I really like this building -- the concierges are great and the cleanliness is well maintained. The only issue is the shared restrooms on the 6th floor, where it's almost impossible to wash your hands because the automatic faucet works terribly. read more

I unfortunately cannot recommend Vantage Collection. When tragedy struck, they chose to make things worse. I rented at Vantage for two years, always paying rent on time and looking out for the building and its residents, even risking my safety to help stop break-ins. But when disaster hit my home, Vantage showed no empathy. An unexpected event forced me to break my lease and move out of state. The property manager made the process difficult and was unkind. While preparing to move out, I had a kitchen fire, and I was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. My apartment was left covered in soot. Though they claimed it was safe to return, it was not. The insurance company ordered me not to touch anything until the investigation and restoration could be completed. They confirmed that it was very unsafe to be there, and I immediately left with just the clothes on my back. While facing these challenges--including being hit by a tractor-trailer, losing my car, and nearly losing my life--Vantage pressured me to move my stuff out immediately, even while I was hospitalized. They showed no concern for my safety, began charging huge fees and additional rent, and threatened legal action. I lost over $30,000 worth of property because they wouldn't wait for restoration. I did everything I could to arrange restoration when the investigation was complete so that I could move out. But I was repeatedly stood up by restoration companies. I later learned they prioritized larger jobs and preferred working on houses, leaving me in an impossible situation I had no way of anticipating. In the midst of my worst year, they treated me like an inconvenience rather than a human being. To add insult to injury, after I lost everything and dealt with financial struggles, they sent me a massive bill, ignoring my requests for grace. Months later, I'm still recovering, but they have yet to show even a shred of compassion. read more

This is a review for the parking only, not the apartments. We parked our car here. There is a flat rate for the weekends, $19 for up to 10 hours if I remember correctly. We parked for 3 hours then paid for parking at the machine. The machine did not accept credit card so we paid with cash. Then we we drove to the exit 5 min later and the machine did not accept our ticket because "too much time had passed". We pressed the help button several times and nobody responded. There is a parking office nearby but it's only open during on weekdays. So we were stuck. The only way to get out was to pay $19 again in the machine at the exit. So we paid $38 to park for 3 hours when the actual rate is $19 for 10 hours. Beware if you park here esp during the weekends, nobody will help you so good luck! read more

Just as a warning for any resident considering this building. Theft and crime is out of control here. One of the maintenance people during a routine visit stole from the apartment. The maintenance person thought the item was valuable - it was not, only sentimental. The reaction from the building management was frankly gross, and their only concern was to find ways to reduce liability to Bozzuto. Apparently, from what I heard from the Jersey City police as I was forced to file a report, was this person was eventually fired -- but not before the company let the maintenance continue working for a month plus. There was no follow-up, or really concern, from Bozzuto. Additionally, if you have a car, there are regular break-ins in the parking lot. My car was broken in once already. I'd avoid this building in favor of a different management company, not Buzzoto. read more

Of all the apartments I've lived in within the very fine state of New Jersey, Vantage is by far the best-in location, views, staff, and of course, the building and apartment itself. First, location. As I've come to learn in my 8 years living in Hudson County, Jersey City has become the place to be. It's big but feels manageable, has plenty of things to do and places to eat, and, save for trying to get around Marin Boulevard by car at 5pm on a weekday, is very easy to get around. Driving, parking, light rail, PATH. All good choices. Vantage itself is close to all of those things. There's a parking garage on site, a HBLR station a stone's throw away, and the Grove Street PATH is a 10-minute walk, also known as a "stone's hurl." The building? Super tall. Huge. At the very top you are 45 stories up-taller than most of the buildings in JC, and definitely the tallest in the area. It's concrete and glass with floor to ceiling windows. It looks awesome during the day, and just as cool at night. Even though we don't live at the very top, the view 30-something floors up is just as magnificent. Amenities? You bet. Parking, gym, resident lounge, game room, screening room, massive outdoor deck, grills, pool, dog run, more grills, garden, rooftop lounge, free coffee...there's a lot. The staff-concierge, leasing office, and maintenance team-are all beyond nice, super helpful, and incredibly responsive. The concierges know us by name and are helpful with much more than just package retrieval, and in dealing with the few small issues we've had with the apartment the maintenance team was there either the same or next day, fixed the issue, called me to confirm, and left a note to double confirm. Last but not least, the apartments themselves. Bright layouts. Floor to ceiling windows. Appliances as you'd expect, washer/dryer in unit, wood floors throughout, quartz counters...all the good stuff. We have a north and west facing corner unit; combine that with all the windows and I don't think our place could possibly be any brighter. Vantage gets 5 stars across the board and I struggle to find something to put in the "needs improvement" section. Well, they are building another tower (opposite side of our apartment) so a few grills and the basketball court are closed off for the winter, but I'm the only moron grilling when it's 20 degrees out, and I'm no Kobe--so I think we're good. read more

