Well now, where shall I begin? Are you sitting comfortably? Good... While visiting friends in Edison, NJ about eight months ago I was quite intrigued by the vaping devices that they had switched to, after putting down their cigarettes. In fact, I was fascinated. My friend allowed me to try one of his spare devices (this seems to turn into a collecting hobby, as one device or liquid is not enough) and I found it to be quite enjoyable. I decided then and there that I would, likewise make the switch. They had suggested this shop to me, as it was nearby, on my way home, and allegedly staffed with class A staff. Now, on to my experience, or should I call it....I don't believe I have the words to properly describe it. Salvation, perhaps? Trip to Nirvana, likely. I WAS greeted immediately upon entering the dungeon that is the shop [Black walls, floor, ceiling, and mirrored windows] by a delightful young lady with glasses (I'm sorry, But I don't recall her name}. I explained to her that I was not a vapor and wished to start. She began by inquiring about my budget, not my income, but how much I was willing to spend. To which, I replied, under $300 US, so if I decided I didn't like it I wouldn't have an extremely expensive paper weight for my desk! The showcases were crammed with so many different devices that I was in sensory overload.Items ranging from $25 US to over $900 US (I was astonished). While the young lady was assisting me, a young man, whom I can only assume was the proprietor was sitting at a little work bench doing what I now know to be building coils, while speaking to a rotund man with a goatee and a cane whom was sitting on a couch behind him. They seemed to be discussing technical specs on different devices, and the large chap also seemed to be explaining the finer points of electrical theory to the shop keeper. It would appear this establishment had in house repair service as well. Very interesting. Anyway, After selecting my device and the proper accessories,(a JoyeTech eGo One and 2 extra 5 packs of coils in both resistance ranges) the shop girl walked me over to the "Tasting Bar" where I was able to sample any flavor of liquid they sold. Further impressed. After which, she asked if I would like to open the package and have a tutorial, to which I agreed and THAT was astonishing to me. Never had I seen anything of the like!! During my experience, a second customer entered the shop and the prop. immediately stopped what he was doing to assist him with his shopping experience. The customer mentioned in passing that he had been having some sort of trouble with his device, to which the large man wrestled himself from the couch and asked to see the device. He removed a pair of spectacles from his shirt pocket that had a watchmakers loupe affixed. he examined the connection where the tank screws in and found it to be in need of cleaning and drying. Which he handled for the customer, as well as cleaning the battery connections, and giving the remainder of the device an inspection, in all of 5 minutes at no charge!!! Needless to say, an establishment with this level of customer care DESERVES our business, The owner has a firm grasp on the concepts of customer service and marketing, without the need for high pressure upselling, and I can assure you I shall return whenever I am in the area. Further, I make it a point to mention the place to any fellow vapers I cross paths with as I travel the globe on my lecture circuit. OK. SO. Here's the deal. This is going to be a long review, but please read the whole thing. It'll be worth it. I promise. I'd heard a lot of bad things about this shop. Bad attitude..etc. That turned out to be trash talk by competitors. BUT I really wanted to try the enhancers they sell. SO, I took a shot and stopped in. My first visit, was ok. They were very busy and there was a bit of a wait. BUT, depending on how you look at that, it could be a GOOD thing too. Busy store, means more customers, means happy customers. I didn't find ANY bad attitude or anything. The young lady behind the counter was very apologetic about the wait, which I assured her wasn't an issue. I picked up some juice, and a bottle each of the bed head , and easy does it. I only bought one "house juice" The Captains Berries" (Crunch Berry) ZOMG! SO DAMN GOOD!!!! Now. The enhancers. They are NOT A GIMMICK! They actually work! I suffer from severe debilitating anxiety, and am prescribed heavy duty tranquilizers and sleep aids. After vaping with the "Easy Doe's it" enhancer for a week, I've only needed to take my "emergency tranq. once, and haven't needed the long acting one at all.I vape a small tank (Sub Tank Nano) With a tea juice (Grey Ghost)(Earl Grey Tea for you Captain Picard fans out there) and the "Bed Head" enhancer at night