We really enjoyed our conversation with her and learning how to "throw pots". It's great that she will arrange to have the pieces glazed per our color choices and shipped to us at a later date. Her enthusiasm and joyful personality made it an incredibly fun, informative and productive experience!! We both went in, very dubious about our pottery abilities, but she was patient and so helpful that we both made many pieces that came out so much better than we expected. Unfortunately our time restraints couldn't let us finish our pieces, but Laura finished and fired our pieces and happily shipped them to us. We were delighted and surprised to see how beautiful they all were when we unpacked them. I'd highly recommend her classes to anyone in the area, or traveling to the area!! You won't regret it!!

In transit from Ontario to our home in Maryland, we spent the night in Corning. We had done a fair…read moreamount of hiking at Letchworth State Park earlier that day, and in the middle of the night, my wife awoke with excruciating pain in her right knee---she has been postponing a knee replacement and it had caught up with her big-time. She couldn't put any weight on it. To get her home, I needed to find crutches or a wheelchair or something. This store was right next to the hotel, so I went over the next morning, and a very friendly and well trained lady explained why a walker might be better than crutches, and loaned me one of each to see which would be better for my wife. She didn't take a deposit, she just said, "see which one works better and bring them back and we'll get your wife fitted." Well the walker was the way to go. We went back and since we weren't staying around, we couldn't rent one, but the lady gave us a nice discount on a new one, fit it to my wife, and we also got an ice pack and some Ace bandages. So friendly, caring, and kind...and great prices too. We got home fine, and were thankful that serendipity put us in a hotel right next to Everything Medical Equipment & Supplies, a really first rate operation.

I saw this place the night before and made it my mission that I was just going to stop in and check…read morethings out but I ended up buying an armload of superwash wool! The woman working there was extremely helpful with my many questions. There were yarn brands that I was not familiar with and she encouraged me to take my time and have a look. The shop is nicely organized, bright, and welcoming. On this day, there was an amazing selection of yarns on sale out front!