I lived here for over 2 years and was not satisfied with my experience, especially dealing with the leasing office. First off, they lied to us when we signed the lease and told us that nothing would block our view, and the following year they start building another identical building. Due to the construction of that building, our amenities that we pay for were taken away for 1 full year. We couldn't use most of the grills, the dog park, the big lawn, the basketball court and the outdoor workout space. We were told it would open back up in April 2020 but didn't open until Oct 2020. There were a lot of security concerns that all residents had as anyone could walk up the garage entrance stairs and access 7th floor and up. There should be some sort of fob required to enter for all floors, not just 1-6. Although they have 4 different elevators, 2 of them were always somehow not working and so everyone would have to jam into the 1 or 2 working elevators. The leasing office was not attentive and never responded in a timely manner. I literally had to track Haydee down in the building to connect with her at one point and that is just ridiculous in my opinion. All of that added up and we decided to leave the building once they wouldn't agree to a COVID relief renewal price. Good luck in your apartment search! read more

Luxury building, but not a luxury treatment. Remember hotel California? A hotel you can check in anytime but you can never leave... I have been living here for 2 years. Mainly my critique is for Bozzutto Management/ Sales office/Lease Terms: 1) Extortionist lease termination terms. It is not 2 months to break the lease, but effectively 4, because they force you to first pay for a 60 day notice, and then tag on 2 month "break up" fee. And don't forget - if you had any concessions (months free, etc - make sure you pay that up within 3 days of the move out notice!) 2) Do not allow transfer, lease assignment. No matter what, they kept repeating to me "didn't you sing this?" . Not even to an eligible tenant that is already at the property. Not even to transfer to another Bozzutto property, which I was willing to do. Check out Equity properties instead of Bozzutto - they allow it no problem. 3) Not equal treatment upon renewal. Claim of equal treatment but in reality, I know personally a penthouse owner here was offered a great renewal deal while everybody else is getting a 500 to 1,000 raise. 4) Not willing to communicate in person. To a request of my friend on what is available got a response, one liner - "check out the website". To a request to come down to the office and discuss - not even a reaction. No careful attention to your needs after signing a lease it seems, only before you sign. 5) Poor/no negotiation. Not willing to negotiate or even communicate the fee for renewal when you need it, only when they want to and on their terms. Apparently, the decision makers are so far removed from the ground that the local people are just no help whatsoever, as if repeating a script to you. Amenities: 1) Dog run. For a luxury building it is a shame. It is so smelly that all of the dog owners rarely come there in summer. If you claim to be a luxury building, clean your spaces! 2) Fitness room (old building). Too small to be called luxury space. Quite unkempt. Dirty equipment in the corners. No full light dumbbell set. Bottom-line, the "luxury" term does not just come from having a new building, but from treating your tenants humanely both on the way IN.. AND on the way OUT. Give some training to locals, or some power to actually work with their tenants. I was going to lease from Bozzutto in another city, but not anymore because of the lack of consideration or flexibility in lease signing process. Caveat: Receptionists is the only thing good going about the building, as they are all amazing and hardworking people. read more

I will not rent there as a I got deeply offended. I came for the second viewing and got discriminated by Ricky, leasing officer. Another leasing office has his nose up and taking far too much pride. Pros: nice view from the lounge, good size apartments and great gym. The concierge seems to be friendly. Cons: the construction is loud, everywhere around building looks dirty and dusty, it's far from a pleasant seen. All the dust goes into apartments as the heater/cooler takes the air from outside. After paying premium for the apartments you don't want to inhale such air. The rooftop outdoor area has not got a pleasant view either. I would recommend to rent in this building after the construction is over in a year or so. read more

