I've been to Vapor Funky Monkey a few times before, but yesterday will be my last. On their long decline, this is where I get off. Yes, their prices for hardware is double the price you can get online, but you cant beat being able to check them out in person, so that was worth it but their selection is woefully small. They used to make their own juice on-site. They used to have all the flavors that are listed on their website. Not any more. And since they discontinued the flavors I had before, despite what their website says, they no longer offer samples and you have to buy a whole bottle. Ok, fine. The young gentleman with the long hair has fantastic knowledge of the trade. I stressed my concerns of lack of functionality in glassware and pointed me in the proper direction. I am very happy with my purchase and would happily spend their price tags, in compliments to the service alone. To anyone giving gripe about the price is being more in person, you are just lacking basic entrepreneurial skills and that is why you're a basic consumer, and not in the position that these fine establishment owners are. I was there on Saturday July 20th and I ordered a Strawberry vape which was in the glass case as soon as you walk in and so when I opened the box it is was leaking all inside the plastic wrapper so the guy gave me another one. This one didnt come with the strawberry flavor and it was hard to smoke. I told him this one doesnt work either and I want my $ back He refused mind you I paid cash. So since I was in a smoking mood I brought a RAZ worked fine I really enjoyed it. Needless to say that the younger YT guy robbed me and didnt care and I spent $60. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! I WAS SCAMMED OUT OF $67 AND SOLD 2 FAKE ELF BARS!!! I had been coming in about 1x/week for a couple months now (just moved to the area), and most recently, I asked for 1 mint elf bar. The owner grabbed 2 off the shelf, to which I restated that I just wanted 1. He hesitated for a moment, started to put one back, asked me if I was sure I only wanted the 1, to which I decided I would just buy 2 since I had the money and it would save me a trip next week. I did not try either in store (honestly my bad for not asking). When I opened the first vape this morning, the light was blue instead of white, the taste was AWFUL, and the plastic felt chintzy. I scanned the QR code for verification and it said the serial was real, but had been checked FOUR other times. In anger, I opened the other vape to find the same issues and a serial that had been checked FIVE other times. I feel that it was intentional that he had grabbed 2 instead of 1 knowing they were poor quality and I don't regularly open the boxes in store. I feel so dumb for removing both vapes from theit packaging and have since thrown both away because they were THAT bad. I would give 0 stars if I could. I recommend Vape & Artisan Glass Gallery also on Main St; I have had 2 positive experiences there and they now carry elf bars (did not when I first moved)! Horrible service. The guy was basically breathing down my neck, and I felt him staring at me in an uncomfortable manner. He began to tell me the vapes I'm looking at are on the expensive side. Initially, I was polite and thanked him; Not 5 min later, he said it again. I must add that there were prices labeled on the vapes! I've gone into this store three times now and each time I am more pleased. The two gentleman working there are very knowledgable, helpful and offer great deals. They'll show you exactly how to use your device and if anything isn't working properly they welcome you back to offer their assistance. They have a large menu of flavors to choose from (that they make themselves) and you can choose the nicotine level you want from 0mg to 24mg. I have been a pack-a-day smoker for 12 years and with the help of vaping I have been smoke free for over one month. It's safer, tastier and much cheaper. One bottle of "juice" costs 8 dollars here, which is equivalent to about 7 packs of cigarettes. I highly recommend this store for anyone interested in the electronic cigarettes, whether for recreation, cutting back or quitting smoking! :) read more

So I'd never smoked an ecig, aside from a few random puffs on my girlfriends. She lost her charger, and we needed a quick place to stop to get her a new one. We were cutting it close to closing time for the other shops in the area, so decided we had to go to Funky Monkey since they're open until 8. We're so glad we did! The 2 gentleman that run the shop couldn't have been nicer. They welcomed us in, and were very accommodating. They encouraged us to try their flavors, which were all delicious, and answered all the questions I had as a non-vaper. We got the charger she needed, and some extras. I decided to give vaping a shot to help cut back on my filthy cigarette habit, and bought myself a set of 2 vaporizers, and the Extreme Ice and Cotton Candy flavors. We couldn't be happier with our visit and will definitely be back... Probably every time we need new juice. Highly recommended! Updating review and dropping 1 star simply based on prices. You can get great juices online for 60-70% less online, especially in 30mL. read more