before bed and 9 times out of 10 I fall asleep in my arm chair with the mod in my hand! Are you sure it's not Diphenhydramine (benadryl for all you non science geeks) ?!?!? LOL!! They really work, there's also one to give you energy, but I haven't tried that. Now onto the staff. Jai, the owner (the guy at the work bench) is VERY knowledgable, and VERY helpful. I stopped in a second time last night, after drooling all over the showcase on my first visit. They have a very large selection of mods, atty's tanks, supplies, etc. All well displayed, and something for every vape budget. So, last night, I walk in and I told the young lady behind the counter that I was relatively new and on a VERY tight vape budget, but I really wanted to get myself a mech mod. So, she took the time to work with me and got me set up with a very nice mod, battery, dripper, charger combo. (Magneto v2, Caterpillar II RDA, and a charger that I can't remember the name of, but it's awesome. It works both ways. You can use it to charge your batteries, and then in turn use your batteries to charge other devices like cell phones or regulated mods with on board batteries. I LOVE IT! Then while discussing some building problems I was having with Jai, he stopped what he was doing (he looked really busy) and took the time to help me understand the issues. When I put his tutelage into practice this morning; PROBLEM SOLVED! The E-liquid offerings are just amazing. More than I have ever seen. And they aren't in those little cheesy squeeze bottles. They come in nice glass bottles with droppers, which I think is a huge plus! Again. Sorry this review is so long, but it needed to be said. GREAT SHOP, KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF, FRIENDLY STAFF, and HELPFULL STAFF! Oh, and the store hours can't be beat! All In ALL New customer for life! It's really a one stop shop for all your taping needs. I have written one review in my life, I think it was for Amazon Prime or JetBlue which I had outstanding customer service experiences, similarly my experience with VapeL1fe's customer service has been phenomenal. Since it is rare in the current economic climate to see new small businesses initiated I feel obligated to post a review in hopes it helps the entrepenuer his friendly staff as well as consumers looking for great vape-products and top-notch customer service. I was provided with the best customer service at VapeL1fe on RT1 in Edison that has become a rarity in our current "consumer beware" country (an additional location just opened in South Amboy/Perth Amboy as well which I will definitely check out). Readers Digest Version; I purchased a JoyeTech Ego One Mega, and after 23 days the battery stopped holding a charge. Joyetech provides a warranty which is worthless as they direct you to the distributor, the distributor directs you back to the manufacturer leaving the consumer chasing their tail. Although this is in no way the retailers (VapeL1fe) fault, I simply asked the owner for their suggestion expecting very little, the owner made it clear through action that his team takes customer service very seriously....even though replacing the faulty battery is the manufacturers responsibility (which is even noted on manufacturers BS Warranty card), the owner/staff at VapeL1fe provided me with a brand new Ego One Mega at no charge at all. Thanks to the team at VapeL1fe, I will be a loyal customer. Additional Details; Although I have only been vaping nearly 60days I definitely got into it, I do not know all the lingo yet nor do I build my own vaporizers , perhaps one day I will, Currently I am a newbie. While in the Corps I loved my dip/chewing tobacco, the past 2 years I loved smoking my tobacco pipe, due to boxing when I was an adolescent I did not get into cigarettes............,. Lately I got sick of tasting and stinking like pipe tobacco. To be honest the 1st 3-4 days I hated vaping, for some reason after the 5th day something clicked and now I love trying new e-juice flavors, herbal vapor oils that parallel the old wives tinctures for home remedies, + natural CBD oils which help w my anxiety issues as opposed to highly addictive prescription meds. I don't even know where to begin this VAPE Shop is by far one of the best. The experiences I have received each time I have gone in has been truly amazing. Vapel1fe is by far the best vape store on the market. Ive been to many over the course of years but Ive never been to a place that has more knowledge of the product of Jai and his crew have. They know thier product and know it well. There was a comment where some person complained about a defective product. I myself baught a mod that was obviously defective and Jai made good on it. They also have the largest selection of juices I have ever seen by