Went in on 5/23 to look at some new gaming dice. The staffer looked up from sorting cards into binders long enough to point at 2 cabinets with dice other than the one I was looking through and was complete inattentive otherwise, even when I hovered near a set I had wanted to take a closer look at before buying. After waiting for roughly 5 minutes with not so much as a glance, it became clear that making a sale, even though a small one, was just not a priority. Will not be going back. read more

THIS STORE SELLS COUNTERFEIT CARDS I bought an expensive Magic: The Gathering card here, and so did a friend, a few months later the friend had to sell his card and when he tried to he found out it was fake, so I took mine in to a professional to check and make sure and found out mine was fake as well. When I went back to vans to let the owner know he had sold a fake card and see if he could offer a refund, he immediately got extremely defensive and aggressive, insisting he had never sold me the card and refused to even acknowledge he had it in stock, this was especially upsetting because I had been a customer here for 3-4 years previously and we had never had a single issue, I will never shop here again and I encourage other shoppers to avoid this store for both practical and ethical reasons, if you must shop here make sure to bring along someone with experience to verify your cards are real before purchasing if you are getting any expensive ones. read more

Soooo much stuff. I kind of like it chaotic. It's kind of fun finding stuff. But some of the best prices in the area. 20% off almost everything. Especially if you are a warhammer player or if you like to read graphic novels. Plus Van will order things if you can't find it. And lastly.. he uses TCG player to price his CCGs. If he does have a price tag on one that's too high..it's probably an old tcg price and he will drop to current pricing. Go check his stuff out! read more

Never met a comic book shop I didn't like...until now. In town for a little getaway for my wife's birthday. Muse is just down the road from where I stay when in town. Pretty excited to learn there was another shop nearby. I have a close friend with me that does not read comics, so I can't do my usual browsing routine. So, new releases, to see if there is anything from my short list of misses from the last month. Nothing, but I finally decide to pick up Venom200, because it is a sweet variant I hadn't seen. Next, I want to check for Spider-Man Unlimited(2004)#8. I need a quick gift for my wife and she loves all things Joe Hill. As long as it is not a $50 book, it'll be perfect. Finally, I need to check for any of Marvel's ROM books. Trying to complete that run for a lifetime now. Oops. Someone is in that aisle already; I'll take a quick lap to check out the rest of the store and oh..oh...there is my opening. I enter the aisle, start flipping through books and then the guy from behind the counter approaches. He wants to know what I'm looking for. I tell him I am browsing. He demands to know what book. So I tell him, he points to where my fingers are holding my spot and says "It's right there" and scurries back towards the front of the store and loudly comments to another browser " You're the kind of customer I like to sell to, ones that are going to read the books, not try to flip them for profit". You are a fool. I started buying and reading comic books over 40 years ago and at just under 17,000 books (All read or waiting to be read) how many have I sold? 0. What are my books worth? Don't know. Don't really care. I'm not a prospector. Pure reader here. I'm the guy that would rather get 50 books out of a $ bin than get one $50 key...do you hear me now? But what if I was? Customers aren't allowed to do whatever they want with a book after they purchase it from you? Do you sell books for the same price that you paid for them? Weird. Very upset that I don't have that Venom book now. You get a F. Also, F you, F that store, F the vehicle and the shoe brand that shares your name. Won't be back. read more

Stopped in here the other day and was kind of shocked, but in a good way. It's a fairly small shop but has a great selection and the prices were more than fair. Found a couple games that I hadn't been able to track down online, as well as some out of print games. I was mainly there to browse their tabletop game selection, but will definitely go back to spend more time browsing through the extensive comic selection. read more

Since it just recently opened, I wanted to see what they offered. I was not greeted upon entering and was looked upon what I can only describe as suspicion. I had a plastic bag with three paperback books I had bought at a used bookstore and was told I couldn't have them there quite rudely. The clerk didn't say he would hold them for me; he just glared at me so I just left. I will certainly NEVER go back again. read more
