Edit: So I post this and Yelp sends me to a no service page. I repost and it saves the post to SAS Shoes Yelp listing and the Yelp star rating goes from One Star to Four Stars. Interesting and impressively fast. One of my businesses does pay for Yelp listing services simply because trying to keep up with all the web traffic on my business is far too time consuming. I plan to discuss this experience with a Yelp agent soon.

My wife bought a pair of shoes at the store in Phoenix AZ before we moved to Oregon about six months ago. After we got here she realized she had gotten the wrong size so we traveled sixty miles to go to the SAS store in Eugene. We walk in the door and the first words out of the clerk's mouth were "We don't carry that color." Silly me to expect something like "Welcome, how can we help you?" Long story short it became obvious that they had no intention of taking them as an exchange because they didn't carry that color in their store. Okay....but when we asked for some help returning them, perhaps a phone number we could call? No. No help. No customer service. No personality. Just a suggestion that we talk to the original store in Phoenix. Consequently, although we had intentions of buying shoes today, these yo-yo's are not getting my business. If this review has not fully communicated my anger today, let me make it clear I will never cross their threshold again.

From the outside, the store seems to have a "snobbish" vibe to it, but once you go in and see for yourself, the employees are really sweet and helpful. I am always surprised by this, but I've never had a bad experience here. The employees (there's usually only one in the store at a time) have been nothing but helpful, finding me the sizes I need, and giving me information if I need it, making sure to tell me about sales, and much more. If they don't have the right size in stock, they are more than happy to order it, and always answer questions. It is a store I have been shopping at for years and enjoy it. Like I said, I've never had a bad experience in here, and I will definitely keep returning to the store for shoes. Even my husband has pointed out some cute shoes for me as we walk by, and we've ended up stopping in and picking them up.