far. If anything and to me this is nitpicking if I have to, but most of the employees and many times Jai, are not friendly especially to returning customers. Theres more to customer service than knowledge. I will continue to shop there because it is a well run establishment and Jai knows his stuff and knows it well. Like I said, its nitpicking , but they can be a little more friendlier. I'll throw this out there. Many times, customers have to keep our voices down, because online computer videos are being made. Kind of tacky. Still, five stars all the way. One more thing. Read an old comment from someone who critisized Jai and his crew for not wearing shoes or "someone" sitting at the desk with his feet up and claiming his father was a disabled veteran. I know Jai. I have met both jai and Brie in person and they are kind hearted awesome people. They both follow the FDA's laws and they make sure no minor is being sold by them. This is what impresses me the most mainly for two reasons, that is one store minors can't buy from and that helps with this whole youth epidemic for vaping and second people get mad when they our asked for their ID's and start loud mouthing and cussing and both employees keep it calm and even resolve the problem. I love how they have a nice huge selection of different products and I love their online store! The site gives you points "wicks" after every sell and you can earn things with the wicks such as coupons it's awesome! Their juice by the way is phenomenal and they all use no sweeteners in theirs liquids, so no gunked coils! They are very knowledgeable so you need any help and they aren't busy in shop at the moment they will help. Just don't be shy and make sure you have your id and you have nothing to worry about! I have been to a lot of stores. I have bought liquids and vapes from a lot of different places. Thank you God for sending me to this store. The staff is the best. They are so helpful. And knowledgeable. Their prices are unbelievable. I will never buy anything else in any of the other store. This is my new place to go to when I need anything for my vape. Love my new tank. My second time going to the store. And I couldn't be happier. When I went to the other stores to buy juice they used to sell me what they thought was good and they would let me smell it for a quick second. So I decided to upgrade from the IPVD2 to a IPV5 and the search began and I couldn't decide weather to order online or pop up at a local store. I didn't want to give any of my hard earned money to just any store (((In Manville/Somerville, NJ high priced and incompetent with a splash of retardation))) so decide maybe I should find a reputable place and long behold I found Vapel1fe. The store is fully stocked I mean WOW! The one thing that I like the most is how awesomely dark but not too dark it is in the store, it sort of sets the mood for relaxation when deciding on a purchase. I was approached out of the darkness by a soft speaking woman by the name of M, she was very helpful and was able to answer all of my questions. Just had a great experience at the Edison, NJ store the morning of 9/22/15. Easy access and parking, well stocked with juice and a variety of pen and box mod units of various price ranges and bells and whistles (although no DRNA 200 units yet), inviting store). Pleasant experience sampling various juices. Of particular note, was the very engaging young saleswoman with short dark hair who made the entire experience delightful. She was very knowledge, had tons of patience and was instructive and very helpful to me. (I never purchased retail before only online). She also had a keen sense of what I needed and might like - including juices and she also showed great rapport with returning customers who walked in and she was able to identify and engage them and make their experience pleasant. I've been to a lot of vape shops but vapel1fe is by far the best one I've ever been to. I've been to vape shops in the city, all the ones on Route one, Union, and even one in philly, but vapel1fe offers the best prices you can ask for and it was the only shop, I've been to that let me try every single juice flavor. The flavors of the juices are amazing. The prices here are the closest to online prices and the staff members are extremely helpful and they actually know what they're doing!! Just found this place this morning (09-18-2014) and decided to stop by. First of all they open pretty early and close late for a vape shop (9AM to 11PM). I had no experience vaping at all and as soon as I walked in, they explained to me everything I needed to know and more. They helped me select a complete mechanical mod to suit my needs or wants within a fair price range. They even showed me how to build coils and pack the cotton.
