The Mocha 77! A very fine stout!

5th Line is one of the newer breweries to emerge out of the Yakima craft beer community. On our way back from Walla Walla we stopped by here to try it out. Ah! This brewery is hockey themed! Cool! Steve and I tried out two different beers from this brewery and we liked it pretty well! The Bench Water Blonde was the first beer we both had. This was a bright, Belgiany and honeyed kind of blonde. Very drinkable and something you can kick back with pretty easily and maybe have a pint or two of it. Pretty good on the lighter beer side! The Mocha 77 was the next beer we shared. As the name implies it was a nice, dark stout with chocolate and coffee flavor features which proved to be a nice one to drink. We liked sharing this one as we didn't want a whole pint. Good addition to the Yakima craft beer community and one that is well worth stopping at if in town!

The food is better than expected for a brewery, the beer is good, the hockey theme is a nice change of pace.

A hockey Brewery! In Canada? Seattle? Spokane? No in Yakima!!! Man what a surprise to stumble on, really good beers with a large selection of types. Most breweries are super heavy on IPA's and they have some but they also have a lot of Pale Ales and Stouts. Silky Mitts is my fave with a hoppy taste that doesn't over power but still really crisp. Also they heat up your chips and salsa in the oven for you! So yes I will be coming back!

Great spot! Super cute and clean. Workers are so nice. Keg blew as our beer was being poured and even though our cup was almost full, the beer tender still brought us another full glass. Nice outdoor seating, and even though the view is a parking lot, it's as super quiet and relaxing. Beer is also delicious . 10 out of 10 recommend!

Very chill place a little out of the way, but worth the effort to find it. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating and a corn hole setup. They have a decent food menu, including perhaps the tastiest grilled ham and cheese sammie I've ever had (their secret is the extra loving steps taken in the prep). I liked all four beers in my flight, including a stout, a sour and two IPAs. The guy working there was great - we swapped stories about the trials and tribulations of being left handed.

Wandering Hop has highly creative and interesting beers which is something I always have my eye on for. Here they have milkshake beer which isn't exactly like beer and ice cream together but a kind of beer with a nice smooth flavor to it. I got Destination Home here which is a milkshake IPA which I really fell in love with. The beer was so awesome I could have ordered another or something completely different... I'm sure I would have like it... like the cream pepper beer for instance. But I controlled myself and just got the one since we were on a sampling tour of breweries we haven't visited yet so we moved on. On my latest visit Wandering Hop easily won out on which brewery I enjoyed most.

Was passing through Yakima and wanted to grab a growler of beer. After some simple Google search,…read more found Hop Capitol Brewing that had 4 good sour beers that kindled my interest. Now, I'm unclear whether Hop Capitol is the new brewery where previously Yakima Craft Brewing was or if a new name or they are both the same. Sampled their sours and was immediately captivated by their guava sour. Guava, a tropical fruit has a mellow sweet and fragrant taste, balances the sour very well. Took back a growler of that and enjoyed it the next day in the historic 100F weather in Seattle. Great brewery and recommended!

It's a relatively plain looking building from the outside, but inside is quite impressive! Upon entering, you'll be struck by how much space there is in here. Whether you're meeting with a group of 2 or 30, there's lots of room to spread out. Tons of stuff to do - darts, ping pong, Foosball, cornhole, arcade games, beer, did I mention beer! Tons of options including their stuff, tons of other local options, ciders and a few pops for those who like to hang out, but don't love them hops. They have a few food options - we just opted for pretzels and they were pretzelly as expected! The folks working here are super chill and the beer is priced like you'd expect it. If you love $7 Pabst, this isn't your spot. If you love beer culture and creativity going into your brew, this is a place you need to check out!
