All these years either by luck or chance, I've only dealt with his wife for all my tailoring needs and had only ever interacted with him to drop off my dry-cleaning. As I drove away it hit me like a ton of bricks how unacceptable his comments were and how passive my reaction was. In the next parking lot over is another dry cleaners. So I pulled in and inquired about how much uniform patching was. It was literally 40% less. I drove back to Towaco Cleaners and asked for my uniform back and then asked if there was any dry-cleaning under my husband's and my name. When I got all my things I said to the owner, "My husband and I've both been customers here for 7 years and you just lost our business for being so rude. I simply asked you a question about price and you made a racist comment." Instead of apologizing, he waved me off and said "All Indian people are so so cheap and they talk so much." Seriously!!!! I told him I was going to post online about it and that's what I'm doing. I'm just in shock. I've never had an interaction with any business owner ever like this.
