Pretty good beer, nice staff, and good amount of space to hang out. There was a food cart there when we came however I didn't try but a good option to have. The lawn is really nice but would be cool if some of the picnic tables were on it. Unfortunately there were lots on flys both outside and in. read more

Enjoyed a delightful lunch and delicious brews today - for those that enjoy their beers on the lighter side, Casita is a bright lager, a close second my favorite, Sunflight, a citrus wheat beer. But the burgers, oh.my.goodness... THE BURGERS! Triple Cs features the most amazing smash burger I've ever tasted. I've been wanting to try Varietal Beer Co. for a while and was excited to finally get a chance to try several of their beers. The first beer we had was my favorite. It was called the Sunflight which was an orange wheat beer which had a good flavor profile to it and was very enjoyable. The next beer was their Casita Lager. This beer wasn't too bad but the flavor was very, very slight. It made one question if it was on purpose or not. But once you had a few sips and got used to it it wasn't too bad. The final beer was the Twine Climber IPA. Honestly I didn't find anything too memorable with this one other than it was a good beer to relax to but not a flavor profile that I could recall much of during this tasting session. read more

A nice surprise in the small town of Sunnyside , Washington and absolutely a must stop if you like great beer. Four stars for less than attentive service from the tap tender. She seemed a little busy with the music and doing something else on the POS system. The website currently shows the real hours vs the FB page, but you may still want to call ahead if you are unsure. We enjoyed the Twine Climber (6.7%abv), a juicy west coast IPA and the Sup Cuz (6.5% abv) , Loza Farms hazy IPA. Both delicious, a clean crisp pallet with no lingering bitterness. Next up, Gorgon Sister (6.66%) labeled heavily hopped, but not to me and very flavorful. Coral Motel (5.1%) Hazy Pale Ale would definitely be my summer choice. Lovely aromas and a slight hop. All of the beers were great choices on an big menu. Food at the Triple C's food truck makes an awesome smash burger. We enjoyed a shared Lolo, fries and a drink. After reading about this place for a long time, and having a lot of friends visit it, we finally made it down on the day of the annual Farm implement parade. We found a place that we are excited to go back to! It's located in downtown Sunnyside, right at the end of the parade route as it were, and has some great space both inside and outside. A portion of the space outside is covered, and a portion is just open with picnic tables. If also got a nice lawn that is all enclosed so the kids can run around. In the summertime, I imagine this place is awesome! Inside they've got some great and variable spaces for people to sit including counter height tables, normal tables and plenty of room to walk around. There's also a back area with a number of arcade games... Excited to check that area out at another time! The beer selection here is solid and includes around a dozen different options. They're one of the few places that has a really nice eclectic mix of things the range from super late, to super happy, two brown ales and finally a barrel aged stout. They also have ciders on tap as well as pop. We came on an evening when they had food - the courtyard is perfect for a food truck and for letting the kids run around! This place in an absolute gem in a spot that didn't have a good brewery before they showed up. If you're in the area or just like good beer, you should check this place out! read more

This brewery is great!! The owners/brewer are all very friendly and have been great with the community and hosting very fun events. They even let outside groups host events like reunions in their beer garden. They offer many style of beers including lagers, pilsners, sours, IPA's, stouts and many others. The beertenders are great and make you feel very welcomed.....even if you don't know much about beer and looking to try different beers. The Casita lager is award winning and a great beer to try if you prefer beers similar to Bud Light or Coors. It is dog and kid friendly and a really fun environment. They have food trucks most days of really awesome local food vendors! Washington has pretty strict permits for breweries and serving wine, but there are 2 great wineries down the street; Co Dinn Cellars and Cote Bonneville. read more

This is a 2.5 star review/almost three. I absolutely love the idea and the venue. This place has great potential to make the community better. They really really really need to include some Bud Light or Coors Light etc. The one time I was there I heard often that the beer wasn't good. It's definitely an acquired taste and more people would be willing to go hang out there with their friends who have acquired that taste if they had something light to drink there also. Or let people bring in bottles of wine and charge a corking fee. read more

I absolutely love this brewery! Varietal was my first ever brewery that I visited, thanks to my boyfriend. My guy is a lover of beer lol and I'm not much of a drinker but this is one of our go to spots! I always feel welcomed and comfortable. I do enjoy taking sips of their beers especially when they release a new one. The staff is always friendly & knowledgeable. The environment is welcoming and full of positive energy and to me that's very important! I've met a few of the owners and let me tell ya, they are super humble, friendly, genuine nice guys who take pride in their craft and business! If you enjoy good quality beer and like to support local businesses I'd definitely recommend. If your new to the brewery scene this is a great place to begin because for me personally, they kinda set the bar pretty high!
