The ease of ordering online, the very quick delivery, and the absolute dedication in careful, perfect packing that made sure our glass orb (24 inches tall and 10 inches wide) arrived in perfect condition - was incredibly impressive. Nervous that such a large and delicate glass item could arrive broken, instead It was like having a Russian Doll delivered: the large orb carefully bubble wrapped inside one box that in itself could have been shipped on its own, with that wrapped and insulated and taped box inside another box, also padded and taped then put inside yet another box!!!! BAD - Do not buy from here! Purchased Glass Domes and they had scuff marks on every dome like they had been pushed across a steel plate. The bases had sharp edges and most of them leaned like the tower of Pisa !! Asked for refund with return shipping because they were damaged and they said no way it was the hand blown look. I normally order from a store in San Diego but ran across Vase Market. I really like their unique pieces, selection and that they gave quantity discounts. I had an issue with a couple of the pieces and they VERY QUICKLY took care of the issue. This made me so happy, especially since the San Diego vendor took what felt like forever to deal with issues and defects. I have already suggested to other friends. I purchased a large cloche-type terrarium for a tropical plant. My item was packaged very well, and when I say "very well", I mean like Ft Knox-type "ain't nothing moving this thing during transport" well. I placed an order for a set of 3 apothecary jars and received all of them are defective. Huge bubbles(I'm not talking about small ones you usually see in cheap glasses) that you can feel the bump if you touch. Tilted. There was one vase broken and Vase Market was prompt in responding to me. Unfortunately, they were unable to send me a replacement but they were able to refund me for the one vase plus shipping & handling, as soon as I provided a picture of the broken vase. They were very apologetic and considerate in responding as well. One thing I had a little difficulty with was the tracking information. This was my first time ordering, and never again. I ordered 30 hurricanes and 8 of them came broken or totally pulverized, I am a florist who orders a lot online, so I understand that breakage in a glass shipment happens, but as I opened the shipment I could not believe how poorly these were packaged, -The individual boxes were taped together with NO cushion packaging on the inside at all, then the bundle was wrapped in one layer of bubble packaging - as if that were going to prevent breakage. There was absolutely NO care and NO consideration of the customer receiving these on the other end. When I called customer service to ask how to deal with this situation, the rep said to open all packages and take pictures of each item. I told him I can open most but didn't want to open all the boxes and there was broken large chucks of glass poking through the cardboard, - I did not want to get cut in handling these boxes, there were small shards of glass spilling out, as well as large chunks poking through some of the packages. He seemed unconcerned and cut me off as I was explaining this, and only repeated that they need pictures of each item to receive any return, so I needed to open them. I carefully opened all boxes and now have shards of glass all over my floor to deal with. Hopefully, the return will go through easily, but I've wasted too much of my time dealing with something that could have been easily prevented by even the most basic care in packaging. Update: Customer service responded to my refund request within hours, so I've upped my review to two stars instead of 1. I will accept the refund and will replace the 8 broken ones through an order with another company. I still will not order here again, it's just not worth the time and trouble it took to deal with this. read more

I ordered 4 apothecary jars. I never saw a package so securely packed...nothing came broken so mission accomplished. It did take me some time to unwrap the items but I prefer that than the headache of broken glass and returns. Overall, the jars are beautiful. However, two of the jars has some issues. One is completely lopsided, so not aesthetically pleasing and the other is not levelled, so it seems like it's about to fall over. The liner supplied with our boxes leaked and ended up ruining $400 worth of flowers. The jars arrived with only one matching bottom and top usable. One top and one bottom were crushed. The packing was next to nothing inside the box and outside. They tried to charge me 118.00 for shipping labels, and the cost of the merchandise is 192.00. Leaving me with a whopping 74.00 refund. The box was bubble wrapped, but inside the box the vase had nothing around it except paper. I contacted customer service and provided the needed pictures. They gave me a partial refund but that did not cover ordering a new vase to replace the one that arrived broken. So I ended up spending more money out of pocket because one came broken. ??? Doesn't make sense to me. They either need to be packaged correctly or they should cover the cost completely when broken. I expect to get what I paid for originally.
