I have a Toyota and needed an oil change, but Vann York Toyota was booked, so I called Honda and they said they had an opening. I am so glad I came here- staff was very helpful and kind, and did not try to add on a bunch of unnecessary services. Even though my car is a rust bucket, they were able to work on my brakes when other places told me it might not be possible. Great atmosphere and seating areas, as well as a place for kids, and it was quiet enough that I could do homework while I waited. They have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and vending machines. Disappointing.. I had to have a gas tank replacement. I had called, but do not recall the fellows name and was told it was $1369 for the tank and to expect 2 hours of labor for around another $400. When I called back, I got a different person who ordered the tank and scheduled installation. We did not discuss the labor for installation. When I went to the dealership to have the tank installed. The service person stressed that they charge by the hour not by the job and expected it to take 4 hours. They were done in around 90 minutes but charged me for the full 4 hour time frame. When I questioned this. I was told that their tech was really experienced and they were charging for the full 4 hours at just over $770. Didn't you stress it was by the hour not by the job?? I cannot help but feel cheated by this. If you stress you charge by the hour why did you instead charge for the job and an estimated time vs. what it actually was. I will have difficulty trusting Vann York Honda going forward and will probably look to taking my business elsewhere. I would recommend you do so as well. read more

Don Pennetta, my sales associate for my second and now third HR-V, listens to me and understands exactly what I am looking for in my car and how he help fit it into my budget. This isn't always easy! I was looking for a particular Honda Pilot and lo and behold, one popped up on my Facebook feed and it was located at VannYork Honda. I thought great I've bought two Hondas from them already this should be a piece a cake. Long story short, the salesman called me back and I put a $500 deposit just to hold the car until I got off work and could get to the dealership for the paperwork. I said to the salesman on the phone, "will I get my deposit back"? "Absolutely", said the salesman. When I arrived I asked, "when do I get my deposit back. "When you go the see the finance guy to settle the paperwork. Finance guy says "Steve has to do it up front at the desk. I go to the desk no Steve. No Steve works here, they said. I said who does the refunds. Chris and Chris is not here. He will be in the morning. I come back on Saturday. Chris supposedly puts the 500.00 back on my card. Nothing on account Monday. Monday afternoon I go back to VannYork Honda to get my refund. Said It should be back on your card Tuesday. Tuesday is here no credit for the deposit on my card. So moral of the story. Don't buy a car from thieves. I will not buy another vehicle from these people. I also have been taking both Hondas to their service department for years. No More. My experience started well as my salesman Daniel was very straight forward and easy to work with. We negotiated a price for a new Civic over the phone since I live 90 minutes away. I was searching for a manual transmission and they are not common but Vann York had one so I put a deposit to hold the car for a few days so I could come drive it and hopefully purchase it. Today I arrived and the experience was still positive but on the test drive I realized a seam in the seat cushing was rubbing me whenever I used the clutch pedal. Nothing I did to adjust my seating position fixed the issue and since the Civic is the only car that Honda offers with a manual transmission I needed to pass on the car which was not what I had hoped for. This is when the trouble started. The sales manager came over to me and told me that my deposit was non-refundable and that if I walked away without buying the car they would not refund my deposit despite them not being able to provide a solution to my issue and that this car was in their stock before I started negotiations. The manager simply stated that they were in the business to sell cars and it was not his problem if I walked away. I did purchase a car previously from Vann York with a positive experience and that is one of the reasons I returned. I will not make the same mistake again and do not recommend that anyone gives a deposit to Vann York ahead of walking into the dealership to hold a vehicle. Again if I had lived closer this would not have been the same issue but seeing as how the car I was searching for was not in stock locally to me I reached out to Vann York based on my previous experience and felt they would have been trustworthy. read more

Recently, my tire blew out on the highway. When I went to change my tire, it had a lock on it. The key for the lock, however, was nowhere to be found. Stranded on the highway, I called Vann York Honda & Mitsubishi in High Point since I bought my car from there AND get it serviced there as well. I personally have never seen or touched the tire lock and yet the dealership was not willing to assist in getting the tires unlocked. Flow Honda in Winston Salem however jumped through hoops to help me get the lock off while Baity's Tire replaced the tire. Amazing customer service from these two! If you are looking to buy a Honda in the Triad area, go out of your way to purchase it from Flow Honda, you will get treated well. I am not sure why someone would change my location to California, I definitely live in Asheboro,NC , I guess that they didn't like my review, will sorry ......it is what it is,( that review is still up and different from this one ) I am still without a vehicle do to Honda's fault not mine...... I purchased my vehicle at Vann York Honda bought the extended warranty and maintenance program, also when the vehicle was delivered to my home it had over 500 miles on it and the dvd player was missing out of it, along with me calling them several times just to get them to deposit the check I wrote them it's been a nightmare from the beginning and still going on, I wouldn't recommend a Honda for anyone !!!!...... it's a 2016 Honda pilot touring with all the extras. The warranty that I bought is extended to seven years or 70,000 miles this car has got less than 19,000 miles on it. It has been sitting at the Honda dealership in asheboro since around Mother's Day, they wouldn't order the part until they got approval of the extended warranty which Van York tried to say I did not have until I showed them the proof, the part continues to be on back order, I've received six or seven different dates of when my vehicle would be fixed as I sit here getting older and older, my car depreciating more and more and we're talking months now, i've never heard of a personal vehicle that has sat outside in all the bad weather including hail storm, as I have always keep it garaged , in a dealership for as long as this one has, i've tried everything in my power to sell it to them or trade it, but they're being so kind and offering me $20,000 for my car that I paid almost $50,000 for it's like a brand new car let's be real here, I do not believe that these people are doing anything but giving me the runaround...... I don't know how someone else should feel.... I feel that because I am elderly disabled female and alone , they think it's ok.....so I definitely wouldn't recommend Vann York or Asheboro Honda to anyone read more

I bought my 03 Pilot at Flow Honda of Winston Salem. I also bought the extended warranty, which is a Honda product that's honored at all dealers. My passenger side door automated door lock stopped working, so I took it to Vann York, less than one mile from my house. The Service Advisor said the $260!door lock wasn't a covered item since he said it wasn't drive train. Fast forward three months, the automated locking mechanism went out on my drivers side door. Took it to Flow Honda in Winston Salem. They covered the $260 repair under the extended warranty. I didn't pay a cent. I won't give Vann York another cent. If my car breaks down in front of Vann York on Eastchester, I'll have it towed to a Honda dealer in Winston or Greensboro. If I need a 50-cent lightbulb for my car, I'll drive to Winston for it. Enjoy spending my $260, Vann York. It's the last penny you'll ever get from me! read more

Also got two different people email me from dealership saying it was available plus a text and asking if I could come that day and I replied yes. Tried to call sales department twice but no one answered so hoped in my car and drove an hour to get there. Salesman took me in to sales manager who rudely (seemed really annoyed by me asking about truck) replied that that truck had been sold, and I could look at it but couldn't drive it, he needs to learn how to be nice to customers (truck still showing today it is for sale).
