This is my neighborhood HomeGoods store. TBH, I come here weekly due to the convenience, not because they are the most organized or offer the best exceptional customer service. Pros for this location aside it being just minutes away from my house is its huge parking lot. Cons is their broken shopping carts. Not sure why but if you take the shopping cart outside, the wheels freezes up where you would need to lift up the cart to move it out of the middle of the parking lot. This happens every time and not just to me, but also those around me with shopping carts. It's extremely frustrating when you have bigger items in your cart and need to carry it to your car. Like most HomeGoods stores, it is directly connected to a TJ Maxx where you can find apparel and accessories for the whole family. I don't shop there so I just usually get what I need at HomeGoods and head straight to checkout. Overall, HomeGoods in general is one of my favorite retail store, because I love shopping for home decor and kitchen things. My favorite location is probably the store in Pasadena or Walnut. My obsession? Their $0.99 reusable bags - I literally have hundreds of them, because they seem to come out with different designs every week. My trunk is full of their bags but I still go in without them so I could buy new ones to add to my collection. read more

This is a huge location they have so much selection the TJ Maxx and the home goods are connected to each other so it's perfect you might even eat two carts because you end up getting so much stuff parking is great there's ample parking returns are pretty easy unless you get sometimes there are some very selective staff that are very selective in the return process let's just say they might be extra picky but in the end they will still return your item I won't mention any names as they know who they are read more

Definitely my favorite place to shop for my home decors and all other crafts stuff with reasonable prices. There are so many choices for mugs, gift bags, beddings, display decors...etc. I always stuck here for hours pleasantly to browse. Overall they keep things at the right places and it is clean and neat enough for a big store like this. All staffs are nice and willing to assist every time I come here at least, it makes me feel so welcomed. This is my go-to homegoods. I've been going to this location for over 10 years and here almost weekly with my two small dogs. The staff are always welcoming and always smile when they see my dogs! Their stuff is well organized and kept. Good selection of things as well. I like to look at their home decor section, pet section, and sometimes adult clothing on the TJMaxx side. Compared to other locations, I find that this one has the best selection of things and I almost always find a hidden treasure. There can be a line during weekends especially near the holidays but nothing too crazy compared to some other locations and the cashiers are fast! read more

The overall shopping experience was so-so, but I encountered something beyond my understanding at checkout. Have you ever seen a "reverse price march"? I found three wine glasses that clearly came from the same set, but each individually priced 1.99, 4.50, and 6.00. The original price was already like 6.99, so I figured 6.00 did not sound reasonable for pieces from an incomplete set. I came to the checkout asking if they could do a price match within store, if not, I would be willing to pay 1.99 and 4.50 for two of them while 6.00 would be beyond what I'd be willing to spend on that quality. The staff came, and tore the stickers, marked all three of them at 6.00. Fine, I left them there. But seriously, I have never seen this done at any other budget store or regular retail. Not at Rack, not at anywhere else, thanks TJ Maxx and HomeGoods for showing me a new world of poor service. read more

Heads up if you buy something online with PayPal they will only give you store credit instead of crediting back to original form of payment. Angelica was helping us and she kept questioning items when they were clearly Christmas and one was a white paper with a logo that had pine needle design on the label clearly Christmas but because it was solid white they wouldn't honor it even though it was called Aspen and everyone goes there for Christmas as well as it was with all the Christmas paper. Bella the coordinator wouldn't honor even when I tried to explain it has Christmas motif on the label which is the requirement for the extra 50% off. This Bella was nastier than expected and her manager Veronica was not on duty apparently no manager was when we asked for one. The customer service from Angelica questioning every single thing we found all in the Christmas section and we're clearly Christmas to Bella being so rude and not accommodating to Veronica and management being absent is unacceptable. I would NOT recommend shopping here they are the worst and will not honor anything ruining your shopping experience. The parking lot is disgustingly dirty. Customer service at this location needs a lot of work. The sad part is they end up throwing it away anyway, so sad. Really has gone downhill. read more