I've lived in Vantage since Sept 2017, a few months after it opened. In my time here, I've absolutely loved the apartment, building, staff and community. The amenity space and view is really what sets this building apart from it's competition. The entire 6th floor is comprised of amenity space, which includes a 24/7 gym, pool, about a dozen grills, full sized sport court, firepits, dog run and a lot of extra area to hang out. This place is really made for the summer and I can't wait to see how active it is during the summer. All of the staff is extremely friendly and always willing to offer help whenever possible. Every guest I have over is always super impressed with the building. I haven't had any of the below stated issues with sounding, as stated below. read more

Jersey City's "Not-So-Hidden" GEM!! Let me begin by saying that I'm pretty picky when it comes to choosing a location to dwell in. I look forward to spending at least 2-3 years somewhere. Moreover, moving every year sucks and I'M SURE you can agree! Vantage has left a lasting impression in my life thus far. I was the 4th person to move into the prestigious building and have enjoyed every moment (except 1 or 2 instances). I live alone in a 2 bedroom 2 bath and love the space. Overall, the apartments are fantastically lit by natural lighting, considering that each room is blessed with floor to ceiling windows. The AC/heating units are not SMART home compatible, but they fulfill their purpose with ease. Also, the light bill isn't bad at all! Definitely a cost effective & efficient place to call home in that aspect. To be brutally honest, Vantage not only offers amazing apartments and views, but it also offers a motivating lifestyle. I wake up every day with the desire to excel in my two careers and I can definitely attribute that feeling to the environment I live in. The community of people is also very positive for the most part. One of my careers pertains to music so I've gotten a number of complaints that have been addressed by management with the utmost immediacy and scrutiny. Management has definitely conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism and desire to maintain the peace within the community. Trust me, I know!! I'm on the receiving end haha. With that said, there is a drawback to the building that I accepted before moving in. Community living in a building as such will definitely come with the flaw of having "thin" walls. What I mean to say is the following: If you aren't used to living in an apartment building with diverse lives around you, this is not the place for you. Overly sensitive people should buy a house and keep to themselves. In conclusion, I Love This Place! I look forward to growing here over the course of the next two years. Yes, I can hear my neighbors from time to time, but I understand that it's part of living in a building like this. I've lived at Vantage for over 6 months now, and I have to say I have really enjoyed living here. First of all, the facilities and the concierge staff are excellent! The pool is amazing, and the gym and amenities floor are always clean. I'm surprised at the posts below about it being too noisy, because I NEVER hear my neighbors when I'm in my apartment. In fact, this is probably the best insulated apartment I've ever been in. That being said, the management can be a bit inaccessible, and the tone of communication from management tends to be less than friendly. It's hard to speak with management other than walking into the office (I've been told that the management team doesn't have individual e-mail addresses, and we should just send to the generic Vantage address. They also don't respond to phone messages). Again, I love the overall experience here, and I know they work hard to maintain such a large building. It would be nice if they were more willing to solicit input from the community, and especially if the tone of the communications from management was less threatening. For example, we get a "rent reminder" the 4th of every month with big red warnings about late payments - regardless of whether we've paid. I would think they could automate it so that only people who haven't paid receive a reminder. One e-mail a month isn't that big of a deal, but it is reflective of the type of updates we receive from management, whether about rent or how the community is using the public spaces. But I certainly don't regret moving here. The staff that we interact with on a day-to-day basis are very friendly and helpful, and the residents as a whole are very warm. read more

