Seriously good beer here. Great spot for families, including the canine members. Food truck with solid eats. Highly recommended!

This smash burger with fries - so good, I'm speechless... paired with a pint of Sunflight

Enjoyed a delightful lunch and delicious brews today - for those that enjoy their beers on the lighter side, Casita is a bright lager, a close second my favorite, Sunflight, a citrus wheat beer. But the burgers, oh.my.goodness... THE BURGERS! Triple Cs features the most amazing smash burger I've ever tasted. Highly recommend making this a stop for anyone in the Sunnyside area - fantastic place for a quick beer and bite to eat.

Sunglight, my favorite beer I tried from Varietal.

I've been wanting to try Varietal Beer Co. for a while and was excited to finally get a chance to try several of their beers. The first beer we had was my favorite. It was called the Sunflight which was an orange wheat beer which had a good flavor profile to it and was very enjoyable. The next beer was their Casita Lager. This beer wasn't too bad but the flavor was very, very slight. It made one question if it was on purpose or not. But once you had a few sips and got used to it it wasn't too bad. The final beer was the Twine Climber IPA. Honestly I didn't find anything too memorable with this one other than it was a good beer to relax to but not a flavor profile that I could recall much of during this tasting session.

This place was right on point! Hazy? Check! Barley wine? Check! West coast IPA? Check! Smoothie beer? Slushee beer? Sour beer? Check, check, check! Great knowledgeable and friendly staff check! Loved this brewery and everything about it. Made us feel right at home and the beer was great. Right in the middle of Yakima hop and wine country. (Stop by tacos Apatzingan and bring your food over!)

Twine Climber, juicy west coast IPA and Sup Cuz, Loza Farms hazy IPA

A nice surprise in the small town of Sunnyside , Washington and absolutely a must stop if you like great beer. Four stars for less than attentive service from the tap tender. She seemed a little busy with the music and doing something else on the POS system. The website currently shows the real hours vs the FB page, but you may still want to call ahead if you are unsure. We enjoyed the Twine Climber (6.7%abv), a juicy west coast IPA and the Sup Cuz (6.5% abv) , Loza Farms hazy IPA. Both delicious, a clean crisp pallet with no lingering bitterness. Next up, Gorgon Sister (6.66%) labeled heavily hopped, but not to me and very flavorful. Coral Motel (5.1%) Hazy Pale Ale would definitely be my summer choice. Lovely aromas and a slight hop. All of the beers were great choices on an big menu. Food at the Triple C's food truck makes an awesome smash burger. We enjoyed a shared Lolo, fries and a drink. Come on in and give them a try, it will be worth your time.

We've been traveling to the Yakima area for work all summer and friends suggested we visit Varietal. Great vibe. Great beer. I had a slushie that was tart and refreshing. Nice outside seating area. We will return.

Just hanging at varietal with some great smoked bbq

The Casita lager is award winning and a great beer to try if you prefer beers similar to Bud Light or Coors.

This was prepandemic so I went to Prosser's other brewery, Whitstran Brewing instead. At the time Prosser had two breweries but now it's just down to one. Whitsran still exists but is now more of a bistro which means Horse Heaven is the only option you got for this town now. I got in a few weeks ago, right when some sort of festival was going on and indeed the brewery was open this time around. I got their Apricot Honey, a fruit beer which I enjoyed quite a bit! The beertender also gave me a generous portion of a bowl of peanuts and that was a pleasant snack to have since I didn't each much so far for the day. The Apricot Honey beer was a well made one, that's for sure. The featured fruit was well represented and the aromatics and lightness I could really appreciate. A very refreshing beer and I took my time with it. I had a bowl of peanuts to finish off and a Pokémon Go event was just starting so I wasn't in any hurry and resume my road trip quite yet. Despite the festival the brewery taproom was fairly peaceful and only moderately busy which I didn't necessarily mind.

This place delivered on all fronts! Kinda hard to find on an alleyway in downtown Prosser, I enjoyed listening to the 80s music the city pipes from speakers on every corner (no really) while we searched for the brewery. It was worth the attempt, as we entered into their tiny tasting room and got down to business. My friend ordered a tasting flight and I got a ruby ale. She fell in love with their honey ale and grabbed a pint, while I chose their ahhmmazing cherry porter for my second pour. I don't even LIKE Dr. Pepper but this beer tasted a lot like it, and in a good way. The owner was also on hand pouring, and even sat down with us for awhile to talk about his brewery and share some local stories. This is what I love about small towns, and small breweries. If I return to Prosser it might not even be for the wine next time, but for another pint of that cherry porter!

Very chill place a little out of the way, but worth the effort to find it. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating and a corn hole setup. They have a decent food menu, including perhaps the tastiest grilled ham and cheese sammie I've ever had (their secret is the extra loving steps taken in the prep). I liked all four beers in my flight, including a stout, a sour and two IPAs. The guy working there was great - we swapped stories about the trials and tribulations of being left handed.

Wandering Hop has highly creative and interesting beers which is something I always have my eye on for. Here they have milkshake beer which isn't exactly like beer and ice cream together but a kind of beer with a nice smooth flavor to it. I got Destination Home here which is a milkshake IPA which I really fell in love with. The beer was so awesome I could have ordered another or something completely different... I'm sure I would have like it... like the cream pepper beer for instance. But I controlled myself and just got the one since we were on a sampling tour of breweries we haven't visited yet so we moved on. On my latest visit Wandering Hop easily won out on which brewery I enjoyed most.