I bought a revenger mini from vaporesso and the charge doesn't last for more than an hour even when I leave it charging for hours on end. The CBD oil in the tank is burning all the medicinal benefits away and I'm only on 30W. I went to the shop the first time and the employee was friendly and sold me the vape for $110 or so, I got home and used it for a week or two with a crappy battery and I just couldn't do it anymore so I called back asking if they could give me my money back (since I went to another vape shop where I was treated WAY better and got another vape for half the price that works 100 times better) and the MANAGER gave me the most disgusting attitude and refused to even accept that the product wasn't working. He kept telling me it was a great product (maybe I got a faulty one?). Either way, as a manager of a business I would have expected him to be way more cooperative to a paying customer that didn't get the product she was promised. Will never be shopping here again. I don't recommend it to anyone. Also, if anyone ever tries to compare this vape to a Honda (which the first employee did), RUN. I'd give this place less stars if I could. read more

My one star review is based purely on the lack of battery knowledge i experienced in this shop. After asking a few questions, it appears to me that the owner and employee dont know much about proper battery safety and shouldn't continue selling mech mods and especially subohm tanks without educating themselves further. I am providing this feedback not as an attack, but in the hopes that they will take it upon themselves to do this and to ENSURE that no one ever leaves their store with a subohm tank or a RDA without knowing ohms law and exactly what batteries are safe to use with these setups. In this store or any other, do NOT buy an Aspire Atlantis tank or Kanger Sub Tank without reading about them first, same for trying to build subohm coils. It is not ok to use a "protected" battery with these. You NEED a IMR battery (safer chemistry vs protected) that is high drain, high amp. Look for a video of a battery "venting" and learn that anything else is UNSAFE. I believe all vape shops should be fully educated on this topic and those tanks should come with big warning labels on them. They can be safe and AWESOME with proper batteries. Otherwise, you are putting a pipebomb in your hand and face. If i misunderstood the knowledge level, i apologize, but its not ok to be unclear with customers on this topic. I found this place online just before leaving work in NJ. I knew of no other Vape Shops other than one in KOP which I didn't much care for. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and asked what type of experience I was looking for and the owner took time to listen and explain and demonstrate which product would fit what I wanted and fit my budget. He was very patient and taught me how to use my new Vape which was well worth the money I spent. He even explained why I shouldn't use such a high nicotine content in the new one I bought I was used to buying. I like this place. I bought my very first mod here after much debate. So far, it's working well and I do like it. All of the juices they sell are house blends and they are pretty tasty. Some of their testers were dry though, and instead of refilling them so I could try the flavors, they kind of just shrugged it off which came off a bit lazy. Also, their juices are a little more expensive than average. I've deducted one star because I believe the men running this store are not necessarily the most knowledgeable when it comes to mods (which makes it a bit ironic that this is where I purchased my first one.) When I decided which mod I was going to get, I had to wait about 20-30 minutes before they could get it working. Apparently it was a "quick fix" but it still made me nervous and I was 5 minutes from scrubbing the mission completely. Also, I felt somewhat slighted because they really "sold" me on the mod with the understanding that my pens' battery life were the main driving force behind the switch. Steve told me that the battery in his mod lasts him around 1.5 days and he vapes all day. This isn't actually the case which I didn't learn until I saw it for myself. Also, I've had other vape shops tell me that the batteries I purchased, in general, aren't necessarily "ideal" for the mod I have. The atomizer in my Aerotank also weren't appropriate for a mod battery. I do like the men running this store but I have the feeling that they are slightly more schooled in vaporizer pens than mechanical mods which is probably why all the reviews here are from first-time vapers who did not purchase mods. I understand that this review sounds somewhat negative, but honestly, I know if I have a problem with what I've purchased that I will be able to take it to them and find a fair solution. Integrity is a big factor in this industry as it is fairly new and many brick-and-mortar owners are making their own rules. These are nice guys and I'd like to see this location thrive. read more

I bought an istick mini here one day on my way home from work. The reason I went here is because the place on ridge ave didn't have the mini. Anyway I have a pen type vapor stick and ask the gentlemen that was helping me was the mini stronger than the battery I had he said he didn't know so I bought the mini. When I got home I checked the box my battery came in and it was the same actually not as strong. This store does not take returns. So I called the guy told him my issue and ask if I could exchange it and he said yes. So I ran back down and bought the istick 20 watt he charged me $75.00 for it. Over the weekend I went to the vape shop on the ridge in Roxboro I believe its called ecigg and purchased some coils. While I was there I ask the girl what they charge for the 20 watt istick she said they didn't carry it anymore but had the 30 watt for $55.00 and I've seen them on amazon for 39.99. I felt robbed and will never patronize this store again. read more