This is really closer to a 4 than it is to a 2 star, but I'm trying to give the most honest review possible. We've been residents at vantage since May 2018. Pros: large apartments with normal floor plans compared to some other buildings in the area that we looked at prior to moving here. The building itself is generally pretty clean, and the gym is cleaned weekly. The outdoor area has a dog run, pool, basketball court, grills, and fire pits, the views are amazing, and the front desk staff is A+. There were good comps when we moved in and the building was completely new. The move in process was easy. The sunsets are gorgeous. Cons: they did not let us know when we moved in that there would be another building being built immediately. Currently 1/4th of the outdoor common area is blocked off, and it's soon to be more than that as a result of construction. It resulted in some overcrowding at the grills this summer, plus it's just not as glamorous looking as it did when the whole space was open. The construction causes dust and debris to get all over the road and the cars in the parking garage. Random lane closures for construction vehicles can back traffic up, especially when the school around the corner opens/closes and people sit in their cars waiting for their kids. The parking garage is expensive and I always feel bad when I have friends over because they have to pay to visit due to minimal street parking near the building. It's also a little bit of a hike to the path (about a 10 minute walk, just enough to make your feet hurt if you're wearing any kind of heel) - I generally budget at least an hour door to door to get to 33rd st. To rent any common area it's $100 per hour, the gym is usually overcrowded before/after work hours, and I can't imagine how much more crowded the common area will be once they open the other building. The other thing we noticed immediately was that the rooms are super bright and they don't have blackout shades so my husband and I both have sleep masks we end up putting on in the mornings to block out the sun. Maybe it's different for other apartment layouts. Overall I like living here but maybe would have reconsidered if we'd known that the construction was coming within a few months of us moving in, especially based on the premium price for rent. The management company is good and will randomly have resident appreciation events including free food and drinks which is a nice touch. read more

I have lived in Vantage for 2 years, and give a mixed review. I love my view and am mostly satisfied, but there are issues. I am lucky to have fairly quiet neighbors. The soundproofing is poor and you can hear your neighbors talking sometimes. Management fixes problems in the apartment quickly but has let the building front door stay broken for 6 months. The big problem is the noise from Surf City, our noisy next-door neighbor. They bang loud gongs until midnight -- this is not made up --, blast music. For four months every summer, it is a frequent annoyance, and I'm paying top dollar for this. read more

When we first came upon this building in September 2019, we were excited to a find a great place with excellent views, amenities, apartment layouts and a really attentive leasing office. In the past several months, it has been a different story. Staff turnover at the front desk and in the leasing office. Incidents of stolen packages from the building. Strangers and theft in the secured parking garage. At first we wanted to continue living in the building for ease, but after the leasing office refused to work with us and treated other residents with better deals and service, we knew it was time to go. To top it off, the new leasing agents have no clue what is in each residents file and meets residents concerns with baseless accusations. Needless to say, I would not recommend this property to anyone at the moment, until management steps up and takes care of things. Plus construction is still ongoing with the new tower. Shout out to Marvin at the front desk though, he's wonderful. read more

We've been living in Vantage building for little more than a year now and I really do love their atmosphere and great ambience. However, before long it came to my attention that our package is keep missing! The building send out emails when our packages are ready to be picked up at the package room, which is clear that the building received the package but when I go downstair to pick up a package, they cannot find the package and tells me to contact either a carrier or the seller. After I do all that, I have to email the concierge and that is when I get a reply saying that they found my package. I do understand that they receive a lot more packages around holiday season but this happened too many times even before the holidays. This is beyond frustrating to have to constantly concern about not finding valuable packages. Don't get me wrong, this only happens with one of the concierge member and other than her, everyone else is very attentive and caring especially Marven. read more