the little short asian woman who works as a cashier up-front has no manner. clearly she is a racist. I don't know her name but she was wearing her hair up and her eye brows pulled up towards her head like the character named like Elvira's . she is clearly a respecter of person. and she treats a certain race of people as they are criminals and others aren't. even with proof of purse she tried to stereotyped me, did not even acknowledge me. Part of the problem is, society is not paying much attention to them and their underhanded behavior. so they have been getting a way with lots of illegal activities and behavior. Why they are silently stereotyping decent people because of the color of their skin. under no circumstance could other race of people go to their county ,do the thing they do here and gets away with it. You would not even allowed to live where they live because of the color of your skin. they are given free pass to attack and stereotype innocent people, them turn the table and behave as they are victims. what a shame! This review is based on the customer service Dante gave me. I love home goods and I especially love this store because it has a combined TJMAXX . Which is double the fun! Unfortunately, someone's experience can be ruined by someone's service or should I say lack of. I came to return a blanket and Dante was the person who " helped" me. When I approached the counter there was no greeting. He just stared at me. I said, "Hi, I'd like to return this blanket, please" he went through the motions and the only words he said to me was tap your card. I didn't have my card with me so I asked for a gift card. The interaction itself was awful!! Especially during the holiday season. I understand someone people may not be the friendliest but a simple, "Hello, how are you or how can I help you today" would be the minimum customer service a cashier should offer. I'm not sure what the customer service training is at this store but it's apparent Dante is lacking it. I hope management reads this and understands this unfriendliness causes customers to not feel comfortable shopping at your store read more

I bought a breville espresso machine thinking I got an insane steal paid $250 I kept it in my house for a month opened it set it up on my counter just to look pretty I finally try to use it a week later does not work properly the steam wand doesn't work and the espresso doesn't even get hot , actually the hot function doesn't even work . Of course I threw away the box didn't want that huge thing taking up space in my house and they won't take a return without the box and no location has the same machine so I can't even exchange for the same machine atleast . What a Great Grand Opening! Welcoming Costumers with Free Reusable Bags. No worrying here about driving around and hoping to get a spot, Home Goods is Located in a huge plaza with tons of parking. Walking in to the store everything is very neat and organized, shelf's and racks are fully stocked and labeled accordingly. Employees are fully staffed, were very helpful, and friendly. Keep up the good work and let's keep this store in high standards. I will definitely be returning and updating this review in the near future. HomeGoods, part of the TJ Maxx Company (Ticker:TJX) opened up in Duarte on 10/22/17. Next door, and connected inside, is the clothing store TJ Maxx. They ook over the old location of Albertson's. It felt like years that lot sat empty. So this store is certain to bring shoppers back to the plaza. I walked in less than a week after it opened. Everything was perfectly displayed. Neat, fully stocked, clean and quiet. That made for a nice shopping experience. Can't guarantee that will last with the holidayss approaching. This wasn't a planned trip, and I really didn't need anyting, but saw a plethora of coffee beans. Being an addict, I had to bring some home, even though these were in a very unlikely place. Not just coffee, they have a variety of teas, cookies, gourmet foods and seasonings, even baking kits. The rest of the store carries everything you may need to decorate your home. From the cushions & rugs for the living room, to towels for the bath .... they're all here, categorized by color. Many kitchen items include imported dinnerware. Other range from cutting boards, utensil sets, to things you don't even need, like a sphere ice cube mold. But it's cool to have. Kids and pets aren't left out either. There are many choices little boys & girls and plush beds for the furry ones. I did end up with 4 bags of coffee beans, and that's all I needed (yes, coffee is a 'need') but was fun browsing through their many aisles. Definitely, I'll be bck in the future. read more

Went in tonight to look for a button up shirt for my son and ended up buying a new doggie bed for my doggie and two new bowls for his food and water. My first time here and it was awesome! The store is half TJ maxx and half home goods. You will find anything and everything that you need! Clothing, purses, fragrance, dog stuff and I could go on and on. Grand Opening of HomeGoods was today. Located in the same plaza as Michael's, took over the old Albertson's Market. My husband and I dropped by this newly minted store this afternoon around 4 pm. The lot was nearly packed (also didn't help that there is construction also going on in the parking lot, for the coming soon Aldi Market). Upon entering, friendly and smiling employees greeted customers and welcomed them to the store. Sadly, for a grand opening there was no specials or free items with purchase or for the first "X" amount of customers. The only special offered was 10% off total purchase for those who open a store credit card (but I believe that is always available, not just for the store opening). Anyways, this HomeGoods had a lot of great house ware, gourmet food items (which are my favorite items to purchase at HomeGoods and World Cost Plus), furniture, baking items, etc. On this visit, what really caught my eye was this small little section of cute wrapping paper. Being such a dog lover (if my profile photo didn't already tell you that or the many reviews and tips that mention dog friendly places), I saw this cute dog wrapping paper. Although the label said this was a "cat" wrapping paper, it looked like one of those French Bulldogs or Boston Terriers. Such a sucker for dog related things, I ended up getting a roll (too bad there wasn't any other dog breeds available) and can't wait to wrap non Christmas gifts with it to give to friends and family. What is unique about this particular HomeGoods is that it shares the store space with TJ Maxx. They are connected and so you are able to shop at both. Both stores also share the checkout section as well (this HomeGoods store is smaller than the one in San Dimas). Although I do not shop at HomeGoods on a regular basis, I am glad that a new store like this opened in this other wise dead plaza. It will be good to help generate business in this part of Monrovia. read more

