Born and raised in this neighborhood and still come to visit family. So i was thrilled when i saw the VapeL1fe sign go up years ago. To think that i can walk up the street for a vape getaway during family gatherings sounded wonderful! I have stopped in several times and have never had a good experience. Some of the ladies behind the counter seem like they do not want to be bothered and are too busy to answer questions, vape snobs. It is rare that i walk into a vape shop and leave bagless whether it be the newest mod, supplies, hardware, juice or now pods. This is the only vape store that i have walked into and never purchased anything... not even a juice! The last time I walked in here looking at the mods the lady behind the counter refused to let me see the mod because it was "too expensive". I have no idea why I was profiled. It really is a shame for them because i often leave a vape shop spending more than i want too. read more

One of the best Vape shops in NJ. If you live near the Edison area, you should visit this place. The owner "Jai Haze" is a YouTube vape reviewer whose channel is very entertaining and informative, and I was surprised when I saw him at the same desk I've seen him use in his videos, but its not surprising that a great solid vape reviewer would have a great solid vape shop. They have a huge selection of juice, mods for beginners and advanced users and they know the difference and customize their suggestions to fit the user. He claims I yelled when I do not yell, and I can prove it bc I recorded the whole conversation on my iPhone. He is condescending and rude and if he thinks he's not going to make money he walks away. Great looking store. Their inventory contains a wide selection with up-to-date equipment. Employees are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I will be continuing to send people interested in vaping their way. My friends have all had positive experiences here as well. Their prices on equipment for a B&M are very reasonable compared to other B&M's, however their prices in person are slightly higher than they are on their online storefront. While I can only speak for the ten ejuice flavors I tried, they are above average in taste with some complexity in flavor. For people who know exactly what they want, VapeL1FE is good for the convenience factor. For others just getting into vaping, want to try out take a look at new stuff before purchasing, or want to try out some ejuice, this place is excellent. My husband and I had originally bought Kangertechs from another establishment and weren't really happy with them. We were looking to upgrade our mod boxes. We had done extensive research on the Internet to find a good shop in the area where we could go to for all of our vape needs. After reading rave reviews, we decided to spend our money at Vapelife yesterday (I purchased a Tesla Invader III, my husband purchased a Snow Wolf limited edition). Nick helped us set up two completely new mods. Even though it was an expensive purchase, nick was really helpful and answered all of our questions. After charging the batteries last night we were getting our mods ready for the day. I as having trouble inserting the batteries into my Tesla. We went back to Vapelife today to see what the issue was. Em was super helpful and she showed me some tips and tricks to help me insert the batteries without killing my hands (she has the same device I have). This shop has been on my radar for awhile to visit and see what they have to offer. After seeing that the manager/owner(?) responded to any negative comments here and seeing their website I decided today was the day. Just so you know, I work in a Project Management/Customer Service role so I am very sensitive to customer service. Not that I am singularly more sensitive to good or bad customer service than anyone else but the bar is set pretty firmly with me. If service is good I return and give them my money, if it's bad, they never get any of it. No bashing or rants. Just no patronage. That being said I found the personnel helpful and the variety of items they stock impressive. I was greeted by (a very enthusiastic) Nick as well as helped by the very attractive and knowledgable Sapphire. They were both pleasant and made suggestions and offered opinions on some of the items I was looking at. The place seems well run. The only constructive criticisms are that the display cases are a bit overstocked with items which made it hard to discern some of the items within groups but this could simply be matter of space. They do carry more than any shop I've been to so far. They really have anything you could possibly want. The other thing is it is dark, dark, dark in the store. When you walk in from outside you can't see anything for a couple of seconds before your eyes adjust. A strange thing to comment on, but, yeah. You'll see what I mean if you go there. Lastly, pricing. Pricing I found to be a bit higher than some of the other shops I've gone to somewhere in the 10% range. Not terrible, but that's my opinion from my experience. Certainly not enough to keep from going there. I can write off as a "have it now" tax. So if you want to go to a shop that has good service and more than likely has anything you could possibly be looking for I can recommend VapeL1fe without hesitation. The service was subpar. I was surprised that when I brought my friend they were not friendly. I did go there to get the coil built for my dripper. The guy was able to give me different coil building options. I got the clapton build on my dripper. Was satisfied with the build, I paid $13. Wish service was a little better. read more

They have a good supply of products but watch out. They sell things that will be defective in less than a day and they'll tell you that it is something that I must've done for it not to work. Sorry but you sold a tank with faulty gaskets and the tank leaks horrendously. I explained to some guy there who says I can't refund or exchange it when I was sold something that I as defective. That is poor customer service and I wouldn't recommend going there to anyone.. there are a dime a dozen vape shops around and I suggest to everyone to proceed with caution read more

