be bad the first time or second time. They couldn't pick up the SUV because the battery was dead (it had a new battery in it when they took it up there to be fixed) so which really tells me they haven't touched it the whole month or more that they have had it. Leslie told them that she was going to talk to her boss Cory Thomas (General Manager for Vann York) and see if she could get their $1887.78 refunded since they replaced something that may not have even needed it and did nothing for the problem that the vehicle was brought to them for. They quoted him another amount for the transmission of over $6200.00 and told him he had to pay $4000.00 up front. Now let's go to last week, my husband and my son's fiancé went back and was just going to pick it up and bring it home. They were told again by Leslie that she was still trying to get their money back, and she was going to try to give them a car loaner , but with everything going on they were afraid they would be charged for it, so they declined. Brandon and Nathan came out and talked to them without Leslie and my husband said that you could tell they were nervous (shaking) and appeared not to be telling the truth, they told them the transmission was out all along. Again, why would you do all this work (if they even did it) to a vehicle that you knew their owner may not want done due to the transmission (if it is bad)???? My husband told him to get a quote on a new transmission and a used transmission and they would be back later to get it. Leslie says that she is still trying to get them a full refund . And the SUV is still there and now Nission has refused to do anything and Vann York still has not contacted us at all. Against my better judgment (due to their current rating of 2.5 stars) I scheduled an appointment for service for my 2016 Rogue that I purchased from another dealership. When scheduling my appointment, I advised the person on the phone that all service to my vehicle is covered under the service contract I pay for each month as part of my car payment. Plus, it's still under full warranty for another 22,500 miles. When I arrived and checked in for the 75,000 service, they said it would cost me $149.99. I said no because of what I stated above. I also told them I was quite annoyed that they did not confirm the information I gave them and they expected me to perform their duties by calling to verify the service contract. I left the lobby, called the Nissan dealership where I purchased my vehicle and they told me to go to them so they could service my vehicle. When we were in the dealership signing paperwork, they were cleaning the car up for us, as it had a little normal dust on it, from sitting outside. Soooooo.......we finished the paperwork and off we went in my new car......well, on the way home my husband wanted to stop by Burger King to grab a sandwich, he was on his bike, so I followed him....well, I got out of my car, so that I could put his Helmet in the back (so he would not have to carry it in with him) Well, as I was walking around the car, I noticed a scratch, well naturally, I then done a thorough inspection of the exterior of the car and there were scratches all over it........This is a BRAND NEW car with 5 miles.....So of course, I was furious.....I immediately called the dealership and they said to bring it in the next day, since it was closing time for them. I took it in the next day and they tried to buff the scratches out, but they would not come out, so off it went to the bodyshop....well, it was there a few days (they gave it back to me in between, but the scratches were still visible, so they took it back to work on it more) Anyways, to make a long story short, Walter at VANN YORK was very courteous and great to work with......He was very sincere in saying that he wanted me to be happy with my purchase and he did what it took to make certain I was happy. I accepted the car after the repairs on the paint, but there are still small scratches on the vehicle, but I decided I would just live with those.....because I did not want to be so picky that I get another car and end up with potentially more problems.......The vehicle is black and from my understanding, the paint on black vehicles tend to show scratches alot more than other colours...... I can't say I am 100% happy about the situation, because of the scratches that are still there.......You do have to look very closely to see them..........but I can say that I am 100% happy with the customer service that I received......... Horrible. Do not trust!! My girlfriend bought a 2011 Dodge Nitro from them in July. 8 days later, the check engine light comes on and throws a P303 (Cylinder 3 misfire). After taking it to my mechanic, they also find two tires in bad condition, the rear shocks leaking, a bad coil pack (the cause of the check engine light), and the spark plugs needed to be replaced... None of these issues, mind you, we're mentioned by the salesman or mechanic at Vann York. She had to drive 5 hours home with these issues and take it to the service center. The service manager looked at the report from my mechanic and said there were no issues with the spark plugs and he will investigate the engine issue. To our surprise, it was a broken spark plug that caused this whole mess in the first place. At this point, we want nothing to do with Vann York, so after 10 days of owning the car, she wanted her money back. We don't trust them, especially the service center... Lord knows what else gets overlooked. But now they won't even take the car back!! They said she could trade it in elsewhere, but for a depreciated value. They didn't even give her any of her deposit back... nothing for a weeks worth of inconvenience! I don't understand how these people can call themselves a reputable dealer. And the final straw, they had the car for 2 days and promised it by this afternoon... STILL. NOT. DONE. My recommendation to you... avoid at all costs. If you do end up buying a car from there... My daughter a college student broke down close to this dealership. We had the car towed there to be checked out. They informed me that the battery was dead and I approved the installation of a new battery and diagnostics. I felt the cost of the battery was high and questioned the cost. Once they put the new battery in, they said that it still would not start, so I was going to have it towed from NC to SC, but the cost was too high, so they did the diagnostics and then informed me it was the fuel pump. I was suspect, as the fuel pump had just been replace (which I let them know), but my daughter was there in a hotel, so I asked how much -- $880.00 for fuel pump. Again I question the cost but felt I was in a bind. Well, I had a guardian angel as they told me the part was not to be delivered for 3 days, so I had the car towed to SC. THE CAR WAS OUT OF GAS AND CERTIFIED MECHANICS COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THIS -- THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME OVER $1000.00 FOR A CAR BEING OUT OF GAS!!!!! I intend to get a lawyer, because they put a new battery, charged me for diagnostics and I had the car towed 400+ miles round trip!! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!! Told me there would be no way to get me in a loaner (which I pay for and is included in my warranty that I pay an extra $50 for every month) after I got into a collision on the highway. Have debated on posting anything but I want to protect you as a customer from what I have went through the last year! 1st off the person who sold me the car (used) lied about the age of the car which I finally caught while signing papers. In the first 34 days I owned my car I drove it for 14 of those days! not consecutively as I had 5 loner cars in that time. Also give me the wrong tag and in the 14 days I did have it I was driving with an illegal tag! then let's just say over a year my car was in the shop more times than I can count. fast forward 1 year and my car would not pass its state inspection because they illegally passed it when i bought it with to dark of tent on it and tried to say i put the tent on after I bought it. when I informed them I had taken pictures of the car the day I bought it before I even left the lot they changed thier tone and offered to take the tent off and inspect it! ummm after accusing me of putting something illegal on my car nope don't think so. i asked to be put in a different car comparable to the one I was in. they showed me pos cars and when I told them no and not to run my credit till i talked to my husband they still ran it!!! I moved here all the Way from Wyoming. I could not find a more pleasant staff in the service department, or so I thought. After dealing with the Winston-Salem dealership I had to find a new Nissan dealership to take my 2013 Ultima. I paid a lot of money for this car and ever since I've had it at 200 miles there has been a brake noise and a roof noise. I brought it to these guys twice first time they told me my brakes were installed incorrectly from the factory, the second time supposedly a soda can was rolling around under my seat. Yet both times when I left the dealership the same noises were to be hurt again it's like they didn't even listen to me. I haven't told Todd The service manager if his technicians could not duplicate my concern to come and get me and I would show them. They never came and got me. I've even spend money at the store in parts and service. So you think I get a little better customer service right? Recently took a trip to Wyoming before I did I went and got my oil changed, And have them look at the warranty issues, this is when they told me the soda can was rolling around! This was on February 20. On the way back from Wyoming I had to stop in Nashville for another oil change. Let's just say I found out Vann York Nissan light on my multipoint inspection, they said my brakes were 8 and 9 mm yet when I took it to Nashville Nissan they said my brakes need replaced it was only a 20 day difference! When I called to confront the service manager Todd he told me that I needed to find a new dealership all I wanted was for an apology and to set another appointment to look at everything over again. I then left a message for the general manager who won't even bother to give me a call to apologize! If you don't want your business to fail you should take better care of your customers simple as that! I am very disappointed in the way I was treated by Todd and I will most likely never go back and give this dealership anymore of my money, I suggest anybody don't go back as well they will just take your money and run! Bought a car last month from these clowns, I live in Texas and financed through their local bank. They sent me the papers to sign everything was wrapped up until I went to the tax title office they did not pay the sales tax correctly. Dealership is trying to make me pay the difference when they made the mistake. This is real customer service at it's best I would not recommend buying anything from these guys they go back on what they say! read more

I had an excellent experience here. I worked with Russell, who was very knowledgable about the vehicles I was interested in. I always dread buying new cars because of the "pressure and harassing" of salesmen. Not the case with Russell. He respected my choice to go home and think about it. I was back the very next morning to do the paperwork. He got me a great price on exactly the vehicle I wanted, I love my new 2015 Altima! We walked in and told this dealership what we were willing to pay maximum, we sat there for 5 hours the first day, I told the guy I was gonna go get lunch he kept saying no that finance guy is almost ready for us. Had to leave because my son had to be at work. Went there they next day and my son sat there for 6 hours was late for work all because they kept saying hold on finance is finishing up with a couple "It's a done deal" walked us through the automotive shop gave us the car book to look at and extra keys. Only to get back in finance and the price was $200 more than they were told we would pay. Then all of sudden everyone states they were never told that and we had said specifically what we would pay several times over, we even put it on paper and the manager had the nerve to say well that's what everyone puts but they don't really mean in it. I will NEVER deal with them again we sat there for 2 days and they wouldn't even let us leave to get lunch and instead of just saying sorry we can't do it for the payments you want, they get your hopes up I guess hoping we will cave and they can get their money and screw us having to make that high of a payment and the bank for when we can't!!!!! I bought a 2007 Toyota Camry from this dealer 6 weeks ago. Today it's at the auto repair shop with a bad engine due to major oil consumption and it losing all of its oil in only driving 4K miles. It's a problem that may likely be covered by Toyota Corp but to have it tested I have to get it running (which costs $3000-$4000) and then Toyota can reimburse. The dealership knew about the problem before selling it yet did nothing. I tried to call Vann York Nissan( where I purchased) and Vann York Toyota( where prior owner purchased) for help. I got no help from anyone! They were all rude and completely blew me off! This includes Billy the Internet sales manager to the Toyota customer care liaison at Vann York Toyota. They were very much kiss ass when they wanted me to buy but now after the fact could care less and don't want to accept any responsibility. I'm stuck now with a lemon that I'm still paying for and may have to file bankruptcy to get out of this mess! Please stay away from this place at all cost! read more

I WOULD SAY RUN FROM THIS DEALER... Went to buy a car for my daughter. The salesman said my daughter would not qualify for a loan on her own. Then he changed that to she would pay about 6% interest on the loan. If my husband cosigned then the rate would be a little lower. I asked about 0% financing. He said it wasn't available even from Nissan. We didn't get a good feeling and it was late at night so we went home and they were going to call us the next morning with more answers. The salesman also yelled at me and then backed down. He said he was very tired and couldn't think straight as he hadn't had much sleep the night before. They NEVER called. I went home and read their website were it was clearly stated that 0.0% financing was available for the car she wanted. THE next morning we went to Crown Nissan in Greensboro, where they ran my daughter's credit and showed her the credit score and told her she qualified on her own for 0.0% financing and we were very happy with our experience and salesman Greensboro. read more
