Almost what you would expect in a smoke shop. Not very attentive just walking around having personal conversations with no help. I walked in with airpods in as nearly every human does because that's their purpose. After I stood there for a good 7 minute is with no help thanked them for their help and left. Excuses were.. 1. we thought you were listening to music. 2. Why didn't I speak to them ( when they should probably be greeting customers upon entrance whether perceived to be listening or engaged in something or not. The people working there seriously hate that job for them to act the way they do. Absolutely no good customer service except for the back guy. I go there due to its convenience of being so close to where I live. 1. I went in to buy some Tobacco for my hooka and paid cash for the flavor. The guy with the Beanie didn't give me proper change and I guess it's my fault too because I have having a small convo with the black gentleman. When I went back he completely denied it and wouldn't y'all me. 2. Bought a puff bar there that turned out to be faulty literally 30 minutes after the purchase. I went in on a Saturday night a little nervous thinking I would be intimidated but Kevin & Rob really welcomed me in and schooled me on all things vape. I was impressed. They really know their stuff! Absolute trash service, bordering on prejudice. I'm a black customer who went with my white partner to the store. The employee (black guy, dreads) absolutely ignored my partner who waited patiently at the counter to be helped. His vape juice was behind the counter. After a couple mins a black customer who had come in after us walked up to the counter with his white gf (they had been in the store browsing but not yet ready) and the employee jumped to help them without saying a word to my partner. My partner handled it gracefully and waited for the other couple to be done before asking for his vape juice, and he even complimented the employee on the store to make him feel at ease. I love Houston and was so personally disrespected and saddened at the interaction. It is not a good representation of our community to be prejudiced or unprofessional, regardless of race/gender/creed and this injustice needs to be pointed out. I just needed to get a replacement glass pipe here and was able to get a 10% discount for checking in on Yelp and the guy working the counter was very helpful although I was only there maybe 10 minutes. Only thing I didn't like was they had music on that had cuss words just about every other word and is very distracting and it made me want to leave quickly. Better music would have made me probably stay and linger and possibly have spent more. The ambience for a sale was not present there. maybe the manager should rethink what they are listening to over the loudspeakers. It's not about what they want it's about what the customers want. My friend and I stopped by to browse. We found a couple of things we wanted to look at. The 2 "gentlemen" that were working were incredibly rude. Being that we were the only people in the store they should have actually wanted to help us and sell something. Not cheap items either: a scale and some hand blown glass.