I bought my first setup from them originally and was happy with my purchase (bought Frumples as my juice and was quite happy). Tried a few other places for juices and eventually went back to VapeL1fe since I was in the area and haven't found juices I have liked outside of what they offer. I even tried a few Vape Juice kitchens in California. FYI their juices are all natural no artificial preservatives which makes me even more of a happy guy. Jai is the man there to go to and def knows exactly what the client wants. If its your first time in there go see him, he's knowledgable on specific flavors you'd want and has tons of info on products. I wish I talked to him the first time but since he is the man, theres always someone he's talking to. When I upgrade my setup to something stronger and more efficient I will be ordering from Jai. Def a must for Vape people in the area. I went to the South Amboy store when they first open... Fast forward to today Dec 14. They now me by name, when I walk through the door, friendly atmosphere, and very knowledgeable. Everyone that works for this shop very helpful, and help you with you purchase no matter what you have come in for. Jai the owner I know briefly through social media makes sure his employees are equipped to provide you the best service. Very poor service, walked in and there were 5 employees working behind this small counter. Took at least 15 min to get any type of help (must of been a busy day in the vape shop). Once I got help I felt like I was a bother to the employee just asking basic questions about the MODS and juices. Decided to stop smoking cigs after smoking for a good 6 years. My girl bought me a vape for my birthday to start the process, but the juice she got me wasn't really doing it for me (her choice). Walked in today after work, hearing only good things about this place I figured I'd give it a look. Chief greeted me as soon as I walked in and asked if I needed help with anything. Let him know the situation and how I basically am new to vaping. He patiently let me try a few different flavors (all while business was picking up on a Friday night) and he really nailed it with the Serial juice. Haven't stopped since I got in the car. Also after I got the juice, we talked about my setup. He basically told me the tank I was using wasn't letting my mod reach its full potential. Which I had also heard from other people and websites. I'm always open to suggestions especially since I'm new to this and he hooked me up with a nice tank that is noticeably better than what I originally had, while also being at the same price. Hands down, the best in the area. I used to go to the one on 18 (Montreal smoke shop) but then I realized that this place was around the corner from my house. No one can beat their juice that they sell. First time in the shop today and it is beautiful! Clean, organized and very appealing to the eye! When I walked in I was greeted immediately by a young lady. She helped me with exactly what I wanted and needed. Offered me the loyalty program. It was a Fast easy and smooth transaction. The ONLY thing that turned me off is there was a gentleman sitting at the desk with his feet up and shoes off. I PROMISE nobody wants to see that. It's gross for a retail environment. I will be back for I was 100% sure you would comment. I am totally entitled to my opinion. I would never be mean or combative. My father is a 100% disabled retired vet so i'm hoping you wouldn't just say that. He served 25 years for this country's freedom. after being asked repeatedly to change my review I did. On my last trip I had to $1.00 for tasting flavors which is the new law I get it. I then checked out and forgot a $1.50 piece (coil for old pen style K2) i needed for my wifes setup. Didnt have cash on me they enforced $10 minimum claiming it wouldn't let them process it. Tight fisted owner proceeded to tell me the system doesnt allow them to charge less and refuses to peel one dust covered single out of his wallet for a customer who had purchased no less than $2,000 worth of stuff there in last 6 months. They have all the stuff but the customer service is weak sauce and there is a vape shop on EVERY CORNER. Havent been back since. You couldnt pay me to change this review this time. read more

EDIT: Previous review stated I had an experience that left something to be desired and we were generally not fans of the shop. No one was rude and we didnt have some outrageously awful experience. It just didn't feel like they catered to new, uninformed customers. While this information IS still accurate for our first visit, after speaking extensively with the owner we are willing to give the shop another try and I will be revisiting my review after I do so. The owner was genuinely concerned about our experience and went through great lengths to try and remedy the issue. The first time I was there was a great experience. I bought juice and had a decent chat with the owner about motorcycles. Second visit was pretty good too, but owner was a bit pricky, however, there was a really pretty brunette girl that worked there that was low pressure, friendly and very helpful, which made the experience better, but he was kind of mean to her. Because of her I kept going back and bought two mods and loads of juice. Ive been away for a while, but made a couple of trips up there recently and the experience has gone down the drain. The owner which seemed like a cool dude must have been having a good day the day I met him, since he's been quite duchy and rude to customers and the employee's. I always feel like I am bothering them when I go in there. I walked in and walked out not too long ago and stopped at another store just down the road. Come to find that the coils I bought at VL1 were %20 less here and a lot more choices in terms of juice and the prices were better and the staff was super nice and the place is well lit. There are very few times that I can say that the owner of a business shouldn't be in business. Jai speaks to his customers in a very condisending manner, and to his employees like servants or idiots shaming them in front of customers. How can a customer enjoy a visit when he yells at his employees, I give it to him that the shop is nice and he has a good selection of juices and vapes but maybe he should stay home and let his employees run his shop so customers don't have to witness his abuse of his employees!!! Someone needs to speak to these people about customer service.... I went to the South Amboy store for more than a year and every time we walked in they had run out of basically every e juice my husband and I used. By the way, that's about 10 different juices.... we would be told to come back in a week and it was promised to be there. We would come back in a week, "I'm so sorry we don't have them, I told the Edison store they just have forgotten to get them here". This was the constant problem, then all of a sudden there was a sign on the door. "Sorry for any inconvenience but we are closed for 10 days" . The "10 days" turned into months. Nice way to handle your customers huh? So last week I decided to drive over to the Edison location where I was greeted very nicely with the girl who used to work in the South Amboy spot. She was helpful, I bought $70 worth of products( that's average what I spend every 2 weeks for me and my husband to vape). I went back today and asked about this specific juice and mentioned that I had gotten it somewhere else and ingredients are different but that there's no warning, the box and ingredients are the same. I asked her if I purchase this juice from you would you take it back if there were something wrong with it, "no, that has nothing to do with us"..... how does that have NOTHING to do with you when you're selling it in your store!!!?????!!!! This is how you handle customers? Who spent insane amounts of money in your store over the years? I'll never spend another $1 in VAPE LIFE..... I just kept coming back and giving them another chance..... no f-ing way not this time. read more