My experience went down hill after moving in. We had another building that was starting to be constructed and blocking our view with many amenities out of use during the construction. Our ceiling and walls had settlement cracks that appeared in this time too, and the elevator was often out of service. Once we were stuck in it- all of a sudden the lights went out and we "fell" like a few feet as it abruptly caught. They eventually pried us out and we climbed out as we were stuck between floors. The move out experience was the worst. We gave notice in June 2020 that we weren't resigning the lease that ended end of August 2020 but got no communication. I emailed again to ask if I needed a form for move out and no response. Called and was told I'd get an email. Nothing. I asked about booking a move out day with the reason that the app wasn't working and included screenshots, and told to do it on the app. I asked again explaining again it wasn't working and ignored. w had to move out without a moving company. I asked about the deposit back and was told It would be sent to the address on the move out form. I responded with multiple screenshots where I asked about a form and was never given it. To this day I have never seen a move out form that they apparently needed. I asked about being there for inspection and ignored and then given the wrong date, and so forth. Superb residence with GREAT amenities. High quality residents, mostly professional crowd and countless amount of dogs (love it). Extremely pet friendly, staffs are A1 and upkeep of the building is beyond superb. Fit and finishes are nice and offers above average sound proofing. Location is top notch, you can find pretty much anything within 5 min walking distance. My commute went from 2 hours to 30mins into NYC- quality 30mins! The building is always kept clean, the gym and yoga room are always available 24/7 and the environment is always pleasant. The 6th floor deck, with a swimming pool, fire pits, bbq grill and basketball court are always kept spotless. Along with the aesthetics of the building, the culture and atmosphere of the people that live here is incredible. I have been very fortunate to have wonderful neighbors that I now call good friends. I've lived in Vantage since last Winter. Overall, really nice building but the management team is really slimy and unreasonable to the requests of their residents. Specifically, they closed the pool on Labor Day this year and refuse to open it later, despite being open until the end of September last year and being very hot after the Labor Day. The outside deck area is only open from 8am-10pm during the winter season and + 1 extra hour on each end during the summer. Most of the other buildings in Jersey City, including 18 Park have 24/7 access to the deck, or at least the dog run. The recycling bins on each floor are extremely small (13 gallon bin) that would be appropriate for a family of 4, not a floor of 50+ people. If your cardboard box falls out of the bin, expect to get a warning letter in your inbox and in your resident record in the management office. The garbage chute frequently breaks, backing up trash in the garbage room and stinking up the whole floor... also expect a letter about this as well. In individual desputes with the office, Haydee has been very unreasonable and not welcoming to suggestions from residents. Considering that we, the residents pay an extreme amount to live at Vantage, management should be open to problem solving, not pointing fingers and being unreasonable. I'm not usually a review guy, but no one deserves positive feedback more than the team at Vantage. I've lived here for over a year & have genuinely loved everything about it. I don't think any other building can really compare. Obviously the views and amenities are incredible. (Pictures don't do it justice - see it for yourself.) The building is extremely well designed and impeccably cared for. Jeric and his maintenance team do great work. Always super responsive, kind, and helpful. The service provided by the whole staff is really what makes living here an extraordinary experience. Of special note is Haydee V., the assistant manager, who goes above & beyond for all residents. The team she leads is compromised of people who are not just great at their jobs, but also just genuinely great human beings. I am beyond SHOCKED to see negative reviews about the Vantage. My son has lived there for approximately 6 weeks, and I have visited from Florida, and never wanted to leave. It's like living in a luxury hotel, with views and amenities that are UNSURPASSED. We looked at all the other luxury apartments in the area, and the Vantage won HANDS DOWN!! My son is beyond happy living there, and takes advantage of all that this building has to offer....the grills, herb garden, 45th floor, gym, FREE Starbucks coffee in the lobby, etc..... The area is on the verge of becoming one of the trendiest in JC, and there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance, as well as the easy access to the city. The staff is also extremely professional and accommodating!!! The building also has special events for residents, on a regular basis. (wine night, beer night, breakfast, etc.) Try finding the same views, service and amenities in Manhattan for even twice the rent of the Vantage. Impossible!!! We moved into The Vantage on Memorial Day weekend, after having looked at pretty much every other building in Jersey City. But our decision kept coming back to The Vantage. It really wasn't a hard decision to make. My husband works in Jersey City, so we decided it was time to be close to his office and be in walking distance. We have not lived in an apartment for a very long time so we had our doubts about how we were going to like it. We met with Dawn Nassaney in the leasing office and she was (and is) terrific. Took all of our concerns into consideration, mainly the fact that we had not been apartment dwellers. Or, at least, we weren't a couple of months ago. We were concerned about soundproofing. I can honestly say that has been no concern at all. This apartment is extremely quiet. We decided on a corner unit on a high floor, with a southwest exposure. The apartment is all floor to ceiling windows, and the view is breathtaking. I am sitting in the living room now typing and looking out at the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Liberty State Park. The amenities are unlike any other building in the area. Numerous gas grills, a lovely pool, multiple fire pits, basketball court, an area for residents to do their own planting, as well as lovely indoor areas, and a superb gym with great equipment, plus a yoga room, and spin room. And that is only on the six floor! On the top floor of the building is the Sky Lounge with the most amazing views, and a great place to relax, or work.There is also a reasonably priced parking garage attached to the building, which makes everything very convenient. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by the friendly team at the concierge desk, to the free 24-hour Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby, you will feel comfortable at The Vantage. If you are looking to move into Jersey City and can not make up your mind, I will honestly tell you that my husband and I know we made the right choice by living at The Vantage. read more
