It was my first time here. I just finished my 90 minutes massage and it felt so good! Been having so much tightness on my upper back and shoulder lately, decided to book a massage here and it was the best decision. I liked that they are really flexible with appointments. I called just yesterday to book a massage for today and I was accommodated. Came inside and was warmly greeted. The place was neat and serene. As soon as you enter, you'll feel relaxed right away. I was led to my room and waited for my massage therapist. She was so nice and made sure that I am 100% comfortable. She made sure that my body parts are not being over exposed. I liked that before she started, she asked me if I want her to focus on certain area. Told her my back and shoulder. She really worked well on those areas. She checks every now and then on how is the pressure and if I am okay. Too bad that I forgot to ask her name. She really did an excellent job on doing the most relaxing massage that I had in my life. She was gentle yet the pressure hurts so good. After the massage, she wiped my back with hot towel while massaging it too, then I was offered tea or coffee. Been here twice now for deep tissue massages and let me tell you! I walk out a new man every time! They really stretch you out and focus on tight spots throughout your body. very relaxing 1hr massage at @vasathaimassage in downtown hnl! i had a gift card but $60/hr is an amazing deal- i've never had a full massage before and was a little confused but i found it to be very relaxing without making me sleepy. I've had that massage table face hole thing at psychical therapy and found it awful for my giant face. but this table was very soft and magical. you leave your shoes at the door, go to your room and you are left in the room to strip to just your bottoms and get under the sheet- she actually tucked the sheet into my underwear as she moved to a new section so i was never over exposed which i thought was smart. you stand face down, then face up and ended cross legged for the stretch that normally twists and cracks your spine. i let her do more of a relaxing medium firm pressure massage though i'm sure you could've asked for more pressure to get one of those painful massages that feel good afterwards.... but one hour went by SO FAST, so relaxed! i was asked if i wanted tea or water and i picked tea. i love that the tea was waiting for me at the lobby area and i had a moment to collect myself. you're gonna want to spend a few minutes because you're so relaxed if a shame to rush out the door. I recommend you give yourself some time to let it soak in. and because you're being moisturized, i recommend to shower and exfoliate before hand and become super moisturized ! id also recommend being able to go home and sleep after haha i bet it would've been the best nap ever- if you're like me and like to bask in being relaxed (a rare occurrence ). lovely place, relaxing music, idk how they turned this in to a sanctuary in this weird building lol. i felt she didn't get lazy or started making stuff up haha, every move was very purposeful and exactly 1 hour. very nice although i was a noob. Ill be back- maybe for a harder massage, and maybe for a couples massage too! Also they have a sign in the front that says NON-SEXUAL MASSAGE ONLY! My fiancé was complaining about back pain and I figured I would treat him and I to a couples massage. This was our first time getting a massage. It was very relaxing! The lady I had was perfect with pressure I wanted. I told her I had stubbed my toe and it was sore and she remembered every time she got close and was very careful with my foot. Probably one of the best massages I have received! And this is coming from someone who frequently travels to Asia and has been spoiled by great massages at cheap prices. Vasa Thai massage therapists are always able to find the knots in my back, neck and shoulder and work their magic to remove them. I love the stretches they give at the end as well. I have always been able to get an appointment with very short notices (less than an hour) during the day. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant, and the place is tranquil and quiet. Went to this place yesterday per my friend recommendation and I must say I am in love! I having massage almost once a week and know a bit about how to do one and I can tell this place well know on what they are providing. Easy to make reservation and everyone is so pleasant, place is super clean and have that spa vibe when I walked in. I talked to the owner, Wadee who is super sweet. She is in this business for more than 10 years, very knowledgable. She recommend either oil message or hot stone for me as I love relaxing massage. I did just 1 hour oil massage yesterday coz I am not quite sure how good they are but will defiantly come back for longer hour! A plus is they give Kamaaina and military discount and free parking! Excellent! Our family visited Thailand last year and enjoyed massages every other day. Our 7 year old daughter and I shared the couple's room for a perfect 90 minute massage. The comfort, sounds, smells, total experience with tea after was truly perfect! The cost is $1/minute. The quality was as good if not better than resort massages we have experienced. My husband and I have been to a few massage places on island and we think Vasa Thai is the best! The location is clean and convenient, especially for people who live in the downtown area. (But don't let that stop you if you don't reside in town!) The staff was super friendly, listened to our concerns, and was considerate of pressure to very achy muscles. We were on our honeymoon in Hawaii in May and whilst at the Ala Moana centre we decided to get a thai massage. The premise was easy to find and had a tranquil ambience. The decor was clean and the staff were extremely welcoming. Found this place on a whim. My regular therapist started scheduling me later and later in the day I think due to her sleeping in and I don't like to eat or drink before getting a massage due to the pressing on my back makes me want to use the bathroom. So basically I starve before getting a massage from her. On a whim, I looked on line for a place near me and found VASA THAI!!!! From the moment I called and made an appointment early in the morning, I had a good feeling about this place. I was greeted professionally by a young woman named Wadee who was also my therapist. The place smelled like incense and deep tissue massaging lotions, was very neat, clean and orderly, and made me feel really peaceful. Wadee is a small woman but don't let that fool you. She could go super deep and literally break up the knots in my back that many others couldn't. When she was done, I simply didn't want it to end, I was in heaven. She wiped me down with a hot towel that smelled like lemons and offered me some kind of Thai tea that just hit the spot when I made it to the receptionist desk. This has become my go to place from then on. I have mixed emotions about writing a positive review on Vasa Thai due to it might make her more busy and not be able to take me when I need her, but I feel that this diamond in the rough has to be shared to the public. read more