Words cannot explain how much I love walking through HomeGoods and browsing through all the amazing items they have to offer. This specific HomeGoods is connected to TJ Maxx, so this is literally a one-stop shop! You can really find everything you need for your home as well as for gifting - mugs, furniture, wrapping paper, office supplies, decor items, & the list goes on. In addition, whenever I visit, I am always impressed by how neat, well-organized, and well-stocked this store is - I am never disappointed by the inventory! *I would love to give this location five stars. The only reason I am not doing so is because there's usually a very long checkout line whenever I visit. This doesn't deter me from shopping here (as I love everything else about the store) however I do wish it could be improved! read more

The old female cashier here named Cherry Blossom is very rude, unpleasant and unprofessional. I was very polite and nice even though she was giving me her nasty attitude the whole time. I wanted to buy some kids beach chairs and saw that one of them was missing an umbrella. I asked nicely if I could go grab another one which was near the line to pay. What does she do next? Drop the beach chair on the counter, steps back, and with her nasty attitude, tells me to go get it myself! She literally let out an annoying sigh and rolled her eyes at me. Wow, what a B! I literally ran to get it and it only took me 10 seconds. She has such a nasty personality. Then, when the manager walked by, she acted all nice and greeted him. Once he walked passed, she turned back to her ugly self and gave me so much attitude. No one needs your eye rolls and attitude, you nasty old thing. You're not even a lady. You're just BLEH! Worst customer service. She should be fired. Also, she needs to change her name. Where the hell did the name Cherry Blossom come from?? Please change her name tag to Nasty Old Thing. She also short changed me by a few cents. She didn't apologize or say anything. She just gave me back my receipt. If she would have apologized for not having a few cents to give back to me then I would have been okay with it, but she feels that it is okay to short change customers and not say anything. If this were the other way around and I was short of a few cents to pay, she and the store management would not allow it. So unprofessional. read more

I usually enjoy my shopping trips at home goods, however, this time was not so great. While checking out with Martin at register 3 I was asked to make a donation and when I responded with no thank you his behavior was very inappropriate. He asked the employee to his right if she would make a donation and she said of course and then he became dramatic and snarky continuing with his comments about saving a child. I felt very disrespected by this young kid. He needs to keep his judgement to himself especially since I am a customer. I won't be going back to this store and will no longer recommend it to anyone. read more

This is probably the nicest homegoods I have been to. The staff is patient and extremely kind, especially Joe. He was easy to talk to and helped us get three rugs. The rugs are heavy, and they take a while to bundle up, but Joe did a great job and never complained. read more

Don't you guys hate it when you go in looking for ONE specific thing and come out with bags full of unnecessary stuff?! Welp, I was a victim last night :( Initially, my family and I wanted to check out the new TJ Maxx, I wanted to look for new flats. Unfortunately... I am pretty disappointed with the department. Thank goodness it's connected to TJ Maxx's Home Goods because I ended up getting more than what I went in looking for. They have so much to choose from! The pet's section was my favorite! My bf's dog loves to chew up and destroy all his squeaky toys, it's his only joy.. so who am I to prevent him from having the time of his life destroying his toys?? It wouldn't make sense for me to spend a ton of money on toys he'd destroy either so the prices for the dog toys here are perfect! I only paid $3-$4 dollars for each of the squeaky toys, comparing to Pet Smart or even Walmart where the toys would be $9-$12 each. We then went onto the junk food section. This is my absolute favorite part of every department store, whether it's a Marshalls or even a Ross. They always have unique and delicious candy and snacks.. and they're super inexpensive! I came out with 2 filled bags and paid under $30. Parking is plentiful and it was a Sunday evening (which is usually when I'd assume it'd be crowded). The employees here are so much more welcoming and much more friendlier in this department than TJ Maxx's. Victor was the sweetest! He was working near the cashier and saw me juggling a lot of things while walking towards it, and he asked to help hold onto some of them for me. Super friendly staff here at Home Goods! This place finally opened last week. I wanted to check it out on a Saturday in October. Once inside, the place is huge and it has more stuff than Pasadena store. They have tons of Xmas stuff and nick nacks. It's combined with TJ Maxx which is a nice surprise. Lots of staff putting stuff on shelves. I didn't buy anything just looking. What is there NOT to love about HomeGoods, since they been open, little over a week, I been here 4 times already. And man, this is just the beginning, can't wait til I kick into holiday mode! Customer service - awesome, very friendly staff, super nice Store is very organized and jam packed with goodies Personally, I don't care for TJ Maxx, but this store is divided up, where half is clothing and the other half is home items. On the outside tho, it looks like two different stores but inside they are all connected.
