So new to using a vape mod and was trying to ween myself of cigs by using a JUUL, which was doing it. Got a Snowwolf MFENG UX on Saturday and decided to see Kris, the owner, at Vape Monkeys to get better answers then looking them up online. I have to tell you it was the best decision and experience of shopping in general that I have made in a long time. One of the nicest and most honest guys I have come across. I wanted to spend like $100 or more and he told me there is no way I would spend near that. Who does that as a store owner? Kris does. Plus he has a white Siberian Husky and I am a Husky liver having 2 that just added to the experience. Not only did Leo's answer all my roomie vape questions but he gave me a sample of his own blend of juice and informed me of a tank that would work better on my Snowwolf then the one that came with it. This wasn't a hard sell or an up sell just giving me his advice and I made the decision to buy. So without hesitation I highly recommend going here if in the area or slightly out of the area. Other then marrying my fiancé and getting my second Husky pup, going and seeing Kris here is the best decision I have made in quite awhile. Nothing but positives from Kris and Vape Monkeys and I will never go anywhere else to get my E-Juice or parts for my vape mod. And to see Nola his pure white, blue-eyed female husky. Went there to try to find a very easy to find product and they did not carry it. That street has five Vape stores on it. I feel bad for all five of them because they are competing against each other. This one just didn't have any products that I needed so that's why I'm giving it 2 stars because I can just walk across the street. If they really want to compete with the other vendors they need more products in their store. read more

Stopped in with my partner last month to get him a new vape and juice to go with it. Chris was a super chill helpful dude. He took time to explain everything to us and answer all our questions. I don't use vape products and it's been a while since my partner was into vaping, so it was awesome having Chris to help us find the right products. I stopped in Vape Monkeys new location on Dempster. Love the vibrant color inside representing their logo. Real comfy atmosphere with a juice bar to attend to your sample needs. Great place to just kick back in their lounge area to watch tv and vape with the juices on the table. They have a great selection of mods, juices, starter kits..etc. The reason i came in today was because i wasnt' happy with my mechanical set-up after trying out my friends. I talked to Kris about my situation and it seemed that i just have an outdated set-up and i needed to upgrade from my previous set-up. I got a new RBA and Kris built it to my specific needs. It was exactly what i was looking for. Not only that but he gave me a crash course on how to build it along with some extra coils and cotton to play with at home and practice. I highly recommend this vape store. Great environment, knowledgeable staff , and amazing customer service. This place is amazing. I was stopping in and I never had really used anything this high tech to vape before. I only used ego twists or something on that level of vaping. I wanted something a little better and with more of a kick. I wanted to quit smoking, and so far, vape pens did not work. The guy working there actually taught me about so many things. Customer service, customer service, customer service! I went in yesterday to get my first dripper and the guys there were so incredibly helpful it was mind boggling. The entire group that works here is amazing and helpful with getting into RBAs amongst other things. Some vape shops have rude staff or people who don't have time or want to give time to you but when I walked in yesterday, these guys were on point! There are thousands of vape stores dotted throughout the Chicagoland area so it usually comes down to convenience, but sometimes product availability, price & service may be such an issue, convenience easily takes a back seat. Gene (I think proprietors name) runs the best vape retail operation I've seen since trading in cigs for vape 6 years ago. In all that time I didn't realize their were mod tanks & coils available for low wattage vaping. Gene accessed my situation and turned me onto a vapoo tank which I'm loving, showed me a really cool way to treat a coil and hooked me up as a returning customer. I signed up for yelp specifically to review these guys. They're that good. I have been vaping for abt 18 months, and wanted to "graduate" to using an RDA & building my own coils. These guys answered every dumb question I had, educated me on batteries, resistance calculators, wire, etc. They even built me a coil to get me going. The shop itself is pretty chill - a couch, tons of liquids to try, and a sense of community for vapers. I've since called a few times as other questions have popped up & I've gotten them answered. Chris, the owner, was great to me, and Chase had answered every question I've thrown at him. They regularly check online prices to make sure their stuff is competitively priced. Went to the shop and was not really impressed. The salesperson, although very pretty wasn't knowledgeable and was steering a total newbie, someone who never vaped b4, to get a mech mod when obviously he should have gotten a starter kit which they don't sell..and it sounded like she was talking out of her butt. If the vape community wants to nurture new people into vaping, this is not the way to go. They had some good juices, but not alot of hardware, mainly mechs and drippers, but not alot. Kris was there being helpful and trying to get me set up with the best possible for what I already had. I learned more in my one visit to this shop than I have in my almost one year of vaping. Kris set me up with my first rebuildable. While he was building it for me and teaching me how to do it for my first time, I had the pleasure of getting to dive into his juice-bar and pleasure my senses. Great little vape shop. Great juice, great service, great prices but..... Twice now I've been offered new wicks after dripping some wick wrecking juices and the guy who did my wicks, I won't mention his name cause he's good otherwise, had filthy hands! I watched my new cotton turn a nasty brown as he rolled it. Needless to say as soon as I left I ripped that stuff out and re-wicked in the lot. Cleanliness is a pretty big deal for me so I'll be refusing the wick service in the future. Only other gripe would be start stocking more Rda's!!! I walk in and got an immediate bad vibe from the staff who continued their conversation well over a minute while I was waiting to be helped.
